Chapter 235: Chapter 212: Not everyone has my vision!

Sean and Joanna had lunch at Jason’s freight yard at noon - the meal was prepared and delivered by Freya.

Everyone happily tucked into the authentic potato beef rice, including Elijah, Lincoln, and Douglas who were also present.

As always, Douglas was overly chatty upon seeing Freya, yet she ignored him, promptly left after delivering the food.

After eating, Sean made his way towards Ralph’s suggested address at a leisurely pace, allowing Joanna to digest.

Ralph had mentioned there were six and four containers respectively at two freight yards for auction, and naturally, Sean chose the one with more containers.

It was a long walk and there weren’t many people around at that time of day.

As they turned a secluded corner near the freight yard, two black hoodlums, armed with daggers, stopped Sean:

"Hey! Yellow-skinned monkey! Leave everything you got, including this treasure, and scram! Don’t make me use my blade!"

The other gangster ogled Joanna and chuckled:

"Honey! You have bad taste! How can this yellow monkey satisfy you? Why not come with me and know what satisfaction really means?"

Before the hoodlum could even finish his sentence, Sean punched him straight in the face, knocking out four of his front teeth - the force was so strong, the man swallowed them!

Reacting to his friend’s plight, the other hoodlum let out a loud yell and lunged at Sean with his knife, causing Joanna to cover her mouth in fright!

Sean had already anticipated the move, he sidestepped the knife and a quick chop to his assailant’s throat silenced him!

The hoodlum went down clutching his throat!

The other one, despite missing his front teeth, still attempted a sneak attack. Joanna reacted just in time to kick him in the groin, causing him to scream and collapse!

Sean immediately pulled Joanna by her hand and ran. They didn’t stop until they were near the freight yard’s entrance where they burst out in laughter after sharing a glance!

This brush with danger lightened their moods considerably.

However, Sean knew he had been careless and immediately phoned Elijah and Lincoln to join them.

Upon entering the freight yard, Sean was rather surprised to find familiar faces like Diana and the Joey brothers.

Old Mr. Madden was still absent, probably at Jason’s place.

Upon seeing Sean, Diana cast a flirtatious glance in his direction, completely oblivious to Joanna’s presence.

"Skank!" Joanna erupted in anger, and then, feeling a little apologetic, she glanced at Sean. Sean just chuckled, wrapping Jenny closer. She immediately felt reassured.

Elder Joey seemed a bit annoyed at seeing Sean but didn’t say anything, though George Joey came over and greeted willingly:

"Sean, long time no see, heard you went treasure hunting?"

"Yes, helping someone." Sean bluntly stated, ending the conversation there, "I heard you guys made a fortune recently?"

Unable to pry any information, George Joey vaguely replied:

"Nah, we didn’t have your luck, ended up incurring some losses."

Both understood each other’s words held hidden meanings.

Six containers were lined up, each separated by a gap of around twenty meters.

Glancing over them, Sean was pleasantly surprised to find some valuable items!

The first container was a brand new mini bowling setup, complete with balls. At least worth thirty-five to fifty thousand dollars here.

The entrance of the container was blocked by two large cardboard boxes. Looking inside through a crevice, one could hardly see anything - a good gamble.

The second container held ordinary items like second-hand car parts. Sean didn’t know much about these things.

However, everything in this container was kept in plain sight without much room for profit.

The third container held fishing nets and equipment upfront. Sean had auctioned these off at the warehouse before and knew they weren’t cheap.

More importantly, at the back, there was a small yacht, which seemed pretty new!

The yacht was blocked by paper boxes and covered by waterproof cloth, making it practically invisible from outside. Sean decided to take a gamble!

The fourth container had potted plants and furniture, which Sean guessed were specifically made for office spaces.

The wood looked like rosewood on the outside, but Sky Eye showed it was just a collage of different types of wood with faux wood texture paper and paint applied, he didn’t get excited.

The fifth and sixth were open-door containers. One was filled with used solid wood furniture and personal belongings while the other was piled with second-hand clothes.

Scanning with Sky Eye, none of the items appeared to be of significant value, so Sean ignored them.

As Elijah and Lincoln hurried to join, Sean signaled they needn’t come over and could keep watch from a distance.

Having experienced a jungle expedition together, the two quickly understood Sean’s directive and found inconspicuous spots from where they guarded vigilantly.

By then, the bald auctioneer and his assistant had arrived and opened the first container for viewing.

Joanna softly asked Sean:

"Should we bid?"

"Yes! As long as it doesn’t exceed 20,000 dollars, go for it!"

Sean whispered in Joanna’s ear, causing her cheeks to redden instantly and her body to soften a little.

She cast a glare at Sean, but her grip on Sean’s arm tightened considerably.

The bald auctioneer began the auction with a starting price of 200 dollars. Just as Diana offered a thousand dollars, Joanna immediately raised her hand:
