Chapter 648: Chapter 420: A Company in Foreign Disguise

The injured person was Lincoln Harrington.

Elijah Hastings and Douglas Cooper quickly carried Lincoln into the sea, then with Sean Knight’s help, they climbed onto the yacht.

Only then did Sean realise that Elijah was also carrying a big bag on his back.

However, it was clear that whatever was inside the bag was not the weapons they had brought along earlier, as the bag was bulging.

Sean didn’t have time to bother with what was inside the bag. He immediately started the yacht and steered it towards the deep ocean.

Only when they reached beyond the traditional border between the two nations did Sean slow down.

After continuing for another ten or so sea miles, Sean stopped and went to check on Lincoln.

By this time, Elijah and Douglas had already put Lincoln on the bed in the crew’s cabin and had cleaned his wound.

Lincoln had a bloody hole in his right shoulder and it was still bleeding.

"Boss, we need to take Lincoln to the hospital as soon as possible!" Douglas was somewhat anxious, "He won’t last much longer!"

Sean saw that Lincoln’s face was pale, his breathing weak, and his heartbeat rapid.

He shook his head and said:

"If we take him to the hospital, what are we going to say? This is clearly a gunshot wound. The doctor will definitely call the police, and we’ll be in trouble!"

Looking at the medical kit beside Lincoln, he said:

"Let’s do it ourselves!"

"But in the army, we only learned basic first aid, and... the bullet is still in Lincoln’s body..."

"I’ll do it!"

Sean had actually already activated Sky Eye and saw a bullet stuck on Lincoln’s shoulder bone.

And right next to the bullet was his carotid artery!

If the bullet had been just a little bit off, Lincoln would be dead by now!

And Sean could see that the bones in Lincoln’s shoulder had been cracked by the bullet, with some bone residue in the muscles and near the blood vessels.

If they did not remove these fragments in time, the movement in his shoulder would eventually threaten his carotid artery!

Therefore, surgery must be performed as soon as possible!

"Can we...do it ourselves?"

Sean took anesthesia from the medical kit and handed it to Douglas:

"Inject him."

After saying that, he washed his hands, put on disposable rubber gloves, and took out the scalpel, ready to perform the surgery.

At this moment, Elijah knew that it was not the time for hesitation. He immediately helped Sean clean the wound on Lincoln’s shoulder, then took out some gauze to be ready to help.

Douglas used a disposable syringe to inject the anesthesia into Lincoln. Sean thought for a moment and said:

"You two absorb some energy first."

He took out two Golden Masks and placed them nearby for Douglas and Elijah to absorb.

Sean could clearly feel that even though Douglas and Elijah were awake and uninjured, they were completely exhausted and at the end of their strength.

If not for Lincoln’s injury, they would probably be lying in bed asleep by now.

Both men didn’t hesitate, and immediately reached out their hands to absorb energy. Sean waited for the anesthesia to take effect, then made an incision on Lincoln’s shoulder.

Blood immediately gushed out.

Sean himself was actually quite nervous - designing this in his mind and watching it on TV was one thing, but actually doing it himself was something else entirely!

But, fortunately, Sean had excellent mental fortitude and knew that there was no turning back once he started. After making the first cut, he hesitated for a moment, then used the gauze to wipe away the blood and made the second cut.

Thanks to Sky Eye, Sean’s incisions were fairly accurate. By the third cut, he had reached the position of the bullet.

He didn’t dare to pry it out with the scalpel, so he took out needle-nose pliers, carefully grasped the bullet, and once he felt it secure, he pulled it out with force!

Although Lincoln was already under anesthesia, he still let out a hum when the bullet was removed.

It was unclear whether the sound he made signified relief or pain.

But Sean didn’t stop. He threw the bullet into the trash can and once again used the gauze to wipe away the blood. He carefully removed any remaining bone residue with the pliers.

Seeing Sean successfully remove the bullet, Elijah and Douglas were both extremely happy, and at the same time, in awe of the accuracy and precision with which he found the bullet.

Although they had never performed a surgery like this themselves, they had seen others do it.

Those TV shows where people casually used a dagger to pry out a bullet from their own bodies were quite exaggerated.

Once Sean finished carefully removing the bone fragments, he proceeded to stitch up the wound.

The medical kit on the yacht was well-stocked with everything Sean needed for the surgery.

However, his stitching technique wasn’t that great, and the needle was a bit big. Sean figured Lincoln wouldn’t mind when he woke up.

After finishing the stitches, Sean remembered that he had bought a hemostatic gel to seal the wound-

Well, that was careless.

He applied the gel to the wound, and at last, breathed a sigh of relief.

Seeing Lincoln’s breathing gradually stabilize, Sean also relaxed.

He collected the surgical tools and then said to Elijah and Douglas:

"From now on, give him an anti-inflammatory shot. He’s bound to have an infection from the wound. Fortunately, you guys have better constitutions than average people, so he should be fine."

The biggest problems Lincoln faced were the bullet still in his body and the excessive blood loss-

Sean guessed that after Lincoln was injured, the trio had been on the run, and there might have been people chasing them. Thus, they couldn’t get effective treatment, and coupled with the excessive blood loss, he passed out.
