Chapter 1308: Chapter 649: All No Good!_2

"How do you know Groove?"

His first question had successfully angered the girl, but fortunately, Sean Knight effortlessly used his spiritual energy to calm her emotions.

"We met at a wine reception. He lied to me about wanting to marry me and then slept with me. I never imagined that not only does he have a wife, but he also has countless mistresses..."

"Where does he live?"

Even though Sean Knight knew Groove lived in that villa, he needed to verify that the information he was getting from the girl was true.

"The villa on Long Island, Manhattan, near Times Square..."

What Sean Knight hadn’t expected was that Groove owned more than one property in New York and that the place he stayed at wasn’t fixed.

The locations of these properties were all places where Groove’s mistresses or his wife’s family members lived.

This revelation surprised Sean Knight.

Fortunately, he had followed the girl here; otherwise, he might have been at a loss.

"During the daytime, he mostly spends his time in the office near Times Square, but the exact location is rarely known to anyone. At night, he randomly stays at one of his own villas," the girl continued.

"Where is he most likely to be staying tonight?" Sean Knight asked another question.

He didn’t think the girl would know, but asking didn’t cost anything.

"Tonight, there will be a wine reception here," the girl’s face showed a complicated expression again, "Groove will entertain his friends at this villa..."

As the girl spoke, her emotions started to fluctuate, and Sean Knight guessed that the girl must still have feelings for Groove or perhaps Groove hadn’t invited her, causing her to have such thoughts.

After asking her, it turned out to be true.

"...I’m here to hook up with handsome men, essentially to piss off Groove, but he doesn’t react at all to my actions, that impotent bastard!"

The girl’s tone was very indignant at the end; this must have been her true feelings from the heart.

Sean Knight asked the girl whom Groove had invited, and she mentioned a few names, but it was vague.

Sean Knight had a good idea of the situation.

Originally, he had thought of having the girl take him to crash Groove’s wine reception, but after some thought, he decided against it.

He had already obtained a good deal of information from the girl and was in her debt. If he let the girl take him into Groove’s home, and if things went as planned, the Sharde family would certainly retaliate against the girl.

Although the girl appeared promiscuous, she was also a woman of unfortunate and sincere sentiment.

Sean Knight touched a few points on the girl, causing her face to flush with color, and she unconsciously caressed her sensitive areas.

Sean Knight then got up and left.

Upon leaving the villa, he entered a forest, and by the time he came out, Sean Knight had changed his clothes and altered his facial appearance, making it impossible for that girl, even standing in front of him, to recognize him.

Sean Knight changed his backpack and continued walking in this area. This time, he stayed a bit farther from Groove’s villa, pondering how he could blend into the evening reception.

With many people at the reception, it was bound to be chaotic. This would be the best opportunity to take out Groove.

While he was thinking, Sean Knight suddenly heard someone shouting from behind:

"Excuse me, sir, please stop!"

Sean Knight turned in surprise and saw a female police officer not far behind him. Further away, there was a police car parked, and a male policeman was buying coffee and hot dogs at a nearby supermarket.

The female officer, upon seeing Sean Knight turn around, realized he was not the same handsome man she had seen before and looked somewhat disappointed.

However, seeing Sean Knight’s appearance now, still presenting a handsome and attractive young man, she approached him and asked:

"Sir, do you need any help?"

The male officer came over with two cups of coffee and was surprised to hear the female officer talking like this.

Normally, this beautiful female officer would reject other people’s advances; why would she offer her help today?

After all, during her patrols in the area, she had never been one to show favor to others!

"Thank you, I’m just strolling around," Sean Knight said, not wanting to deal with the police. Although he had changed his appearance, it was hard to say whether there might be any slip-ups in the details.

If he stayed around the police for too long, who knew what problems might arise.

"No problem," the female officer said with some disappointment, always feeling she had seen Sean Knight’s expressions and walking posture somewhere before, but his face was completely unfamiliar.

With his backpack, Sean Knight quickly left the scene, while the male officer handed the coffee to the female officer:

"Are you interested in him?"

"Stop talking nonsense," the female officer’s face blushed slightly, "I just thought I’d seen him somewhere before."

The two officers got into the car, and by this time, Sean Knight had already turned to the back of another villa.

This place was too dangerous; he decided to leave first and come back later in the evening.

At noon, Sean Knight got in touch with Elijah Hastings and the others, and found out that the intelligence they had acquired wasn’t much. Groove was quite cautious as a person. Although he had a bad reputation, that was confined to certain circles.

Elijah and the others gained their information through business channels and knew that even Groove’s office locations were unpredictable, and no one dared to say whether he would still be in the same spot the next day.

Although other members of the Sharde family were easy to find in New York, because they were also in a rather special circle, the information they could gather was not extensive.

It was only then that Sean Knight realized that without Robert, trying to get anything done was indeed not easy.
