Chapter 894: Chapter 510: Mixing the Fake with the Genuine, Confusing Names and Faces
Looking at the policemen inspecting the Entrance of the Airport, Sean Knight suddenly asked Lincoln Harrington:"You were at the Hotel these past few days, you have a proof of alibi, right?"
"Yes, I do," Lincoln Harrington got it instantly, "The Hotel has monitoring equipment, so boss, go ahead, you first. Their inspection will primarily target appearances—
Boss, you didn’t bring any prohibited items, did you?"
"No," Sean Knight chuckled, "The items are all in another place. I’m not that stupid."
"Alright, boss, you go ahead, I’ll follow in a bit." Lincoln Harrington drove the Car to the Airport Entrance.
Seeing that the main inspectors were policemen, Sean Knight mostly set his mind at ease and walked into the Airport after getting out of the car.
At the Security Check, Sean Knight glanced at the stack of Photos the policeman held, which, as expected, were those involved in the drug experiment.
The response from the Laboratory was indeed quick.
Sean Knight went through the VIP Passage, where there were also policemen checking, but after glancing over and comparing Sean Knight’s passport and other information, they let him pass.
After all, those flying on private jets definitely have extraordinary identities, and those policemen wouldn’t be dense enough to insist on detaining him.
Once inside the Airport, Charles Young and others were already waiting by the airplane.
"Boss, please board the plane."
"How long until the Route we applied for takes off?"
"Half an hour."
"Then let’s wait for Lincoln Harrington," Sean Knight said as he boarded the plane, slightly relaxing.
However, since the plane hadn’t taken off, he dared not let his guard down completely.
At this moment, Lincoln Harrington parked the car and walked towards the inside of the Airport.
Almost simultaneously, two cars sped towards the Airport and arrived.
Molly Wilson and several security guards got out of the cars, hurrying towards the Security Check.
This time, the loss in the Laboratory was too great, especially since all the monitoring equipment had been destroyed.
And several of the Volunteers who tried the medicine had run away. Although most had been found, a few were still missing.
As the Technical Supervisor of the Laboratory, and particularly because she was in the Laboratory when the incident happened at Night, Molly Wilson was inevitably the one to blame.
The most significant loss was the Raw materials for the targeted drugs, which were valued by the gram.
This time they had lost various types of ten kilograms, an amount that would take selling Molly Wilson several times over to recover!
So Molly Wilson was very angry. Though reluctant, all signs now pointed to that "Luke Anderson." The security guard saw Molly herself moving around in the Laboratory, and the Laboratory access records were hers.
The senior management of the Laboratory still trusted Molly’s loyalty, but finding the truth and accounting for the losses fell on Molly’s shoulders.
Upon reaching the Security Check, Molly, with a cold expression, asked the security guard captain who was checking with the police:
"How is it, have you seen any suspicious targets?"
"No..." The security guard captain knew those who distributed the medicine, but at the moment, he could only shake his head. Finding someone this way was like searching for a needle in a sea—it seemed almost impossible that they’d find anyone—wait a minute!
The security guard captain’s eyes suddenly widened:
"Professor Molly, look..."
He pointed towards Lincoln Harrington, who was walking toward the Security Check.
Molly Wilson saw Lincoln Harrington and mistook him for "Luke Anderson" at first glance!
Ha! You dare show up so brazenly!
Molly rushed towards Lincoln Harrington in her high heels "clack, clack, clack," reaching for his collar when she felt something was off—the scent was wrong!
But by appearances, it should be that Luke Anderson!
"You dare to show up here!" Molly hissed viciously:
"Speak! Why did you do it? Why did you destroy the Laboratory? You...who are you working for?"
Lincoln Harrington looked completely innocent:
"Madam, you must have mistaken me for someone else. I don’t know you at all!"
Molly felt there was something slightly off, but the security guard captain came over and grasped Lincoln Harrington’s arm viciously and said:
"Stop squirming! It’s you! Luke Anderson! I remember very clearly, when I tried to stop you guys at the Entrance, you yelled out, and then everyone charged and overpowered us...
Don’t think I can’t recognize you just because you lowered your voice!"
The policemen also came over; he looked at the Photo of "Luke Anderson" and then at the Lincoln Harrington in front of him and finally confirmed that this man was the suspect the Laboratory was looking for.
"Sir, please come with us for a trip to the Police Station."
The policeman cared about evidence; even though the Photo seemed to match, they had to take Lincoln Harrington to the Police Station to confirm it.
"Officer, you’ve definitely mistaken me for someone else!" Lincoln Harrington appeared wholly innocent, "I came here for tourism from China. I’ve been at the Hotel and In the City these days. I haven’t gone anywhere else. On what grounds are you arresting me?"
"You were at the Hotel? You’re a tourist?" The policeman was a bit skeptical; with such a striking resemblance, how could there be any mistake?
"Which Hotel are you staying at?" The policeman was performing his duty and didn’t intend to wrongfully accuse anyone, so he had to ask clearly.
"Officer, don’t listen to his nonsense! He is one of the Volunteers who were trying drugs in our Laboratory; he looks exactly the same, with only a letter difference in his name... how could it not be him?"
The security guard captain was convinced Lincoln Harrington was "Luke Anderson," and so he insisted.
Molly Wilson, however, had an instinctual feeling that something was not quite right. This Lincoln Harrington’s "scent" was genuinely different, and he was far too composed.
If he really was Luke Anderson, now that she had caught him red-handed, no matter how resolute his mindset, it was impossible for him not to show any flaws.
Also, having been in close contact with him—she was so familiar with Luke Anderson’s scent—and this person’s scent was indeed different.
