Chapter 59: Chapter - 59 I Don’t Believe You

Sylvester’s Point Of View

"Yeah that’s enough touching him... I find you ridiculously suspicious." Bellamy said.

He had narrowly avoided punishment from Tristan, now he was puffing out his chest with bravado trying to appear threatening. A shameless heel turn if I ever saw one. But I couldn’t deny how suspicious this Omega seemed.

"Why should we believe you?" I asked.

"Do you remember what I said about that agent who raided your casino?" He asked me.

"Not my casino but yeah, you said she was a bitch or something...?" I replied.

"That’s his younger sister..." He retorted.

All I could do was stare at him. He didn’t seem to be lying. And if he wasn’t, then things were starting to add up. The random ATF drop, the pop up at the amusement park, the tail on Santiago, the loitering government agents around our homes, and the stagnation of protesters in the city. They were indeed slowly closing in on us like a viper ready to strike.

Ferdinand seemed to snap, as the information began to coalesce in his mind. He stood up and seized Ezekihel by the throat. Nobody moved, Ferdinand’s eyes were like golden fires threatening to consume everyone.

"Let... Go... Asshole!" Ezekihel wheezed, dangling in Ferdinand’s grasp.

"So what exactly is your job right now? Do you want to go back to the facility that treated you like a piece of meat?" Ferdinand sneered.

"I... Can’t... Breathe... Dumbass!" He wheezed, kicking at Ferdinand’s chest.

"Answer me!" Ferdinand asserted, putting him back on the ground but not releasing his neck.

"If I had a choice I wouldn’t fucking be here! I’m just as dead as the rest of you now!" He yelled.

"If memory serves me correctly, you should be dead already. You are only alive because Meyhymn thought differently. Should I just go ahead and end your worthless life already?" Ferdinand asked.

"Who cares!? No one would blink if I died. What does it matter? I just thought you idiots should know what’s coming, because I’m sure as hell not sticking around long enough for them to find me. You have no idea what they’ll do to me. I’d rather die!" Ezekihel said, fury and defiance burning in his eyes.

"Fine. Death it is. You seem to hold a senseless grudge against my mate and that cannot be allowed." Ferdinand all but growled.

He immediately began to apply pressure to the Omega’s neck. Ezekihel’s face turned red in an instant.

"Ferdinand...?" Meyhymn said, looking well and truly panicked.

He looked around the room but nobody said a word. That is until one small voice cut threw the silence like a blade.

"Ferdinand... don’t kill him. It’s not his fault."

It was Tristan. Ferdinand immediately released the Omega and pointed his death glare at Tristan. Tristan didn’t even flinch, instead he gave Ferdinand a bright smile and a kiss.

"Different people view their circumstances differently. He thinks I had an easy life, I think his life was easy if he believes whoring himself is a comfortable lifestyle. I could not think that way watching the light fade from my mother’s eyes. It doesn’t mean his thinking is wrong. He’s just different. Before meeting you guys, I’d welcomed death before I’d welcome life in the facility. We are just different. We can’t kill him for that. The only one who can make that call is Meyhymn. He obviously cares about this boy, right Meyhymn?" He asked quizzically.

"Uhm... yes. I don’t think he should die. And I don’t mind taking care of him." Meyhymn replied, sheepishly.

"Then it’s settled. Welcome to your new cushy life, Ezekihel!" Tristan said, with a bright smile.

"Five minutes ago you slapped me, now it’s ’Welcome to the family’?" Ezekihel asked confused.

"Well it’s not Welcome to the family. Just accept your new life. It’s better than what it would be, and it’s better than death. Meyhymn’s not a bad guy, he’s a gentle giant... kinda... Also you will continue to get slapped everytime you are rude or disrespectful. A dog learns by the hand, after all." Tristan shrugged.

"I’m not a dog..." Ezekihel mumbled.

"No...? You sure? You seem to bark an awful lot. You have no faith in my Alphas and that will be your undoing. You’ll find that my Alphas are quite capable men." Tristan said, with a big shit eating grin.

Ferdinand folded immediately, he scooped Tristan up away from the other Omega and gave him a kiss. Then he looked at Meyhymn with a half-hearted smile.

"I don’t envy you brother. I’ll try not to impulsively kill him." Ferdinand said, taking Tristan and plopping down on the bed.

"One more question, Ezekihel." Tristan said, snuggling up to Ferdinand’s chest.

"What do you want now? You really make me sick with how lackadaisical you are about all of this..." Ezekihel grumbled.

"Hm? How should I act? I have faith in my Alphas. You should put your faith in Meyhymn. He’s pretty capable too, but you already know that, right?" Tristan asked.

"Ugh... Whatever... Ask your stupid question..."

"You seem to be hiding something. There’s something you’re not telling us, something that has you scared. What is it? I will not allow you to live under this roof with secrets. You can sleep chained up outside like an animal if you want to be that stubborn." Tristan said pointedly.

