Chapter 156: Chapter - 156 The Angry Needy Prince

Tristan’s Point Of View

"So, how’d it go?" Sylvester asked, as he picked me up again.

I wrapped my legs around his waist, and placed my head on his shoulder. My heart still hadn’t stopped racing. I had been seriously worried about Kaleb.

"It’s fine, I guess. Gaibe didn’t seem like the type of guy to abuse Kaleb... He did seem extremely terrified though, so maybe I’ll use that to my advantage." I said, feeling Sylvester shudder while in his arms.

"I can’t believe it was Gaibe. Do you know how hard I had to hide my shock?!" Sylvester said.

I too, couldn’t belive it. Out of all the people I imagined, he was not it. I was slightly relieved, but at the same time, extremely worried. Kaleb hated to be weak, and he hated to have to depend on others, so I knew he would brush off the issue at hand.

I just hoped that Gaibe didn’t get distracted, and miss the telling signs.

I hugged Sylvester closer, and breathed him in. I felt more exhausted now, than when I woke up.

"What are you going to do about the idiots? Are we going there now?" He asked.

"No. I’m too exhausted to deal with them right now. Let their fear fester. I need my walking air purifier..." I sighed, as he carried me back upstairs.

"Your what? Oh, you mean Cole?" Sylvester chuckled.

"Yes... I would like to go see him now..."

"You getting rid of me already?" Sylvester asked with a pout.

"No. You stay too. Don’t leave me, you jerk."

"Haha... My Prince is so needy today..." Sylvester chuckled.

I had no rebuttal to that. I was certainly feeling that way for some reason.

We made our way to Cole’s room, and Sylvester knocked on the door.

"Yeah...?" Cole said from somewhere inside the room.

Without giving him time to come to the door, Sylvester flung it open with dramatic flare.

"Dear breath of fresh air. Our prince would like to bask in your presence." Sylvester said with a cheezy grin.

"The hell kinda nickname is that?" Cole asked, sitting up in his bed.

Sylvester chuckled and climbed into his bed, with me still in his arms. This action only made Cole even more confused than he already was.

"Cole, I want a hug..." I said, rolling over to him and out of Sylvester’s arms.

"Seriously, what is happening right now?" Cole chuckled, pulling me into his arms.

"The short story is, Bellamy and Ferdinand are in trouble, and Kaleb had company last night." Sylvester said, as carefree as ever.

The way he said it though, made it seem entirely like Bellamy and Ferdinand had been Kaleb’s company.

"What? How the hell is that possible? I’ll fucking kill them!" Cole yelled angrily, his beautiful eyes glimmering with hatred.

"Uhm, what? No, dummy. They weren’t his company, they just orchestrated the whole meeting... Jeez, calm down. They’d already be dead if that was the case, simmer down baby Alpha." Sylvester waved away Cole’s words, and got comfortable behind me.

"Well learn how to phrase shit better. That was misleading as hell." Cole groaned, kissing my forehead repeatedly.

I took a moment to breathe him in as well. They really did calm me down considerably, and I could feel all my fatigue crawling up my spine, threatening to take me under.

"So what’s the long story, why are they in trouble?" Cole asked, rubbing my back as I rubbed my face across his bare chest.

"They snuck around last night, setting Kaleb up with an Alpha, and didn’t consult me at all." I grumbled.

"Well... I can sorta understand why, though... You’d definitely say no..." Cole chuckled.

I peeked up at him with a frown.

"You siding with the idiots now?" Sylvester asked, darkly.

"Ah... no... I’m just saying, I wouldn’t want to piss Tristan off... never again..." Cole replied, nervously.

"For your information, I wouldn’t have said no. My first heat was spent at the facility. It was hell on earth. Delcain’s first heat was spent at our apartment, it was a heartbreaking experience. Once we were free, I was too much of a coward to ever try to have any flings or one night stands during my heat cycles. But if that was what Kaleb wanted, I wouldn’t object. He’s an adult now. He can make those decisions on his own..." I said, exasperated.

