Road to becoming the wealthiest: Starting From Treasure Hunting in the Cabinets
Chapter 91: Elson’s Anxious! Mark’s Anxious!

Chapter 91: Chapter 91: Elson’s Anxious! Mark’s Anxious!

In a luxurious Chinese-style decorated villa, a young man of Chinese heritage was roaring at a white man:

"How did you handle that? Wasn’t it previously said that he couldn’t possibly survive his severe injuries? Now the will is gone, who else could it be?"

Caucasian lawyer Mark showed a look of regret:

"At the time, he had been shot several times and by any measure, should not have survived. The gunshots attracted the police, so my people had to leave..."

As Mark reached this point in his explanation, he knew that further explanation was useless.

The stolen will could only suggest that Sean Knight was still alive.

"Mr. Elson, I think the most important thing now is not to pursue responsibility, but to deal with the situation..."

"Don’t you think I know that the most important thing is that? But since you messed up, you’ll be the one to take responsibility and solve the problems that arose!"

Mark inwardly cursed his luck!

After the last attack on Sean, he did send people to inquire about Sean’s situation.

But the people nearby knew nothing about Sean.

They had not heard of any Chinese people being rescued, nor were there any hospital records of Sean being treated for injuries.

That’s why Mark thought Sean was dead.

After all, the place where Sean was ambushed was chaotic. It was considered abnormal if there weren’t three to five fights and robberies occurring daily.

So Mark didn’t continue looking into it.

And in this case of the stolen will, although some of the other party’s people were injured, Mark immediately investigated upon receiving the news, but still, there was no news of injured people in the nearby hospitals.

Mark even spent a lot of money comparing the blood types, fingerprints, and other information of the trauma patients admitted to New York’s major hospitals at that time.

However, there were no results.

So he had no choice but to report it to Elson.

After all, this matter could not be hidden.

As expected, Elson still dumped the matter on his head.

"I hope you do a cleaner job this time! After all, my nominal foster father has had a miraculous experience!" Elson reminded Mark:

"He has been seriously injured before, and when others thought he would surely die, he miraculously recovered. And since then, he’s had an incredibly good fortune! I haven’t figured out why to this day!"

Mark thought to himself, perhaps what you’re after is not the reason for your foster father’s good fortune, but those antiques and treasures he purchased!

When Jeremy Knight was alive, he made some good investments in collecting and bought some valuable treasures.

However, Elson did not find these items after Jeremy’s death.

He suspected that Jeremy had a special way to hide these items.

So when he saw the will, he thought that Jeremy might have transferred the items to Sean through the will.

That’s why he attacked Sean, wanting to greedily swallow the inheritance.

But after the event, Elson did not find these collectibles in the mansion that Sean was supposed to inherit.

Moreover, he didn’t expect that Sean might not be dead and even arranged for someone to steal the will!

"You’d better solve this issue quickly, or when the other party comes to find me with the will in hand, I think you should know your fate by then!"

After threatening Mark with these words, Elson waved his hand to let him go!

When dealing with these people, Elson knew there was no need for politeness. As long as they can make money from him, even if he scolds them to death, they would still grin and bear it.

Of course, if you don’t have money, don’t even think about having them speak politely to you. It is simply impossible!

However, Elson was also very anxious.

Although Jeremy left him a considerable amount of assets, turning them into large amounts of cash was difficult!

If he could find those collectibles, he could quickly cash out.

But now, trying to cash out the manor and villa in a hurry would not only result in a significant loss, but it would also affect his reputation in high society.

It would not be a good thing.

Mark was not only serving Elson. As a lawyer, he not only conducted legitimate lawyer business but also took on part-time work as a broker, doing some shady deals.

With the will gone, Mark had a vague feeling that his and Elson’s troubles might have increased considerably!

On the one hand, he was reporting the situation to Elson; on the other hand, he was letting Elson share some of the blame so that he could clean up his connection to the matter.

If necessary, shift the blame!

Sean Knight had no idea that his two enemies were currently hatching separate schemes and making calculations against each other.

He felt that if he had time to collect some information on that suspicious Nazi businessman, he might be able to get his hands on something.

In Mr. Joseph’s diary, his comrade in arms later didn’t find anything related to the Nazis in that businessman’s manor.

However, from the investigation, it appeared that the businessman had indeed come from Europe after the end of World War II.

Was it a coincidence?

It’s hard to say it’s just a coincidence!

Sean was somewhat excited. That could be Nazi treasure!

If it’s real, the gains might not be as small as they are now!

At least several million US dollars to start, right?

With dreams, Sean slept until late before getting up.

Leaving his residence, Sean bought a sandwich and came to the Port Cargo Yard area while eating it.

Jason, Bondi, and others were already working there.

Several containers had been brought in, and a black guy was registering them at the entrance.

Sean went over to take a look and found that there were containers coming from South America.

It seemed that Jason and others had really attracted business by advertising.

The future looked promising!

Sean greeted a few people and headed to the Seven Axes Pub.

Mr. John saw Sean and laughed as he greeted him.

"John, thank you!" Sean sincerely thanked the other party.

"Don’t be so polite." Old John said with a smile as he wiped a wine glass:

"Just considering the commission from yesterday’s deal, it’s worth a month’s income for my bar! I should be thanking you! Investing in you was the best decision I’ve made in my life!"

Sean was somewhat helpless that Old John always saw the help he had given him as a transaction.

So putting aside that topic, Sean asked:

"Is there any good auction going on in the Freight Yard today?"

"No." Old John shook his head, "Not every day has suitable container auctions. Recently, due to the economic downturn, there haven’t been many containers coming to the port, and those that do come are quickly picked up."

As he said this, he thought for a moment and continued:

"By the way, there’s a piece of information that I think might interest you.

In the West Suburb, there’s an old fellow who loves collecting junk, and he recently decided to sell his collection and exchange it for some money to live in the city during retirement. Maybe you can find some good stuff there!"

Sean thought for a moment, and since there was nothing else to do, he decided to go take a look.

After asking Old John for the address, Sean drove there.

Following the address, Sean drove further and further off the beaten path, all the way past the city and into the wilderness where there wasn’t even a small town.

Upon arriving there, Sean’s heart began to race:

Was this guy a country collector?

Could there be any good stuff?
