Chapter 1250: Chapter 630: What a Coincidence
Since the war had begun, Sean Knight put aside other thoughts for the time being.
The other information he had obtained from Pang Du was that, apart from the Davena family Tribe Leader and a very few elders, the rest of the clan members were unaware of the locations of more warehouses.
Each was responsible for their own section, and no one interfered with one another.
They also wouldn’t go out of their way to inquire about additional information. After all, similar incidents had happened within the Davena family before, and were then dealt with by the Tribe Leader using the family rules.
It was very strict.
Pang Du also knew the approximate locations of a few other core members from the same family across various continents, but like Pang Du, they were all nomadic, not exactly homeless, but they would not stay in one place for long.
So, Sean Knight had no immediate plans to seek out anyone else.
Moreover, it was quite obvious that Pang Du had intentions towards Aria Wilson.
Thus, Sean Knight simply planned to stay by Aria’s side and, after some time, take her directly back to China.
It was safer there.
This morning, Abdullah had Sean Knight and Aria Wilson come to the King’s Palace.
"How does your country view the current situation?" Abdullah asked very directly.
However, Sean fully understood this point. As a country nearby the situation, Abdullah naturally wanted to understand the attitudes of the major powers.
Now, it was quite clear that the Americans would definitely support his elder brother.
So, China’s attitude was crucial.
Sean thought, how could I be clear about the country’s stance? I’m not part of the senior management.
However, he naturally couldn’t say that. He said, laughing,
"Hasn’t the spokesperson of our country’s foreign ministry made our stance clear already? We don’t hit others, nor will we let anyone hit us."
"Don’t fob me off with those official lines," Abdullah glared at Sean, "I mean the actual attitude."
"We naturally do not wish for war. But decades ago, a great man said at the foundation of our country, as for our attitude in dealing with other countries, we will not directly interfere with the internal affairs of other countries," Sean also spoke earnestly:
"We definitely will not express support for either side. After all, at the moment, it’s mainly the common people who are getting hurt."
Seeing that he was getting nowhere with Sean, Abdullah sighed and said,
"The countries surrounding us have a rather unanimous attitude right now..."
"That’s normal." Sean said, laughing, "You support yours, actually, you don’t need to mind ours. We also have sympathy for your friends..."
Abdullah’s eyes lit up and he asked,
"Can we not move the composite brigade..."
"Don’t even think about it." Sean said firmly, "The main function of this brigade is to protect the Royal City, to protect you all. If you move this brigade over there, without anyone else saying it, the Americans will definitely jump out and accuse our country of getting involved. This is a matter of principle."
"Ah, I knew it would be like this..." Abdullah actually aimed for this primarily. Sean guessed that it wasn’t even Abdullah’s idea, but rather the probing of some radicals.
But this was a door that absolutely could not be opened.
On the surface, the brigade could be considered a Mercenary Army. But anyone in politics knew that when this brigade was formed, it was branded with China’s mark.
Indelible.
"Then, weapons..."
"That I don’t care about," Sean Knight spread his arms and leaned back on the sofa, "those things are available Around the World, and you can’t ban them..."
"I Understand!" Abdullah’s eyes lit up, "Anything goes?"
Sean laughed and said,
"As long as you can transport it. Anyway, my people definitely can’t be involved; the moment they are, it becomes leverage for others..."
"I know, I know." Although Abdullah was the Crown Prince, he didn’t put on any airs in front of Sean and talked to him as he would a brother or family member. He said, laughing,
"Actually, if they weren’t so easily recognizable, I’d really want to send some people from the brigade out there to let those people see...what elite troops are!"
Sean knew that Abdullah treasured this brigade greatly, not only treasuring it but also taking pride in it—because of the combat ability of the brigade. Of course, it couldn’t be mentioned domestically, as some aspects of informatization could not compare with the domestic ones. Besides, they weren’t of the same age as the draftable ones back home.
But placed in the Middle East, the brigade truly was unique.
After discussing the serious matters, Abdullah then asked Aria,
"How have you been feeling recently? Is there anything you need?"
It had to be said, the performance of this big brother-in-law was not bad. At least it was better than what Sean had seen from some of the elders.
"No, there’s nothing. Everything is accounted for; I don’t need anything," Aria, who was holding Sean’s arm, smiled and quietly watched Abdullah and Sean discussing serious matters.
Although she didn’t understand much, she felt quite proud—she occasionally knew about her brother hosting meetings. At those times, some elders would be left speechless by Abdullah’s arguments.
But now, it was clear that Sean was the one leading the conversation.
She was very proud and very pleased.
"Shall I arrange an airplane for you to travel around a bit?" Abdullah didn’t immediately go to arrange tasks but instead inquired further, "It’s said that moving around is beneficial for the fetus."
"No need," Sean shook his head, "We’ll stay a few more days, then head back to China. It’s too hot here, and the situation nearby isn’t good. It is safer to go to China."
As he said this, Abdullah didn’t get angry but instead nodded in agreement:
