Chapter 97: Chapter - 97 No Sympathy For A Dead Man

Ferdinand’s Point Of View

I headed out the conference room with Payhne and Meyhymn in tow, and we ended up running into Jahcobe. He was carrying Lyukhe’s laptop in his arms. He looked at Lyukhe quizzically before speaking.

"Where are you headed now, Boss...?" Jahcobe asked.

"Perfect timing as always, Jahcobe. We are going to interrogate Rahzden. Come along please. We are pressed for time." Lyukhe replied.

Jahcobe dutifully nodded and fell in line with the rest of us. We then headed out the main doors and to the readied SUV’s waiting.

"Lyukhe, Bennhayzin, Ferdinand, and Meyhymn will ride with me. The rest of you take the second vehicle." Zachariah said.

We all followed suit and climbed into our designated vehicles. Once inside, Zachariah let out a weary sigh. He no doubt had a slew of unanswered questions rumbling through his mind.

The vehicles took off and an awkward silence fell over the car. I couldn’t help glancing at Meyhymn every now and then. I had caught him checking his phone periodically throughout the meeting. His temperament was rapidly deteriorating.

"So I will lead the questioning. Lyukhe, if you suspect any falsehoods I want you to immediately find out the truth, to the best of your abilities." Zachariah said.

"Yes, Sir. This will go nowhere fast as long as he is being untruthful and an ass..." Lyukhe sighed.

"How long will it take to gather your men?" I asked.

I wanted to leave as soon as possible after getting what we needed. The sun was already setting, and I had no way of knowing what they would do to the captured Omegas. No matter how you looked at it, it was anything but good.

"My men can assemble at the drop of a hat. You need not worry about that. We will rescue the captured Omegas, even if we have to destroy the facility completely." Zachariah replied.

"I agree." Meyhymn said, his eyes burning furiously.

We pulled up at Zachariah’s estate, and climbed out of our respective vehicles. Once we were grouped up again, Zachariah lead the way to a sequestered room on the third floor. There were 4 men standing guard outside the room. Zachariah looked at the men, and they all straightened their backs.

"Open it." He commanded.

They swiftly complied and opened the door. Inside, Rahzden was chained and handcuffed to a chair in the center of the otherwise empty room. While his men were chained up and handcuffed to the wall further away.

"Ah, if it isn’t The Monarch himself. Come to shove your favoritism further down my throat?" Rahzden said, with a glare.

"You will behave yourself, and maybe I’ll consider sparing your life." Zachariah said, angrily.

"Hmph... I guess we’ll see, now won’t we?" Rahzden replied, with a sardonic grin.

"I want your credentials for your facility in Lore’rahlye." Zachariah said, getting straight to the point.

"Oho? I guess Danhiel was successful after all, huh? Seeing as your pet isn’t here with you Ferdinand, dare I say you’ve lost the Golden Goose...?" Rahzden chuckled.

"Wrong. I would never allow that to happen." I replied calmly.

I couldn’t afford to lose my cool here. It would only waste the time I had to save the others. Jahcobe sat down in a corner of the room and opened the laptop.

"Rahzden, your credentials." Zachariah said, exasperated.

"What will you do when you have them? I must admit you have my curiosity well and truly peaked." Rahzden replied.

"I’ll see to it that your facility crumbles to dust more spectacularly than Delgaide." Zachariah said, with a chuckle.

This declaration knocked the smug grin right off of Rahzden’s face. He looked up at Zachariah in disbelief.

"You would intentionally cripple my Duhtchy, Zachariah?" I asked, taken aback.

"You brought this upon yourself, Rahzden. You assumed that there was a being more superior than your Monarch, and you allowed them to use you as a pawn in their sick game. You have no one to blame but yourself." Zachariah replied.

"How can you say that when all I did was listen to the demands of my people, and do what was best for my Duhtchy!?" Rahzden yelled, angrily.

If taken at face value, one could argue that he had done just as he said. However, we all knew the underlying truth. He had no doubt been promised whatever he wanted, just as Danhiel had said in his broadcast.

"I will not ask you again, Rahzden." Zachariah said, sternly.

"This breaks the oath that we swore upon! How could I ever willingly give you that information?!" He replied.

"Then your life is forfeit, and your Duhtchy will fall regardless." Zachariah shrugged.

"Fine! Whatever! I’ll have you compensate me for my losses!" Rahzden cried.

"I’m ready when you are..." Jahcobe said, from his seat on the floor.

"Ugh... Username: RahzdenKing1 Password: ....OmegaSlaves8..." Rahzden mumbled.

"Detestable to your core..." Bennhayzin sighed.

"Fuck you, Benn! You’re a piece of scum too, y’know!?" Rahzden sneered.

"That could never be me... Everyone knows that you spend your days wrapped up between the legs of unwilling Omegas. You’re a deplorable piece of filth, and if I had my say, you’d be nothing more than a forgotten memory and a cautionary tale." Bennhayzin retorted, smugly.

"Did you know that Danhiel is facing a disinheritance because he has no children, nor a mate?" Lyukhe asked.

"What the hell are you talking about? Why would that cause him to lose his inheritance?" Rahzden asked, confused.

