Chapter 145: Chapter - 145 Not A Chance
Gaibe’s Point Of View
"Alahstir, how much longer until we reach home?" I asked with a yawn.
I had helped Zachariah relocate the Omegas to Aidehynn and Waihlynn’s facilities, before heading home. I was absolutely beat, and ready for bed.
"We are almost there, boss. Less than 5 minutes away." He replied.
"Ahjin, will you call ahead and have them prepare a bath for me? I want to drink and relax." I asked.
"Absolutely, boss." He replied, dutifully.
I could still smell Tristan’s pheromones on my skin, even though the smell was faint, it was still there nonetheless. The way he ruthlessly punished Naithynn and Rahzden, still lingered in my mind.
The way that no one objected, was still terrifying in and of itself. Sure, I wasn’t going to speak up on their behalf, but I couldn’t help but wonder if they should have just killed Rahzden from the start.
A man like him would certainly plot his revenge, no matter how long it would take. Not only that, but in my opinion, he just knew too much. Maybe they hoped that the Whastelahnd would kill him, but I felt like he would thrive like a cockroach in an abandoned home there.
"We’ve arrived, boss." Alahstir said, as he landed the Helo in my backyard.
We each climbed out of the Helo and stretched. It was clear that I wasn’t the only one that was tired from all of the action over the last three days. Alahstir and Ahjin even volunteered to service some of the Omegas from the Lore’rahlye facility, as well. Though they both agreed that they could never volunteer again. They had both described it as an unforgettable, yet unforgiving night.
"Welcome home, Young Master. We have prepared a bath, and your favorite drink. Alahstir, Ahjin... We have prepared baths for you as well. Nohbellzi and Mahzden will watch over the Young Master in your stead, while you relax." Wehsley said, as he ushered us into my home.
"Thank you, Wehsley. As dutiful as always, I see. Ahjin, Alahstir, take as long as you need. You boys certainly earned it." I said, as I headed to my room.
After I arrived in my room, I stripped down on my way to my bathroom. I ended up completely naked, once I reached my tub. I stepped inside and immediately sighed, as my body slowly submerged into the hot water.
"Master, I realize that you were excited to relax, but there are clothes hampers in your room and bathroom, for a reason." Wehsley sighed, as he picked up my clothes and tossed them into the hamper.
"But you always clean up after me anyway. So it’s fine, right?" I retorted, as I turned on the jets in my bath.
"This is also why I insist that you take a mate soon. You need someone to keep you in line. I will not always be here to scold you, you know?" Wehsley chided.
"Trying to find a mate sounds troublesome. And my life is plenty busy already. No need to add a woman to the mix..." I sighed.
Wehsley said nothing more, and quietly poured me a cup of Whisky. I intended to get absolutely wasted tonight, and forget about everything that had happened this past weekend. Ferdinand, Sylvester, and their mate, were terrifying.
’Ihope that I never have to see them rampage again, in this lifetime... Because the memories are just too overwhelming...’

Gaibe’s Point Of View
2 Days Later
"Young Master, it’s time to wake up now. You’ve slept in past noon, and your phone is ringing." I heard Wehsley say, as he shook me awake.
He was indeed correct however, my phone was ringing, relentlessly. I let out a soft groan, and picked up my phone. I couldn’t help but sit up immediately, when I noticed the name on the caller ID.
"Hello?" I asked, timidly.
It wasn’t everyday that another Mafia King reached out to me on a whim. In fact, no one but the twins and Lyukhe even called me on a monthly basis.
–Hey, Gaibe... I have a favor to ask of you. Ferdinand said, practically whispering.
"What’s up? It’s not everyday that I get a call from you... This must be important." I replied.
–Yeah... Sorry to spring this on you so suddenly, but... Would you be willing to help Tristan’s little brother through his first heat cycle, if he asked you to?
I was momentarily stunned speechless. That was a big ask. Not just because it was the boy’s first heat cycle, but also because his big brother was none other than the Omega who had given me nightmares for the past two days. Pissing him off would be my greatest regret.
On the bright side, if Ferdinand was asking me for a favor, it meant that he trusted me enough to do so. Not only that, but it was the little brother of his mate. I had learned first-hand, just how precious their family had meant to each of them.
–Gaibe?
"Y-Yeah... I’m still here. Just processing your question... slowly..." I mumbled.