"So then, why are they in trouble?" Cole asked, confused.

"Haaah... our heat cycles are a nightmare, because the memories from that facility always seem to manifest the strongest during that time. It’s like some weird trigger for them. Had those idiots not tried to be sneaky, I could have explained that to them, and prepared Kaleb on what to do when that happens. Luckily, the Alpha wasn’t some random guy, and they seemed to have overcome the first night. But Kaleb still has at least 3 days to go, those memories will get much worse..." I sighed.

"Yeah, I remember you were having night terrors and flashbacks during the mating cycle too... I see what you mean now... If you’re saying you all go through similar situations, then yeah... this is no small matter..." Cole said with a grimace.

"Wait? He did? When was this?" Sylvester asked, perplexed.

"Haha! The night of the pink syringe... Our prince became unhinged as hell..." Cole chuckled nervously.

"Hmm? Oh my Gods, I don’t think I’ll forget that night for as long as I live... so that’s what triggered it? Sheesh, then you’re absolutely right, this plan was way too thoughtless, and Gaibe should be briefed thoroughly..." Sylvester said, grimacing as well.

"But it’s too late now... Kaleb is easily embarrassed about things like this. Like me, he hates feeling weak and helpless about his own body and mind. He won’t give us the chance to explain it properly anymore. I gave Gaibe the best advice I could, hopefully he’s smart enough to take it..." I sighed.

"So what are you going to do about Ferdinand and Bellamy?" Cole asked, nervously.

"What do you think I should do?" I asked.

There would definitely need to be a punishment, I just wasn’t sure how extreme it should be.

’I probably shouldn’t make these kinds of decisions when I’m so tired and angry...’

Bellamy’s Point Of View

"I can’t believe I told the truth, denied my involvement, and I still got in trouble!? This is all your fault, dumbass!" I said angrily, pacing Ferdinand’s room.

"Oho? Speaking of your involvement, I’ll be sure to let Tristan know all about the integral role you played in making it all possible to begin with, asshole. You tried to throw me under the bus, and damned yourself in the process, idiot." Ferdinand grumbled.

"I don’t even know Gaibe, and for all he knows, you picked him up. I did nothing wrong! I’ll die on that hill!" I yelled.

"Hate to break it to you dummy, but I could definitely perceive your distance when you left last night. And if I felt it, Sylvester felt it. And if his smug holier-than-thou attitude didn’t clue you in earlier, he definitely told Tristan..." Ferdinand said, rolling his eyes.

I was momentarily speechless. I didn’t think our bond had upgraded to such a degree. It honestly wasn’t fair, in the grand scheme of things. But with that tidbit of information, I collapsed in a chair. I was totally, 100%, unequivocally, fucked.

I hadn’t forgotten the last time I had pissed Tristan off. I had narrowly dodged a bullet back then. This time, there were countless things he could be mad at us for, and I couldn’t even begin to know which one had actually pissed him off.

I wasn’t stupid enough to act like what we did was a matter of life or death like last time, but I also didn’t want to face his questioning without any proper answers either.

’How can such an adorable guy, be so fucking terrifying!?’

"What do you think pissed him off more? Setting Kaleb up with an Alpha? Lying and/or avoiding telling Tristan the truth? Or not involving him in our plans from the start?" Ferdinand said, as if reading my mind.

I stared at him, bemused. He was shamelessly attempting to do exactly as I was. I didn’t want to help him out of the shit he had willingly stepped in, but I couldn’t shake the feeling that if Ferdinand failed, I failed too.

’And that is unacceptable!’

I pondered his question for a bit. I too, was curious about what it was that we did, that actually made Tristan upset. His anger hadn’t subsided at all since he left Syl’s bathroom.

"Well, our mate is anything but simple. So I doubt it’s because of the Alpha." I replied.

"I agree... I have a hun–"

"Hey, idiots. Tristan has summoned you to Cole’s room." Sylvester said with a smug grin, as he barged into Ferdinand’s room and interrupted him.

’Ugh... I’d really like to punch his smug face right fucking now...’
