Chapter 624: Chapter 408: If They Insist on Seeking Death, What Should We Do?

Sean Knight had done this kind of thing before. He approached the guard and saw that he was completely off-guard. He originally planned to use a curved knife to stab the guard’s neck, but decided against it.

In the end, Sean used a silenced pistol, aimed at the man’s head, and fired.

The man collapsed without making a sound.

The faint gunshot was drowned out by the sound of the waves coming from the seaside, and it did not alert anyone else.

Sean searched the guard’s body but did not find any keys. He then proceeded to the single-story house.

Sean remembered clearly that Douglas Cooper and Lincoln Harrington were locked in the second room in the last row of single-story houses.

By the time he arrived, Elijah Hastings had already arrived as well. Apparently, the guards over there had been dealt with too.

There was an old-fashioned padlock hanging on the door of the house. Elijah was preparing to use brute force to break it, but Sean stopped him. He took out a small, portable electric saw, scraped it against the lock, and then pulled back. The door opened.

A musty smell hit their faces.

Sean guessed that some of the people locked inside might have been unable to control their bowel movements, and had relieved themselves on the spot. That’s why the smell was so strong.

He turned on a flashlight and saw that the room was quite large and might have originally been an employee dormitory. So there was a long row of bunk beds against the inner wall.

However, now all the people captured were tied to the corners of the beds, unable to move their hands and feet, let alone lie down and rest.

As expected, many of them had wet spots under their feet, and a faint foul smell was coming from them.

As soon as they saw the light, many people immediately started squirming ── their mouths were all stuffed with cloth balls, so they couldn’t make any sound.

Sean and Elijah split up to search from both ends. Sean quickly found Lincoln, and on the other end, Elijah found Douglas.

Seeing Sean and Elijah appear, both Lincoln and Douglas had looks of elation and confirmation in their eyes.

They cut the ropes, removed the cloth balls, and Sean smiled and said:

"You guys were careless this time!"

Lincoln waved his hand:

"We were betrayed."

Sean was somewhat puzzled, but now was not the time to ask for details. He didn’t say much more, and after Lincoln had moved his hands and feet a little, Sean handed him a silenced pistol.

He could tell that both Lincoln here and Douglas over there were injured. However, now was not the time to ask questions.

Elijah was untying Douglas as well. Sean asked Douglas:

"Did you find your brother?"

"Found him..." Douglas’s tone was somewhat strange.

"Well, don’t let him go yet. Let’s get out of here first..."

At this moment, a man not far away in the room was shaking his bed vigorously, as if he had something to say.

Sean found it strange and removed the cloth ball from the man’s mouth. The man immediately said:

"Hurry, hurry up and untie me!"

"Why should I? What’s it to you?" Sean’s patience was wearing thin, and he asked if the man knew how to speak politely. Besides, how could helping him now be of any use?

"You won’t untie me? Well, believe it or not, I’ll shout right now and you won’t be able to leave either!"

The man felt like he had found Sean’s weakness and was smugly holding up his bound hands, saying:

"Hurry up! Or I’ll really shout..."

"Bang!" Sean bent down and punched the man in the abdomen, causing him to double over in pain like a shrimp!

Before the man could shout, Sean struck him again in the neck, knocking him out. He then stuffed his mouth with the cloth ball again.

Seeing Sean’s ferocity, those who had been moving a little stopped.

"Despicable!"

Sean cursed and turned to join Elijah, saying, "Let’s deal with the people here first, then release them. Releasing them now will only attract attention from the others."

"Boss, there are still several dozen girls on the cargo ship..." Douglas said, stretching his arm.

"Let’s finish the people here first, then figure out how to get on the cargo ship!" Sean said without hesitation, "The cargo ship should not leave at night. Let’s take care of one thing at a time!"

With that, no one else spoke.

After Sean and the others left, Elijah closed the door behind him.

Sean took out a silenced pistol and handed it to Douglas, saying:

"Let’s deal with the people first, and talk about the details later!"

After giving instructions, Sean took out two pieces of chocolate and handed them to Douglas and Lincoln:

"Replenish your energy, and when the task is done, you can rest."

As Sean and Elijah were taking care of the guards at the front of the houses, Lincoln and Douglas had already snuck over.

"Let’s go, let’s deal with the people at the entrance," Sean said.

There were four people at the entrance, and Sean felt that he and Elijah couldn’t handle them all at once. If someone on that side was missed and an alarm was raised, the operation would have to change from stealth to strong assault.

That was not the result he wanted.

The four men quietly approached the entrance.

The four guards were in watchtowers on either side of the entrance.

When Sean and his men arrived, they found that the guards were equally careless. Although they weren’t asleep, their vigilance was poor.

Sean speculated that this might be due to the island being far from the mainland and having only one pier. Moreover, the pier was facing the surrounding wall and the entrance.
