Chapter 274: Chapter 232: Tea and Ruin_2

"You don’t need to come over," Sean Knight took over the walkie-talkie, "Evacuate the personnel and protect them. We can handle this side!"

Having said that, Sean handed the walkie-talkie to Elijah Hastings.

Elijah looked at Sean, and Sean nodded. Elijah then said to Lincoln Harrington:

"You heard what the boss said. You guys retreat to a safe place and hide. Wait for our news!"

Putting away the walkie-talkie, Elijah said to Sean:

"Boss, there are just two of us, and we only have two guns to deal with so many people. It’s a bit troublesome!"

Sean waved his hand and asked:

"Have you set up any mines?"

"Of course." Elijah nodded, "but..."

As Sean walked back, he said:

"Yes, I have some, of course."

Of course, he had even more powerful weapons in his spatial realm. However, the only thing he could take out now were the landmines. Of course, it was no problem to take out a few hand grenades as well.

The two quickly returned to the car, and Sean took out two boxes from under the seat.

"Here, there are two landmines in this box. You’re the professional, so you can decide how to set them up."

Then Sean opened the other box, inside of which were six hand grenades.

"Boss, isn’t this a bit too daring?" Elijah exclaimed in shock, "If anything happens to these things, we’ll be done for!"

"When I bought them, they said they were perfectly safe and wouldn’t explode if not set up," Sean said nonchalantly, "You see that the detonators are separate! Even if you shake these hand grenades hard in the foam plastic, they’re still safe."

As he said this, Sean handed three hand grenades to Elijah.

"You set up the landmines, I’m not very familiar with them."

Elijah looked at them and said:

"These are directional Glaive M18A1 mines with 700 steel balls each! They have killing power at ranges of 100-200 meters!" After taking a glance at them and looking around at the terrain, Elijah said:

"Alright, I’ve got it. Boss, these landmines need to be manually controlled. I’ll control one and then we’ll set them off simultaneously. You hide and wait for a chance to launch a sneak attack."

Elijah still wanted to ensure Sean’s safety.

Sean shook his head:

"You teach me, then. We’ll each have one. Drive the car to where there are more bushes, and we’ll guard both sides. Let’s see who’s luckier!"

Elijah didn’t expect Sean to be so bold. Seeing that Sean wasn’t joking, Elijah didn’t insist anymore and started teaching Sean how to use the landmines.

The operation was actually quite simple, and Sean learned it quickly. After practicing a few times, Elijah deemed it satisfactory and began to search for advantageous terrain around them.

"This is the place." Elijah decided upon a location, had Sean stand to one side, and drove the car over to some nearby shrubbery.

"Boss, you’ll be here. And I’ll be here." Elijah pointed at the positions, "We hide well in the bushes, not near the car, so they won’t see us."

The positions Elijah chose were quite clever, and Sean understood immediately. Even if those people shot at the car from a distance, fearing someone was inside, they wouldn’t hit the hidden individuals.

Elijah took out two of his three hand grenades and set up two tripwire booby traps on the side, then returned with a satisfied smile on his face:

"Now it’s basically foolproof."

Sean gave him two of his own three hand grenades:

"You’d be better at throwing them accurately than me."

Sean had a hunting rifle, and Elijah had a regular rifle. Both of them were also carrying pistols, so they had no shortage of firepower.

After waiting for nearly an hour, Sean finally heard the sound of car engines.

"Get ready!" Sean alerted Elijah, whose hearing wasn’t as good as his own, and pointed in the direction of the incoming cars.

Both men were at two gaps in the bushes, no more than seven or eight meters apart. At this distance, even if they whispered, they could still hear each other.

In the absence of windsand, tire tracks on Gobi Beach were very clear, so these people could find them quickly.

"Boss, who do you think leaked our whereabouts, other than Jenny? I mean, these people probably knew we were in this area long ago."

"There have been too many people who could have leaked our whereabouts along the way." Sean slowly pressed the landmine, keeping the detonator handy to trigger the explosion at any time, "If we can leave a living hostage later, we’ll find out."

Two cars drove in from a distance and stopped about twenty meters from the car.

