Chapter 39: Chapter - 39 The Hellish Sunday Never Ends
Tristan’s Point Of View
Ferdinand carried me to the theater and the twins and kids were already there. Aunt Josephine opted to stay in her room today, she was feeling a bit under the weather.
Delcain sat beside me with Cole to my left. Nobody protested Cole sitting next to me, and I was beginning to suspect they were showing him sympathy since he otherwise couldn’t do much else.
Ferdinand, Sylvester, and Bellamy sat behind us and Jasper sat with the twins. Sable, Arrisa, and Joobehlee sat together on one sofa, while Kaleb sat on a sofa at the end of the row, next to the girls in a bassinet. It seemed that our little family was growing bit by bit, and it actually felt like a movie theater now.
"Anyone want some popcorn?" A newcomer asked, as he walked through the door.
I tensed up, worried because I had never seen him before. Cole was the first to notice and placed a hand on my arm.
"That’s Rohan. He’s been helping Jasper and the twins look after the kids." He said.
"I do! Carmel please!" Arrisa exclaimed.
"I’ll have sweet and salty." Sable said.
"I’ll eat Sable’s." Raihne teased.
"I’ll help you." Ferdinand said.
"Hey Ferdinand... can I uhm... have a drink?" I whispered shyly.
"Yeah. What do you want to drink?" He smirked.
"Mm... something strong?" I asked softly.
"Sure. Coming right– wait, w-what?" He stammered.
Cole, Delcain, Sylvester, and Bellamy looked at me in shock. While Ferdinand gave me a searching look.
"Seriously...?" He whispered.
"Y-Yes... please? You told me to voice what I wanted... and that’s what I want, and also Carmel popcorn." I said with a big smile.
If I couldn’t get it on my own then they would have to do it for me. I was getting a drink no matter what, and I’d make them all my accomplices.
"I’ll get the drink, Ferdinand you get the popcorn." Sylvester said with a smirk.
"Oh, are you going to make the blue one again?" I asked perking up at his sudden helpfulness.
"Nope. Gonna make you a different one." He winked, then headed for the bar.
Ferdinand was wearing a conflicted expression before he went to get the popcorn. Delcain was watching the whole scenario in concerned worry.
"Del... I missed you. It feels like I never get to see you much anymore." I said laying my head on his shoulder.
"We just hung out at the amusement park, silly. But you’re right, I miss sharing a room with you. But uhm... Tristan... You’re drinking now?" Delcain asked.
"My whole body hurts Del... it’s driving me crazy..." I whispered.
"Hmm... You’re burning up too... you feeling okay?"
"That’s not a fever Del... it’s a want, it will get worse before the day is over... my body is rejecting the suppressants now..." I said.
This revelation made Del’s eyes widen. Who could blame him? Everyone knew how hard Bellamy had prepared for the mating cycle, and my body was basically laughing at him with its middle finger raised.
"That’s not even the worst part Del..." I said scooting closer to him.
"How could it get any worse than that?!"
"It can’t just be one or two of them anymore... it has to be all of them... or the fever and aches don’t go away, they just get stronger..." I looked up at him almost in tears.
Truthfully, that was the biggest F U my body had said, so far. It was almost laughable if it wasn’t so damn annoying. Everything I wanted to avoid, was happening without my approval. On top of that, there were spotty lapses in my memory last night. I couldn’t remember much after the initial agreement and the order they chose. But the sore achy feeling in my body were unmistakable the next day.
It was like I mentally switched places with another person last night, and I was too embarrassed to ask questions. So the only thing I could think to do was drink. Not enough to get belligerent, but enough to not feel my body. Especially if I would have to repeat that process again tonight.
Ferdinand and Rohan passed out the popcorn, while Sylvester returned with my drink. The cup was more of a bucket with a straw, than a cup. The color of the liquid inside looked unappealing as hell. I looked up at Sylvester in apprehension.
"What is this? It looks yucky..." I said pouting.
"It’s called A Zombie. Drink it, you’ll like it." He said smiling.