"It was a stipulation quoted in his father’s will. He can only recieve his inheritance if he is mated, or has sired a child." Lyukhe replied, nonchalantly.

Rahzden stared at him in disbelief. I was also surprised to learn why Danhiel had become so brazen in his assault. He must have become desperate after his father passed, and his will was announced.

"Are there any other exits in the Lore’rahlye facility, other than the main doors?" Meyhymn asked, finally breaking his silence.

"What’s it to you, you giant bastard?!" Rahzden asked, angrily.

Meyhymn’s patience finally snapped. His pheromones flooded the room at an alarming rate, and his eyes began to glow fiercely. He angrily walked up to Rahzden and seized him by the throat.

"I asked you a question. Make no mistake, I do not care whether you live or die, and I will burn that facility to ashes no matter what. I am only asking you now, so I know whether or not any of the detestable bastards inside have a means to escape before the facility burns to the ground!" Meyhymn growled with every word.

Rahzden’s face began to turn shades of red and purple, as he struggled in Meyhymn’s grip, trying to breathe. Meyhymn let him go abruptly, and glared down at Rahzden, who was currently coughing and wheezing trying to breath properly again.

"You’ll answer my question now, or next time I snap your neck." Meyhymn said, raising Rahzden’s head up by his chin.

"Huff... Huff... Ugh... Gigantic... B-Bastard... Hngh... T-There are two other exits... One is located... in H-Hastings’ office.... T-The other... in mine..." Rahzden wheezed.

This news came as a shock to all of us. We were led to believe that there was only one way in or out, due to its strategic placement inside of a mountain... But if what Rahzden said was true, then there was a chance that the main people we were after could escape effortlessly.

"Where do the exits come out at?" Zachariah asked.

Rahzden looked up at us all with a angry glare. I had no sympathy for the man, he had done nothing but disrespect Tristan the entire meeting. And if I was being honest, I hadn’t really interacted with him outside of meetings, so I knew next to nothing about his life or circumstances. None of that mattered however, because anyone who was hostile towards Tristan needed to be dealt with, swiftly.

"The far end of the mountain, to the left." He groaned.

"Who all knows about the other exits?" I asked, curious.

"Haaah... Hastings... Danhiel... Chastaine... and me..." He replied, breathlessly.

"Hmm... All the key players, I see..." Lyukhe said.

"What did you have to gain from assisting Danhiel?" Zachariah asked.

He seemed to be a bit grief-stricken at the way the events were shaking out. I wondered what he was thinking as he looked for ways to understand Rahzden’s actions.

"I never planned to assist him with shit. I was content staying out of it completely, until Ferdinand ignorantly brought that monster of an Omega to the meeting!" He replied, glaring at me.

"What do you mean?" Zachariah asked.

"How could you bring someone like him to a meeting full of Dominant Alphas? What made you think it was okay to put everyone at risk like that?! There’s no way you don’t know anything about his constitution or his genome. So why then, would you allow that decision to be made!?" Rahzden asked.

"I am fully capable of protecting my mate. Why would I allow him to stay behind, and risk an attack on my home?" I asked, perplexed.

"Do you have any idea what it’s like to not have control over your body? To have your senses twisted into something different? To have an intense craving for something you don’t actually want?" He asked.

"Yes I do. However, you seem to be unaware that that is exactly what Tristan goes through everyday. It’s also what the Omegas in your facility go through everyday. How can you sit there and act like you are the only one who can be hurt and offended by such a thing?" I asked, genuinely perplexed.

"Omegas are only good for one thing! It’s completely different! The Omegas at my facility seduce any and every Alpha that they can get their hands on. They beg to be fucked daily! Don’t sit there and act like it’s the same thing!" He yelled back.

"The Omegas in your facility are created to secrete pheromones that lure in Alphas, and force them to take the Omegas forcefully. Whether they want it or not! It was your scientists who created them that way. They went out of their way to create Omegas that couldn’t properly survive in the world without having sex on a daily basis. They are born without a will of their own, and forced to become a slave to their own bodies, forever. Men who live in glass houses, should never throw stones." Meyhymn said, more pissed off than before.

"And what would you know?" Rahzden asked.

"I know well enough, about the kind of sick and depraved behavior that takes place in your facility. If you were a real Mafia King that actually cared about your people, you would have stepped in and done something about it. But you don’t see Omegas as people, so how could you ever call yourself a fair and competent ruler?" Meyhymn sneered.

"Wait... they can’t survive without sex?" Bennhayzin asked, finally catching up to the conversation.

"If they go without sex for more than 24 hours, their bodies will begin to secrete pheromones that increase over time. Calling out to any and all Alphas to satisfy them. If their pheromones become strong enough, it sends the Alphas into a frenzied rut. You can bet they tested the full extent of their research, and noted it all down meticulously." Meyhymn replied, practically seething.

"I didn’t think it was possible to hate you more than I already do, but congratulations. You have surpassed scum of the earth and entered the Deplorable Demon Hell-spawn phase..." Bennhayzin sighed.

"The real problem is how can we relocate the Omegas within the facility? They cannot be left alone, like those in Delgaide..." Lyukhe said, causing all of us to abruptly freeze in realization.

’Haaah...This situation has just gone from bad, to worse...’
