Chapter 1370: Chapter 670: A Fierce Life Needs No Explanation!

"Hello, my name is Andrew," said the foreigner as he pushed his translator aside, speaking in not-so-fluent English.

"Our boss heard that you’ve dug up something, and as you might know, before these ’Diggers’ have completely unearthed something, no one can guarantee that what’s inside is really worth a lot of money..."

The translator was quite eloquent, persuasively saying to Sean Knight:

"If you’ve dug up something valuable, then you’ve struck it rich. But what if what’s unearthed is disappointing? Wouldn’t that be very upsetting?"

"Our boss specializes in solving such problems! Look, you’ve already dug up quite a few things. But these items... they’re not really worth much. Just that pile over there..."

The translator pointed at the mishmash of firearms, parts, and other random items, with a clear look of disdain on his face:

"Those things, at most, are worth several tens of thousands of dollars!"

"But, there might be other things down there still," Viola couldn’t help but retort back.

"Little Viola! Didn’t expect you to be with this Chinese wealthy merchant? Our boss has tried to invite you to his villa several times. Why haven’t you agreed? Besides, this isn’t your place to speak. You’d better shut up, otherwise... Think about your mother..."

That translator actually threatened Viola right in front of Sean Knight!

Several team members could no longer bear it, but were held back by Elijah Hastings and the others.

"Now, Viola is my employee," Sean Knight said expressionlessly, "If you want to deal with me, it’s better to be polite."

The translator’s face changed faster than flipping through a book, he immediately put on a smile and said:

"Alright, alright. Let’s not talk about Viola’s affairs. What I want to say is, you see, you’ve found a place that could be a warehouse, or it could just be a temporary repair spot.

Therefore, my boss wants to take a gamble with you. He’s willing to pay five hundred thousand dollars to buy the spot you’ve just unearthed.

You can take the money, go enjoy life in the metropolis with your Viola, while my boss takes on the risk. How about it?"

"Not very tempting," Sean Knight shook his head and said, "I’m interested in the deal you mentioned, but you’re seriously lacking sincerity—five hundred thousand? That’s too little!

If what I’ve unearthed turns out to be a complete warehouse, the contents wouldn’t just be worth five hundred thousand, not to mention a million dollars!"

"Yeah! Boss, don’t agree to it!" Viola, still somewhat childish, spoke up with her head held high.

"Viola, I think this isn’t a good time for you to speak up, your voice should sound best on the bed—" The translator glanced at Viola with a joke:

"Didn’t Sergei who introduced you here teach you what’s the bare minimum of manners?"

Viola was so angry that her chest heaved violently. She turned her head to look at Sean Knight, but he didn’t speak up to support her this time.

Viola lowered her head, feeling a mix of disappointment and shame. Indeed, she had overstepped her bounds.

"Fifty thousand isn’t enough? We can negotiate!" The translator, seeing an opening for discussion, immediately smiled again: "I think, sir, you must be aware that on this land, we have a large presence of diggers. Every day, a plethora of World War II era items are being unearthed.

These things were worth something at the beginning, but now, only boutique items are valuable; ordinary items are just slightly better than the trash at landfill sites.

Therefore, even though my boss is wealthy, he can’t just gamble recklessly!"

"Then it looks like we have no deal—business is business, after all," Sean Knight said, unswayed by his words, waving his hand dismissively:

"I need a proper price, otherwise I can’t explain it to our team members.

If your offer meets my expectations, we can make the transaction now. Otherwise, I’m going to continue excavating!"

He turned his head to look at Elijah Hastings:

"How much have we unearthed in this Underground Space?"

"We’re in the process of clearing it," said Elijah Hastings. "We have about one-third left of such items in this underground space.

As for whether there are other spaces, we’ll only know once this space is cleared."

Sean Knight nodded, then spoke to Andrew and the translator:

"Alright, we’re about to start working. If you’re not planning to make another offer, please leave. I know that excavation is a rather private affair, so we don’t need others here."

With that said by Sean Knight, the translator seemed troubled as he began to converse with Andrew.

"He says they can up the offer first. If it’s not worth that much, they have ways to make us cough up the money!" Viola, while watching the translator, leaned closer to Sean Knight’s ear and whispered.

"How do you know?" Sean Knight was surprised.

"I learned lip-reading," Viola whispered. "I can tell what they’re planning...

Andrew has stated that within a budget of 2 million dollars, as long as we secure this warehouse, the translator will get a bonus. Anything below 2 million, will all belong to the translator."

Sean Knight nodded in acknowledgment.

After listening to Andrew, delight washed over the translator’s face, then he quickly said to Sean Knight:

"Sir, my boss understands your position and he admires you, so he’s made an exceptional offer! 1.8 million dollars, and if you agree, the money can be yours right now, cash transaction!"
