Chapter 808: Chapter 480 This Business That Comes Knocking on Our Door

Noon food was had outside. Rou Johnson couldn’t cook, Lana Brown could, but there was no reason to have her cook. Oliver Brooks simply invited them to eat out.

During the meal, Lana Brown raised a question:

"What should we do if Sister-in-law Rou feels unwell on the plane from here to China?"

Sean Knight and Oliver Brooks looked at each other, they really hadn’t thought that far ahead.

"It will be fine. We’ll first take the plane to Big Island," Sean Knight thought for a moment and said, "The distance isn’t long, so she should be able to get a feel of flying. If it doesn’t work out, then we’ll simply stay here and figure it out later."

Oliver Brooks agreed with this suggestion.

Rou also found it feasible.

"So, shall we go in these two days?" Sean Knight said with a smile, "It’s not far anyway, we can come and go at any time."

That was indeed true.

After the meal, they rested for a while, then really began packing up and took an airplane to Big Island together.

"Before, I thought that taking a trip here would mean drifting on the sea for two or three days," Oliver Brooks sighed on the plane, "so I seldom thought about coming over. Now it’s good, we can get here in just a few hours; this airplane is really convenient..."

The airplane landed on Big Island, and Sean Knight and his group spent the whole time observing Rou’s reaction.

Before the plane took off, they had already alerted the staff that there was a pregnant woman on board, so the flight was fairly smooth.

Rou was also in good health and didn’t have any airsickness, so this trip she only looked slightly pale.

"Not bad," Sean Knight said to Oliver Brooks, who was helping Rou off the plane, laughing, "Looks like there’s no problem. Good, then we will spend two days on the island, and then we’ll go to China."

Sean Knight was just leading Oliver Brooks to the living area when his mobile phone rang.

To his surprise, it was a phone call from Joseph Davis.

What would Joseph Davis be calling about at this time?

He took out his mobile phone and spoke to Lana Brown first:

"Lana, take Mr. Brooks and the others to the villa to get settled. See if anything’s missing and replenish as necessary. I need to take a call."

Then he said to Oliver Brooks:

"Mr. Brooks, I have a phone call to take, let’s chat later."

"You just go about your business," Oliver Brooks said, curiously looking at the living area while laughing, "Don’t mind us; we want to have some free time to ourselves, haha."

After waving at them, Sean Knight answered Joseph Davis’s phone call.

"Mr. Knight, hello."

"Curator Joseph Davis, hello. I’m here on Big Island right now... How about it, do you have time to come over and have some fun?"

"Fun? No time for that shortly. Because of the cultural relics you donated, our museum’s tourists have increased by more than 30%, we’re too busy."

"That’s good news. I can hear you’re busy and happy," Sean Knight laughed and said, "Our museum could definitely organize the staff to travel to my Big Island in batches. I’ll be responsible for the reception."

"Hey, now that you mention it, that’s not a bad idea!" Joseph Davis’s eyes brightened, "I have to suggest that to the leaders when I have the time."

"Right, let’s talk about something serious, there’s a matter that I think requires you to return to the country."

"What’s the matter?" Sean Knight was a bit puzzled, "Tell me."

"Do you remember the leader Spencer we met at the last ceremony?"

Sean Knight thought for a while, realizing he was referring to General Spencer from the Military District.

"I know, I know," Sean Knight said, knowing it might be inappropriate to discuss ranks over the phone, so he kept it vague as well.

"You mentioned the procurement issues of your island last time, the leader looked into it and said he could pull some strings for you."

"Really? That’s great!" Sean Knight got excited all of a sudden. "What do we need to do on our end?"

"Bring documents, procedures, and the like," Joseph Davis said, "After all, as you know, the sale of some goods is restricted."

Both were being vague, but they understood each other perfectly well.

"I understand." Sean Knight said with a smile, "Curator Joseph Davis, you have really helped me out a lot!"

"When will you be coming back? Over here...."

"In these two days," Sean Knight said, "I was planning on heading back anyway. I have a friend whose pregnant wife is about to give birth; they’re planning to go to the Capital City for the delivery, and also buy a courtyard..."

Joseph Davis felt different hearing this. Ordinary people would have to empty dozens of wallets just to buy a house in Capital City, and now, people are directly buying courtyards.

However, thinking about it, it made sense; who would donate cultural relics worth hundreds of millions just like that? Ordinary people, or most of the rich, could they do it?

They weren’t in the same league.

"Well then, I’ll explain a couple of things over here. Just let me know when you get back," Joseph Davis said, "I’ll set something up."

"Alright, alright." Sean Knight responded.

After he hung up the phone, Sean Knight’s right fist landed hard on his left palm, this deal was almost sealed!

After all, Leader Spencer’s position was different.

Since Rou was feeling quite well, the second day Sean Knight and the group took a flight to Capital City.

"Stay at my place first, a Quadrangle Courtyard. It’s pretty spacious and the location isn’t bad either." Once they were out of the airport, Sean Knight took Oliver Brooks and the others to his own Quadrangle Courtyard.

Originally, they intended to stay in a hotel, but after Oliver Brooks heard about the location of the courtyard from Sean Knight, he wanted to check it out.

Standing at the entrance, Oliver Brooks was shocked.

"Your Quadrangle Courtyard is really big!"

Having traveled across several metropolises in China for investment purposes, Oliver Brooks was fairly familiar with these places. He knew that in the second ring road of Capital City, a courtyard like this wasn’t something he could afford with his money.