Seven or eight people got out of the cars and began to slowly approach the car from two directions.

Through the crevices in the shrubbery, Sean could see that one team was about to face Elijah’s Glaive M18A1 landmine, while the other team was heading towards the mountainside - where Elijah had set booby traps.

No one was coming his way!

This was just plain bad luck!

"Boss, don’t worry, wait for my landmine to go off!" Elijah Hastings whispered, ready.

"Bang!"

The power of the Glaive was directly demonstrated, as the shrubbery in front was broken by steel balls!

Through the crevice, Sean Knight saw at least five or six people in both teams knocked down directly!

Not only was the team facing the blast of the landmine in its range, but even half of the team going to the mountain was affected!

The three who were lucky not to be swept by the steel balls looked a bit dazed, one of them had good tactical acumen and immediately lay down!

The other two hesitated for a second or two before reacting; one of them raised his gun and fired randomly in the direction of the landmine, the last one turned and ran!

At this point, Elijah Hastings threw a hand grenade smashing it into the middle of the three people!

"Bang!"

All three were knocked to the ground!

Sean was about to get up, but Elijah grabbed him,

"Boss, don’t rush!"

He threw another grenade, and with a "bang" and explosion, another scream was heard.

Sean had a close call; someone was playing dead!

At this time, the screams were not only in one place. Those wounded by the Glaive steel balls were also screaming.

"Boss, you wait, I’ll go check!" Elijah signaled Sean not to move, and he quickly went out like a monkey.

Sean aimed his gun at the people’s direction, being wary.

After a while, there was a sudden gunshot from the other side, and Sean was startled!

"It’s okay, Boss. You come around from that side! I’ve removed the booby traps."

Sean put away his landmine, stood up, and saw Elijah start to collect his grenade; knowing it was safe, he carried his gun and walked over.

"What just happened?"

"One of the injured ones was quite tenacious and was preparing to shoot me." Elijah put the two grenades into his backpack.

It seemed like there were no survivors. But there were none; Sean felt that safety was the most important thing.

Following Elijah to see those who were killed by the landmine, Sean felt a bit sick.

These people didn’t look like the "sieves" described in the literature, but their bodies were full of holes like broken water bags, bleeding everywhere!

Elijah first picked up a gun and examined it, then threw it away with disdain, before starting to drag the corpses together.

Sean also went to help – after experiencing several attacks, Sean didn’t feel anything about these corpses anymore.

"Boss, you don’t need to get blood on your hands." Elijah felt it was not suitable for Sean to do such a job.

"It’s okay, we’ll be faster with both of us." Sean dragged a man’s leg to the corpse pile, "It’s just that these people are really poor, not a single good gun."

Elijah shared his sentiment: "I just saw that the rifling of the guns is almost flat, at least several decades old."

Sean directly threw those guns with depleted rifling onto the corpse pile.

Elijah went to their car, opened the fuel cap, found a bucket, and poured some gasoline on the corpses before lighting them on fire.

"Boss, what about the cars?" Elijah asked.

"Burn them too. If we keep them, the traces will be too obvious. Maybe these people have someone staying behind."

The two off-road vehicles were very worn out. Elijah searched them inside and out, and apart from two cases of mineral water, there was nothing useful.

"So poor!" Elijah drove the car to the front of the corpse pile, punctured the fuel tank, and in a short while, both cars caught fire.

"Let’s go, let’s deal with this thing when we get back."

Sean still remembered the damned Jenny; if it weren’t for her, his side wouldn’t have been so troublesome!

At this time, Elijah turned on the previously turned off walkie-talkie and immediately heard the voice coming from inside:

"Captain Hastings, Captain Hastings, please respond!"

"Received!"

"How’s the situation?" Lincoln Harrington asked anxiously, "Have they arrived yet?"

"They’ve been completely wiped out." Elijah’s voice had a hint of pride, "We’re heading back now."

"Great! Then we’ll go back to the car." Lincoln, knowing it was safe, also put his heart at ease.

Sean and Elijah drove back to the campground and saw Grant Kenneth talking to Jenny, who looked reluctant.

Did this woman really not realize her mistake?