Without another option, I took a sip and immediately widened my eyes. It was strong as hell, but also tasted like fruit punch.
’I could get addicted to this drink!’
"You should only need one. It should take the edge off and numb the achy soreness you’re feeling." Sylvester said, with a knowing smile.
I sunk into the couch, embarrassed. He had figured it out so fast, I felt stupid trying to hide it at all.
"Thanks Syl... You make the best drinks..." I murmured, taking a bigger sip of the drink than before.
Payhne started the movie, per Sable’s request it was a horror movie. I curled up towards the back of the sofa with my drink on my stomach. I was not a fan of horror movies or jump scares so I quietly ate my popcorn and sipped my drink.
Halfway into the drink, just as Sylvester said I didn’t feel anything. I was just warm and fuzzy all over. Cole and Delcain finished off my popcorn and I laid my head on the sofa.
The movie ended just as my drink did and I couldn’t be happier. Sable’s movie choices were always terrifying.
"Let’s watch another scary movie!" Sable said.
"No Sable. Your movie choices are terrible. Let’s let someone else choose." Arrisa retorted.
"They aren’t terrible you just lack an eye for the arts, hmph!" Sable quipped.
"Yeah, yeah. There’s too many people here, let someone else choose. Like Joobehlee, what do you want to watch?" Arrisa countered.
"Pwincess movies!" Joobehlee said.
"I agree. We need something bright and beautiful to wash away the doom and gloom. Big Brother Tristan will never be able to sleep tonight if we don’t." Arrisa laughed.
"Ah, well... actually... he didn’t watch a single bit of it. It was too much for him." Delcain chuckled.
"Seriously, Tristan!?" Sable turned around to yell at me.
"It was too scary Sable. We really need to talk about your movie choices. It feels like they’re getting worse." I said.
"Payhne, a princess movie if you would. We need to cleanse our pallets." Arrisa said like a prim and proper princess.
"Raihne, you liked it right?" Sable asked turning, and then gasped.
"Yeah sorry, he passed out after 20 minutes in. But don’t blame him, blame his pain meds." Payhne sighed.
"The next movie will need to wait. Lunch is ready in the second kitchen for all of you." Kristi said from the doorway.
"Well then, to be continued kids. Nobody tells mama Kristi no, not even me." Ferdinand said, standing up.
Everyone around me stood up, but I didn’t even chance it this time. I looked up at Sylvester and Ferdinand with pleading eyes.
"Haha! I’ll carry you. It’s my fault anyway, right?" Sylvester said chuckling.
I nodded my head and he immediately scooped me up into his arms. I put my face in his neck and breathed deep. Truth be told, I wasn’t hungry for food at all. I wasn’t sure what was for lunch, but I was sure I couldn’t eat it.
"What...? What’s with that hopeless look... in... your... damn it..." Sylvester trailed off, no doubt feeling my internal struggles.
"Do you think you can eat a little bit Tristan? Just like a bite or two?" Bellamy asked.
"I’ll try..." I groaned.
We entered the dining room connected to the second kitchen, and lucky for me it was light finger foods and fruit mostly. There were quesadillas, chicken nuggets, wings, fries, fruit, yogurt, and a vegetable platter.
Instead of putting me in my own chair, Sylvester sat down with me in his lap. Cole sat to my left and Ferdinand to my right.
"What do you want to eat, love?" Sylvester asked.
"Some fruit. And a little slice of a cheese quesadilla, please." I replied.
"As you wish." He said.
He placed a small plate in front of me with one triangle of quesadilla on it and a bowl of melon fruits. I ate a piece of cantaloupe and while it was good, my body didn’t want to swallow. It was becoming a nerve-wracking experience.
I ate two pieces of fruit and a bite of the quesadila, before giving up. I turned over in Sylvester’s lap and laid against his chest. My body was starting to tremble and I wanted to cry...

Sylvester’s Point Of View
I looked down at Tristan, and my heart ached. It was maddening to feel his body’s persistent call and know that he was fighting it to the best of his ability.
