Chapter 715: Chapter 447: Hugging Grass to Hunt Rabbits, but Got a Wolf! _3
Eli slid the window open and quietly climbed in.
He had done things like this before, and after landing, he immediately surveyed the room, not finding anything suspicious.
There were just a lot of things in this room.
After confirming it was safe, he waved to Adam Glover and Grosia Roxanne, and they both climbed in one after the other.
The plan was to knock out Sean Knight, tie him up, hoist him up, and then the three of them would each climb up.
The three untied the ropes, set up the hooks, and quietly made their way to the bedroom.
The bedroom door wasn’t locked; Eli thought, Sean really had guts.
With such a high value, living in a hotel with so few security personnel would be reckless enough, but to be so careless when sleeping?
This was like God sending money his way!
He took out a towel soaked in Ether, approached the sleeping person on the bed, and was about to smother the person’s face.
Adam Glover and Grosia Roxanne also let down their guard as they hadn’t seen anyone else around.
At this moment, the restroom door quietly opened. Hearing the sound, Adam Glover turned his head just as Captain Hastings’s fist slammed into the back of his head!
Adam’s eyes rolled back, and he fell down.
Grosia Roxanne turned to flee but ran straight into the waiting arms of Douglas Cooper.
Douglas swiftly dislocated both of her arms and, in the next move, her jaw as well!
Captain Hastings disdainfully said:
"You have no chivalry at all, no wonder you still don’t have a girlfriend!"
Douglas looked wronged:
"Captain Hastings, that’s just irrational! If I had acted chivalrous just now, we might have lost our lives!
This woman is ruthless! Look at what she’s armed with..."
As he spoke, he blocked Grosia’s knee aimed at his lower body, then punched her in the stomach. Grosia, in pain, doubled over as her face turned white and broke out in a cold sweat!
This man was truly unchivalrous!
Douglas then shook out a pile of items hidden on Grosia’s body.
Poisoned needles in her hair, retractable poisonous points on her high heels, poison hidden in her ring, hallucinogens in her belt pack, and so on.
At this point, Eli had his arm dislocated by Sean, his mouth sealed with tape, and was unable to escape from their control despite his struggles.
"Alright, it seems they have accomplices. Let’s interrogate them quickly and catch them all at once. It’ll be safer that way, and we won’t have to worry about any follow-up trouble."
A few minutes later, Grosia could no longer hold on, and she confessed everything.
Eli didn’t last much longer either. Now that they were no longer bound by military discipline, Captain Hastings and Douglas would not spare anyone who threatened their lives.
While they did not resort to extreme measures, some of the punishments from legends were resurrected by them.
By comparison, it was easy to tell if someone was lying.
The monkey from the Southeast Peninsula, however, never spoke, which surprised Captain Hastings and the others.
Alastair King was on the rooftop, vigilant and watching the surroundings, when he suddenly sensed the ropes shaking.
It was the signal, and he immediately looked down to see a person wearing pajamas.
The distance was a little far, and he didn’t think much of it before starting the machine.
Soon, the other two ropes were also moving.
Alastair took another look and saw the people in black clothing; he started the machine for them as well.
His focus then shifted to other areas.
There was also a hotel diagonally opposite with a diligent security guard at the entrance. It would be best not to let them notice anything.
A moment later, the person was hoisted up, and Alastair dragged them to the rooftop and laid them down.
Two other people climbed up from both sides.
"Is this Sean Knight?" Alastair asked in a muffled voice.
Before he could get an answer, he turned his head and saw two fists coming at him!
Caught off guard, Alastair went on the defensive. It was then that he realized the body shapes of these two were nothing like Eli and his team!
However, Alastair was not worried at all, as his unarmed combat capability was the strongest among the four-men team!
That’s why Eli had actively invited him to join their operation!
Even three of them combined wouldn’t stand a chance against one Alastair!
So Alastair’s first impression was that Eli’s team had been tricked, and he had to defeat these two and exchange them for Eli and the others!
But if Eli had failed, who was the first one to be hauled up?
His mind was a bit slow, and at the moment he realized something wasn’t right, he felt a sharp pain in his leg!
The person originally laid down by him was now holding a hooked blade, which he had plunged deep into Alastair’s leg!
Before Alastair could scream, Captain Hastings had shoved a towel into his mouth and punched it in!
Douglas circled around and took Alastair down with a chokehold. The three men quickly tied him up.
After the interrogation, even Sean was left dumbfounded.
This situation was strange!
Or rather, what a huge coincidence!
"That Eli guy said that he recognized you, then guessed that you came here, possibly for the same purpose as them. Plus, you’re a billionaire, so they decided to kidnap you,"
Douglas sat on the sofa, finding it somewhat amusing:
"Who would have thought that?"
"There’s more than you’d think. Who could have imagined that a few days ago, the plane that circled above our heads was theirs? These guys have been doing this for a while. Flying a plane..."
Sean was rendered speechless.
How could they still be after him despite having come this far?
Was it just because he had some money that he became a prime target?
"Boss, what should we do?" Captain Hastings asked.
"What else can we do? They’ve already put a knife to our throats; can we still afford to go easy?" Sean sneered, "Get all the valuable information out of them, then finish them off. Leave no trace!"
"Alright!" Douglas stood up, "You can’t go easy on people like this! Hmph! They think we’re easy targets?"
He and Captain Hastings left, and Lincoln Harrington walked in shortly after.
"How is it? Did Wendy go to sleep? She wasn’t disturbed, was she?"
"No," Lincoln nodded, "She hasn’t been disturbed since the beginning. She’s asleep."
"Alright, you go get some rest too."
"No, I’ll stand guard tonight." Lincoln felt a little embarrassed, "You guys were all in action, and I didn’t do anything..."
"Your most important task right now is to sort out your life! Don’t worry about the rest!" Sean waved his hand, "You’re not needed right now!"
Lincoln felt a little aggrieved; he felt like he was being abandoned...
(Apologies, everyone. Yesterday, my daughter-in-law suffered from a second infection of influenza, which caused headaches, fever, swollen lymph nodes, and a loss of smell. I spent the entire day getting her hospitalized. I’m not feeling well myself, so there’s only one Chapter. I won’t be able to make it up; I’ll see how it goes later on. If there are similar situations in the future, I’ll give prior notice. I’ll try my best not to take time off.)
