Chapter 994: Chapter 543: Who Wouldn’t Want Such a Big Bargain?_3

Having heard that, Sean Knight also felt a flicker of recognition.

It seemed that C-130s appeared in some of those desert-themed war movies and TV programs, including "The Expendables".

"Alright, you fly for a while, and I’ll ask around to see if we can get one of those," Sean said.

"If we could get our hands on that, boss, why would I still run this route?" Charles Young said to Sean, laughing.

"Looks like you really are a creature of habit," Sean nodded and smiled, "Do you feel like military airplanes are more thrilling to fly than civilian ones?"

"That’s for real!"

Even though the C-130 was developed by America as a military transport aircraft, there are plenty used for civilian purposes as well.

Export to China was once restricted, but a few years ago, their former president lifted the ban due to trade issues.

However, the models sold to China were definitely outdated ones.

Sean thought that if he wanted to buy newer models, he might need to reach out to Robert, but that could wait until it was more convenient.

The tribal residents were loading up the car with items that had been dug out from the Cave Storehouse.

Some items were of no use to the tribal residents, but if transported to China, they would be in high demand.

It was all about providing something fresh and new.

What the tribal residents needed most, though, were common everyday supplies.

At the moment, a perfect exchange of needs was taking place.

Sean had already planned to have his brother, Oscar Knight, set up a trading company in Xinjiang to specialize in selling these American military supplies and provisions, as well as local Afghan specialties.

It was a long-term business, not about making a huge profit, but about offering convenience.

Ryan Carter truly did not let Sean down. When Charles Young left again, the drone fleet was already patrolling the area.

They had spotted residents from a nearby tribe observing them, but noted that they did not carry any anti-air weapons.

So after reporting this, Ryan and his team did not take any action.

Since Xinjiang was relatively close to Afghanistan, Charles could run two trips in a day, or three every two days, with his airplane.

Excluding those items from the Cave Storehouse that could not possibly be transported, such as weapons, vehicles, and ammunition, and after setting aside what the Hassan Tribe kept, it would take until about thirty-five Boeing 747 trips to finish the job.

At that time, the tribal alliance summoned by Bagel finally arrived late to the vicinity of the Cave Storehouse.

To their surprise and slight fear, numerous formal defensive positions had already been dug around the Cave Storehouse.

Behind the fortifications, wielding various high-powered weapons, were not the tribal residents they expected, but strangers with Chinese faces, wearing steel helmets and bulletproof vests!

Staring down the dark muzzles and cannon barrels, observing the rocket launchers that had been set up, and seeing the brand-new Humvees and Infantry Fighting Vehicles, Bagel felt both frightened and envious.

This temporary alliance was his doing. Under the encouraging gazes of the others, he had no choice but to bite the bullet and step forward, shouting loudly:

"Elder Hassan, it’s me, Bagel. Can you come out and talk?"

Elder Hassan, of course, already knew about the presence of Bagel and his followers.

Among the people Charles brought over this time, it wasn’t just Ryan who could operate drones.

After learning that there were others who could also operate the drones, Sean had another person named Leo Han take control of the drones to monitor the surroundings of the Cave Storehouse.

Therefore, the movement of Bagel and his five or six hundred tribal warriors had long been observed by Hassan Bager and his people.

And the second day after Sean’s security personnel arrived, they began digging defensive positions around the Cave Storehouse.

Although these security personnel had served in various places before, they all remembered their basic military training from boot camp and active duty.

Digging fortifications, constructing defensive works, calibrating weapons, and even performing some trial shootings.

Not all the warriors had come over; Sean had arranged for some technicians to be at the base.

Only those fully prepared and willing to shoot if a sudden incident occurred, eagerly wanting to get a taste of combat, were assigned here.

Even so, these people were almost all fully armed.

Each had a helmet and a bulletproof vest.

Operating these different types of weapons was no big deal for these warriors.

Seeing the excitement in these guys, Sean repeatedly cautioned them not to let things get out of hand.

Although he did not forbid them from firing the first shot, a gunshot during negotiations could easily cause a lot of trouble.

This led to Bagel speaking very cautiously.

He could clearly sense that those operating the weapons had an excited gleam in their eyes, looking at him as a lion looks at an antelope.

"Bagel, just say what you need to say. I’m busy here," said Hassan, quite impatiently.

With these new weapons and so many professionals, Hassan now had a lot of confidence in his position.

He was an experienced veteran of war and could feel the vigorous killing intent coming from the group operating the weapons!

Although there were more combat personnel on the opposite side, the quality of their equipment was in a different league altogether.

If a fight did break out, it probably wouldn’t take more than one allotment of ammunition for their side to fall!

"It’s like this," said Bagel, very cautiously, "We’ve heard that you’ve discovered the Americans’ old Cave Storehouse and gotten a huge cache of supplies.

You know we’re all quite poor, and we once belonged to the same tribe. Do you think you could share a bit with us? It’s not good to hog it all."

"It’s no problem to share a bit," Hassan readily agreed this time.

Bagel was overjoyed, having thought there was no chance at all. He had only to look at the weapons on the other side and knew that what his people had was no match for them.

Even if they overwhelmed by sheer numbers, how could flesh and blood withstand bullets from a .50 caliber gun?

Now that Hassan was relenting, at least he wouldn’t have to face the pressure from everyone else.

"But I have a condition," Hassan’s tone changed, "As long as you agree to it, not only can we share some of what we’ve dug up with everyone, but in the future, there will be a continuous flow of items from China that we can trade with everyone!"

"Really?" Bagel was somewhat incredulous, such good fortune seemed unbelievable.

"Quick, what’s the condition?" He had decided that even if the terms were a little harsh, he would agree, knowing that everyone was aware of the abundant produce and cheap goods from China, good quality at fair prices. If regular exchanges with China were possible, taking a bit of a loss would be worthwhile!