I looked over at the others and they were wearing similar pained expressions on their faces. Nobody knew a better solution to the problem at hand, and Tristan’s mind seemed to snap last night right in the heat of things.
Nobody wanted to tell him what happened and he seemed to not remember, so we just didn’t talk about it. Just like yesterday he wasn’t able to eat much later in the day. We were becoming increasingly worried about his eating habits because of it. What he was hungry for was not food, and if we gave in too soon he wouldn’t last the night.
"Tristan, aren’t you going to eat more?" Delcain asked.
"No..." Tristan murmured.
"But you barely ate anything at all big brother...?" Arrisa said.
"I’ll be fine... you guys just eat your fill." He groaned.
"Are you going to be okay brother?" Sable asked.
"Yeah... I’m just tired, that’s all..."
"You’re lying... you couldn’t even look at me and say that. What’s wron–" Sable’s words were cut short when he looked in her direction.
Tristan’s eyes were glowing fiercely, but it was the tears streaming down his face that made everyone gasp. Even the twins wore pained expressions.
"Aren’t you guys his mates? Shouldn’t you be doing something?" Kaleb said angrily.
Tristan just turned back over into my chest and gripped my shirt, his trembling was getting worse.
"There is nothing we can do about his body’s constitution. We basical– Ngh!" My words were cut short.
"Crap!" Ferdinand exclaimed.
"Well I guess that answered that question..." Bellamy said standing up.
I stood up too. Tristan’s pheromones had exploded out of nowhere, and Jasper, Rohan, and the twins were having a hard time breathing. Their eyes flickered as they gripped their skulls.
"What the hell is this?" Rohan groaned.
"Seriously, I feel like I’m losing my mind." Jasper added.
"You guys eat and watch the princess movies without us. We probably won’t be back for dinner." Bellamy said.
"Sylvester... I’m... going to... throw up..." Tristan murmured looking up at me helplessly.
"Okay, we’re going now. I’m sorry." I replied.
I walked out of the room quickly and down the stairs. We had to stop at the kids bathroom for Tristan to throw up, he didn’t quite make it to Ferdinand’s room.
Tristan rinsed his mouth out and slumped to the floor, silently sobbing the whole time. Then he turned to look at me and just held up his arms like a toddler begging to be picked up. He was ridiculously adorable but it was all so heartbreaking at the same time.
I picked him up and he straddled my waist. He held on tightly to my neck, and took deep measured breaths into it.
"I need a bath..." He mumbled.
"Ferdinand is making you one right now, love." I replied.
"Will you guys join me too?" He asked.
"Do you want us to?" I chuckled.
I knew what his answer would be, but he always got so embarrassed asking for intimate things. Feeling his embarrassment and witnessing it rise on his face was always amusing.
Instead of answering, Tristan just nodded his head as his pheromones flared harder. I released my pheromones as well so he could calm down, and he instantly went slack in my arms. I would have been concerned, if he hadn’t started licking my neck at the same time.
’Haaah... think pure thoughts Syl... pure thoughts....’
We reached Ferdinand’s bathroom, where everyone was already waiting. Their pheromones were permeating the room and it was honestly starting to feel like a sauna with incense burning, than a bathroom.
Tristan relaxed even more and his body stopped trembling entirely. He looked up at me and his eyes were like neon glow sticks in the dark. It felt like he could see into my soul with those things and it was honestly a bit unnerving.
"Can you help me get undressed...?" Tristan asked.
I gave a dutiful nod and undressed him quickly, then I put him directly in the tub. He sighed satisfactorily and laid his head on the rim of the tub.
"Please join me... you can all fit right?" Tristan murmured.
"We can, but I’m going to just have to opt for my feet. My stitches can come out tomorrow as long as I’m careful so I’ll play it safe." Cole said.
"Mmm... then you can be my pillow right?" Tristan asked while patting the spot next to his head.
Cole swallowed dryly and nodded. Then stripped to his boxers and sat next to Tristan. Then we all stripped, and also climbed into the tub. I was just hoping for a peaceful end to this never ending hellish Sunday...