"What are you talking about? You’d make me sleep outside? With a constitution like mine?!" Ezekihel asked, incredulous.

"I don’t know about your constitution, but if you want to keep your secrets, then you can keep them outside the house." Tristan replied, annoyed.

He was being insanely moody today, and honestly... I was here for it, because he was ridiculously adorable. I found it odd that he never seemed to annoy me. Everything he did was simply adorable. Mad, sad, horny, helpless, he was always adorable. As I was contemplating how to lavish him with more love, the annoying Omega said something that rendered the room speechless.

"If Zeta Kai gets you first, they will take sample after sample of your DNA. Since you are mated, they will need to take the sample after your mating marks have disappeared..."

"Well they could never hope to kill my mates so I’m not too worried..." Tristan shrugged.

"No. You’re not understanding what I’m saying... They have a way to nullify your mating marks. They would fade in two weeks time. It was designed when too many Alphas would be forced into a mindless rut due to our pheromones... they needed a way to keep us on the market... so the reverse mating was created... it’s a hellish nightmare I wouldn’t wish on anybody... many Omegas began buying collars with their money to avoid such a fate..." Ezekihel said, looking terrified.

"That’s not possible..." Cole said, completely taken aback.

"Why would that be something that only one facility has? Why not bring that to the world? Painful or not, people would do it if it benefited them." Bellamy added.

"Meyhymn, you think you could look into it for us? We won’t know for sure without confirmation..." Ferdinand said.

"Yeah. Of course. Thanks to Sylvester and Santiago it should be a piece of cake, more or less." Meyhymn replied.

*BZZZ... BZZZ... BZZZ... BZZZ*

"I’ll be right back..." Bellamy said, looking down at his phone and running out the room.

"Okay... I’m tired now... you may leave..." Tristan said, yawning.

"That’s it? No plan of attack? No bolstering your defenses?" Ezekihel asked, looking extremely confused.

"Even if there was a plan, why would we tell you? You’re not even sure you want to be here yet... Figure out what you want in life and start there. Worry about yourself first..." Tristan said glaring.

Tristan was definitely hitting his limit of human interaction. On top of that, his pheromones seemed to be getting stronger, and not by choice. Ferdinand noticed this as well, and tensed up in an instant.

"Meyhymn..."

"You got it brother... I’ll look into it–"

"Without the Omega around... Can’t have him compromising your thought process, or dividing your attention." Ferdinand ordered, with a stern look.

"Right... okay..." Meyhymn agreed, solemnly.

"Now leave... I’d hate to have to kill my best friend because he inhaled my mate’s pheromones for too long." Ferdinand chuckled.

The hard glint in his eyes made it hard to tell if he was joking or not. Nevertheless, Meyhymn beat feet all the same, dragging the confused Omega with him. I didn’t agree with letting him live, truth be told he seemed too secretive for my tastes. Everything in me screamed to kill him and be done with it.

"Why did you allow him to live Tristan?" I finally asked.

"Do you know what the facility did to me when I first ran away?" He asked, not opening his eyes.

"No. I don’t, sorry." I replied.

It was a bit unreasonable to think that I would know, but saying that out loud seemed too insensitive.

"They sold off one of my best friends, whipped my feet with wooden switches until I couldn’t stand on them, and then I serviced the director for a full 24 hours... that was done in a facility that he deemed a paradise... so then imagine what the punishment would be like in a place like Zeta Kai. Even if he were to give them all the information he could about us, do you think they would reward him fairly?" Tristan asked clutching Ferdinand’s shirt firmly.

He was trembling, and his teeth were beginning to chatter. I sat down on the bed beside him and Ferdinand, and stroked his hair to comfort him. Cole came to sit on the other side of us, rubbing Tristan’s feet.

"You were really holding back weren’t you? How long have you been fighting this?" I asked checking his temperature.

"Since the beginning..." Tristan murmured.

"I didn’t even notice... how did you suppress your emotions so well...?" Ferdinand asked.

"I didn’t... I was just more pissed off than scared or horny... That man... he came with Mr. Wyhett once... since I always believed Wyhett was our benefactor I never gave him much thought... but Danhiel... he... he hurt Luhnah really bad... she said he took extreme pleasure in it... I was always scared he’d come back and show interest in me, but he never did... now I know why...." He groaned, tears falling softly.

"What do you mean? Why didn’t he?" I asked, confused.

"He was already promised a full week with me... whether I got pregnant or not... I would still need to service him for a week... And when I did get pregnant by him, and the lab confirmed it... I would have to spend an entire year with him..."

No one knew what to say. It was all bad news, and from what he described and what Ezekihel said about the man’s sister, it wasn’t a stretch to say they had similar tastes in regards to BDSM. They were both just a bit too extreme about it.

"Haaah... bad news guys..." Bellamy said walking in.

He looked sick to his stomach, and whenever he wore that expression... it meant one thing and one thing only...
