Chapter 1366: Chapter 668: This is Also a Big Fish!_3

Suddenly, Sean Knight stood up excitedly, holding something in his hand and shouting something at the others.

The object was relatively small, and the drone, flying too high, couldn’t discern it clearly, so it continued to descend and zoomed in on the image, trying to figure out what it was.

The drone’s cameras failed to notice that the tent where Douglas Cooper was staying had a window opened, and the muzzle of a gun emerged, aiming right at the drone!

Douglas Cooper waited until the drone descended to a certain altitude and stabilized, then he smiled at the corner of his mouth and steadily pulled the trigger!

He pulled it twice!

The drone wobbled and then plummeted to the ground!

The man controlling the drone’s face changed color, and he furiously slammed the remote control onto the ground!

Damnit!

Although he didn’t see what had happened, he was absolutely certain that the drone had been shot down!

Clearly aware of the quality of the drones he purchased, he knew whether it was machinery or weaponry, both were industry-leading in China!

Upon seeing the fallen drone, Sean Knight immediately ordered his team members to find and retrieve it, and after it was recovered, he removed the storage card.

Sean Knight hadn’t thoroughly inspected the last storage card, and now with another one in hand, he simply returned to his tent, plugged the storage card into the notebook, and started to watch.

Meanwhile, the team members continued to dig in the direction instructed by Sean Knight—what Sean Knight had found recently was just an act. What he was holding was nothing more than a rotten pistol left with only a frame!

To Sean Knight’s surprise, the two storage cards actually contained a large quantity of videos of the Diggers’ work!

Clearly, these two persons had been surveilling not just for one day or two, nor were they monitoring just one or two Digger organizations!

He quickly skimmed through the videos, noting that what the Diggers had typically unearthed were clumsy weapon remnants, parts of armored tanks and vehicles, and some other military equipment.

But mostly, they were just bits and pieces.

After viewing both storage cards, Sean Knight finally made a new discovery.

Some of the videos were quite large. Sean Knight opened them to find that these videos were shot from various angles by the drone—though the Diggers were quite vigilant, they were not prepared for high-altitude, high-resolution surveillance by drones.

The first video showed a group of Diggers entering a mountain cave—thoroughly camouflaged to the point that ordinary people wouldn’t notice, but it didn’t escape the search of the metal detector.

As these individuals entered the cave, the drone began to descend, closely observing the terrain near the entrance. Then the ground shook slightly, and smoke began to emerge from the cave entrance.

Sean Knight guessed something must have been detonated inside the cave. Not long afterward, two individuals scrambled out in a sorry state, each holding a package, which was wrapped in cloth with one corner peeking out.

Sean Knight saw clearly that the objects glistened, likely gold items.

The two didn’t get far after crawling out of the cave before it collapsed.

The drone followed the two individuals as they returned to the highway about one kilometer from the mountain cave and then watched as they got into a car, fleeing in a cloud of dust.

Sean Knight suspected there must still be something inside the cave, but it was unclear if anyone had continued excavating it afterward.

Checking the date on the videos, they were from just a few days prior!

Sean Knight had two theories: one was that the cave should be near this area. The second was that the cave likely hadn’t been searched again yet.

However, these were only guesses, after all, the clues were too scant.

Another video was more gruesome. A gang of Diggers unearthed about a dozen boxes from a marshland. Upon opening the boxes, they found a mess—shells, pistols, and other assorted items that shouldn’t have been mixed together.

Then, when one of the boxes was opened, the opener exclaimed as what should have been in an ammunition box were various gold and silver coins, gemstone jewelry, and other valuables.

Following this exclamation, the others quickly gathered around. Someone held up a coin, rinsed it in water, and then whooped in delight, even putting the coin in their mouth and biting down hard to verify its authenticity.

Then, unexpectedly, the recording drone adjusted its position and dropped an object about the size of a fist!

The object fell right into the midst of the jubilant crowd below!

With a boom, those people were caught off guard and flung by the blast wave; a few of them were knocked unconscious on the spot—or perhaps killed outright.

Those few who could move struggled to crawl elsewhere. However, the drone dropped another hand grenade, and with the ensuing explosion, no one moved again.

Afterward, the drone hovered as someone appeared at the site, delivered finishing shots to those on the ground, and then started collecting the scattered valuables.

About fifteen minutes later, after having picked up the valuables, the person looked up at the drone, gave a thumbs up, followed by an "OK" gesture, and then left with the items.

Sean Knight noted that face—it wasn’t Sedding.

Therefore, it’s highly possible that this individual was Sedding’s accomplice and likely the owner of the drone that had just been shot down!

If they were to meet again, Sean Knight was certain he’d be able to recognize this person!

She was a beautiful woman.

There was yet another strange video in the storage card. This time the drone’s flight time was relatively short, yet it captured a somewhat surprising segment.

The woman who had picked up the items earlier was now embracing another man as they left a courtyard. After kissing goodbye, the woman sent the man on his way, and then dragged a box out from the courtyard.

This box was clearly heavy. The woman dragged it out, hid it in a pile of garbage at the corner of the courtyard, covered it with other building materials, and camouflaged it seamlessly.

Anyone looking would think it was just a pile of rubble waiting to be cleared away.

Sean Knight felt his worldviews were being challenged—he had thought Sedding and the woman might be an item.

Had he guessed wrong, or was it possible that the woman was cheating on him?

Of course, he came here with the attitude of watching a drama unfold.

At that moment, noisy voices came from outside.

Sean Knight closed the notebook and went out to see what was happening.