–Ha-ha! Well you can say no, if you want. I promised him I would get a line up of eligible bachelors, who I thought would be suitable for his needs. So I figured I’d give you a call and ask you first, before adding you.
"When would this need to happen?" I asked, dumbfounded.
–Tonight... Either at, or after midnight. Today is his 16th Birthday.
"Whaa? Seriously?!" I asked, taken aback even more.
–Yeah. The other Omegas were talking about how awful their first heat’s were, and this is basically a house of Alphas and Betas, who serve under me or Syl. I didn’t want things to be awkward around the house for him afterwards. So just think about it, and message me when you’ve made a decision.
"How many other men are going to be in this line up? Any other Kings?" I asked, curious.
It wasn’t like I needed to know what the competition looked like, but if other Kings were being added to the mix, I probably didn’t stand a chance.
–20 guys in total. I also added, the twins, Bennhayzin, and Waihlynn to the list, as well.
’Yup... Not a chance... Like, at all...’
"I’ll do it if he chooses me, though I doubt it. Not to mention, I definitely don’t want to incur Tristan’s wrath. I’ve lost sleep after seeing that Omega of yours pissed off..." I sighed.
–Okay. Thanks man. I’ll let you know his decision later on...
*Click...*
"A potential mate perhaps, Young Master?" Wehsley asked, hopeful.
"No, Wehs... Just helping a friend... maybe..." I sighed, as I climbed out of bed.
The shock of it all was still sinking in. My greatest fear was being chosen, and then, not being a good match for the boy, and inadvertently pissing Tristan off.
’Ugh... I think I’m going to need some stomach medication...’

Kaleb’s Point Of View
I knew that I was probably stressing Ferdinand out by putting him on the spot like this, but after playing with my siblings and seeing Kaihsie so happy and carefree, I knew I couldn’t just have some meaningless encounter with an Alpha.
I wasn’t hoping for anything as cheezy as love at first sight, or a fated mate, but if the Alpha ended up having a decent personality, I at least wanted him to be someone who could actually support me and my sister if it came to that.
"Haaah... Your brother is definitely going to kill me..." Ferdinand said, putting his head in his hands.
"Then just don’t tell him the details, dumbass. I’ll just say I was trying to figure out the face of a man I saw when you all came to rescue us. Easy peazy." I shrugged, nonchalantly.
"And if you end up liking the Alpha you choose, and want to leave his side? There’s no lie that could cover that up, Kaleb. Also, I’d rather not have to lie at all... Jeez..." Ferdinand grumbled.
He really was a huge softie for my brother. It was commendable, but also insanely annoying.
"Well once it’s over and done with, there’s no going back. So just let him throw a fit. Then have hot make up sex or something. Who cares?" I asked, sifting through the pictures again.
"Whaa? Seriously?! How the hell can you say that so easily? Does sex not bother you or something?!" Ferdinand whispered, harshly.
"Look, those bastards basically desensitized the male recessive Omegas, at that facility. He hides it well, but Del is the same way. We were basically the guinea pigs of the facility. So to answer your question, no, the act itself doesn’t really bother me. What bothers me, is not being able to choose my partner." I shrugged.
Ferdinand sat there in stunned silence, and I had to admit I felt a little bad. He had just wanted to help me, but as a mated Alpha he never really interacted with the kids much. He never got to know us on a personal level, and they probably never wanted to talk about what we went through in Delgaide.
But it was the truth, and I wasn’t really ashamed of my past. I was more worried that it could happen again. Not having a will of my own was the worst possible outcome.
I had pondered my choices thoroughly, and whereas choosing the twins seemed like a safe bet, there was no telling how different their personalities actually were. Not to mention, having two mates when I didn’t necessarily need two, just seemed greedy.
"This guy. I will choose him. If he won’t do it, I guess the twins. If they can’t do it either, then the King of Delgaide. Though I’d rather that be a fling. I refuse to go back to Delgaide... Ever..."
"Haaah... Fuck... He’s a frikkin monster... who knew? Not me, apparently... Tristan, please forgive me..." Ferdinand grumbled as he took out his phone, and began to text.
"Hey! I thought you were going to go lay down?" Tristan asked, confused.
’Well, shit... I guess I wasn’t fast enough... Damn it all...’
