Chapter 66: Chapter - 66 The Summons
Zachariah’s Point Of View
5 Days Prior To The Letters
"Listen, Zachariah. I don’t presume to tell you how to run your Mafia Kings." Danhiel said.
"Good, because that would be ridiculously foolish on your part." I retorted.
"But C’mon, cut me some slack. My metaphorical front door has been kicked in, twice! What would you do?" He demanded.
"Be grateful I survived both encounters to complain about it?" I replied.
"TAKE THIS SERIOUSLY!" He yelled, his face was turning red from embarrassment.
"Look Danhiel, out of respect for your father I’m going to let that outburst slide, but understand that there will be no next time. I assure you, I am taking this seriously. But, don’t you understand?" I asked with a glare.
He was acting like a child, and not seeing the full picture for what it was. Ferdinand was hands down, one of my most physically capable Alphas. Taking him on was akin to suicide. I was the strongest Alpha without question, but even I would never take him head on.
"The hell are you talking about Zachariah? What is there to understand except that my property has been stolen, and I want it back!?" The man all but growled.
I could do nothing but roll my eyes. Weak men always demanded help from others. The problem with weak men, was that they were also categorized as small men. Infinitesimal on the scale of life, and they were always loud.
"How has this not sunk in for you yet? 5 Alphas broke into your facility and killed over 177 other Alphas... Just 5. And now, you what? Want me to incur their wrath because your feelings are hurt? Isn’t the boy mated to 4 or 5 Alphas already? What is it that you think I should say?"
"Return what’s mine! I have ways to deal with him being mated, I’m not concerned. You’re forgetting that that Omega was factory made. Due to the splicing of their DNA, mating is not a permanent solution. It’s the drawbacks of not having been born naturally. So let me say this, if you will not do anything, I will..." He said with a glare.
"Are you seriously threatening me? What the hell could you possibly do to them?" I asked, standing up.
It was foolish to bring such petty bullshit to my door. My Mafia Kings were allowed to do whatever they wanted, within reason. We only had 5 rules. Other than that, they were welcome to live whatever lifestyle they deemed necessary. I couldn’t tell Ferdinand to hand the boy over, anymore than Danhiel could. So I was curious to know how loud he would bark this time, to get what he wanted.
"Take it how you feel Zachariah, but I’m declaring war on those Alphas. And I’m giving out prizes. ’If the mayor or Mafia King in charge of any Duhtchy, can produce an infallible Omega genome, OR capture the Runaway Omega known as Tristan, who is currently sporting said DNA, the reward given would be any and everything you request.’ If you care for your Alphas like you say, then you’ll find a peaceful solution before the war begins!" He said on a huff, before storming out.
"Sir? Can I kill him?" Mirren asked, hand on his gun.
"Haaah... as much joy as that would bring me, I cannot personally or indirectly kill that man. His father is a respectable man, all things considered..." I sighed, sitting back down.
Once Danhiel’s statement went viral, there would be no way to stop the chaos that would no doubt ensue. I wasn’t even particularly sure that the other Mafia Kings would take the bait. However, I knew I would need to lay all the information on the table before bullets started to fly.
"Mirren... I need you to send out letters to all the Mafia Kings of Delgahtowe. Please grab a pen and paper." I said, glancing to my right.
"Yes sir, understood." He replied.
"Meet me in the study when you’re ready. Killien, let’s head there now." I said, heading for the door.
"Yes. Understood sir." Killien replied dutifully, as he followed closely behind.
"Would you do it, Killien?" I asked out of curiosity.
"Do what, sir?" He asked, confused.
"Would you take on Ferdinand, and 4 others for one Omega?" I replied.
"No sir. Absolutely the fuck not. I would consider it my greatest loss, if I were to lose something so valuable to him. Then, lament for the rest of my days in despair. Never in my lifetime would I ever attempt to go to war with Ferdinand." He replied, opening the door to my study.
I couldn’t help but laugh at his reply. That he said so much at all was impressive, but what he said held so much honesty behind it, that it made me laugh just imagining it.
"Yes... I agree. Unfortunately, we have many Mafia Kings who don’t believe the stories about Ferdinand, and who would no doubt test their luck. That must be prevented at all cost." I replied.
"Sir, I have what you requested." Mirren said, finally entering my study.
"Good have a seat here, and write what I tell you. You will then copy that onto multiple pages, Killien you will place them into envelopes, and I will seal them. Understood?" I said.
"Yes, Sir." They replied in unison.
"Good then, let’s get to work." I said.
I was sending out a letter to every Mafia King. It was a summons that could not be refused. The letter would state the following:
’Mafia Kings & Queen,
This is an official summons that you cannot refuse. Doing so would see your title revoked and your life forfeit. You are to arrive in Demhongade by Saturday, October 19th no later than 1pm. You are allowed to bring up to two guards as your security detail. Violators will be shot on sight. As you know Demhongade is neutral territory, there will be no fighting amongst yourselves here. Violators will be stripped of their titles and killed on site. Remember the 5 rules. Violations will NOT be tolerated.
Your Grand Monarch, Zachariah.’
"Before you begin copying that, I want you to pen one more, okay?" I asked.
"Yes, Sir." He replied.
"Make sure that he gets both of these letters, okay?" I added.
"Understood, Sir. Please proceed." Mirren replied.
’Dear Ferdinand,
I know the summons has you second guessing everything. I would too. You are more than welcome to bring your mate as a plus one. I will do all that I can to help you protect them if necessary. Though you have always been a formidable and quite capable Alpha so I can’t imagine I’d be very helpful, but the offer still stands. I wish I could say the meeting isn’t necessary, however it will determine you and your mate’s future so not attending is no longer an option for you. I have the utmost respect for you my friend. So I would like to give you the chance to say your peace to anyone foolishly considering taking you on. I wish you all the best old friend. May we see each other again soon.
Your Grand Monarch, Zachariah.’
I began melting the wax for my seal, and taking said seal stamp out of my drawer. Mirren was diligently copying, while Killien was writing out the addresses on the envelopes.
’Haaah... Heavy is the head that wears the crown, indeed...’

Ferdinand’s Point Of View
Meahlene was doting on Tristan so much, and you could tell he was loving every bit of it. They had grilled him relentlessly about the facility and his life there, but after they got all their answers they began to smother him with familiar affection.
We were currently on the porch, because we learned that Tristan’s pheromones affected the female Alphas a bit stronger than male Alphas. Open air was the better option any way. Bellamy, Sylvester, and Cole were almost at their wits end with sharing their mate. It was just comical for me.
Tristan had been fatigued and in pain most of the time these past 5 days, but now he was currently laughing and smiling as if it were the most natural thing in the world. It in turn, made me exceptionally happy too.
All of the kids were also in the front yard. Meahlene, Nahana, and Odehssa couldn’t go a full hour without picking up one of the kids, or buying them whatever they asked for. I had pooled all the men together to do guard duty in the front yard. I left 8 men to watch over both guard towers, the rest circled the front yard protecting the kids from men and nature alike.
Suddenly, I watched as a black four wheeler careened down the drive at an alarming pace.
"Tysse, intercept that message, he’s going too fast with children outside." I said standing up.
Tysse complied and met him a little distance from the kids. The rider handed over two envelopes and turned around to head back to the towers, no doubt. Tysse on the other hand ran up to me as fast as he could and handed me both letters. They each had the stamp of the Monarch on them and my blood ran cold.
’Nothing good can come from opening these letters...’
