Chapter 1248: Chapter 629 The Next Target is in the War Zone_2
Although Aria was not Sean Knight’s first woman, she was the first to carry his child. As she herself embodies the obedient demeanor of feudal era females, this indeed made Sean cherish her even more—any man with a strong sense of male chauvinism would understand why.
So most of the time, he kept company with Aria in the King’s Palace, listening to her occasional gossip.
Although boring, it was actually quite interesting.
"...Tahali’s new suitor is called Pang Du Davena, said to be a low-key core member of the Davena family. Although he’s not an Arab, he’s willing to live with Tahali and follow our beliefs..."
At this, Aria glanced at Sean.
Sean, laughing, shook his head and said,
"You also know, some things are not quite realistic for me."
Aria was a bit disappointed, but she still said understandingly,
"I know. However, that Pang Du is rumored to have been quite a playboy, but he seems to have been pretty well-behaved this period of time..."
In fact, Sean had already paid attention just now. This Pang Du Davena was likely that man from the Davena family, right?
If he was a core member, would he know the locations of the other warehouses of the Davena family?
"Is that Pang Du currently in the Royal City?" Sean asked as if it were a casual inquiry.
"Yes. He is pursuing Tahali now and has been in the Royal City this whole time," replied Aria.
Then Aria started talking about other matters.
Sean had seen Tahali before. She was Uncle Abdullah’s daughter and among all of Aria’s sisters, her beauty was on par with Aria’s—both unquestionably stunning.
Because she was so beautiful, and her father an elder of the Kingdom, Tahali’s love life had been rather tumultuous. Her relationships always ended when she found the men were after her money and her father’s power.
In this relatively conservative society, her reputation could hardly be good.
Fortunately, her sisters actually knew the truth and did not isolate her. Now that Tahali had a new suitor, a young man from a rather powerful family, at least Aria viewed it rather positively.
If she was happy, naturally, she wished the same for her sisters.
Sean stopped discussing this issue and opened his mobile phone, letting Aria pick out some baby products.
This was one of the happier moments during their time together.
Looking forward to the life of becoming parents was indeed something to look forward to.
The second day, at the night’s gathering, Sean encountered this young man named Pang Du.
Pang Du was twenty-four, handsome, with deep-set eyes and a high nose bridge, light blue eyes, and although not very tall, his face had a hint of a roguish grin, somewhat mischievous, which was quite attractive to girls.
Even though he was constantly by Tahali’s side, it was clear that several girls at the party had their eyes on him.
Of course, that was before Sean appeared.
After Sean’s arrival, most of those gazes were drawn away toward him.
Compared to Pang Du’s handsomeness, Sean’s allure was greater—mysterious Eastern charm, coupled with the enhancement from the energy, made him even more charismatic.
If there were a data panel, Sean’s charm would probably be maxed out.
Sean stayed by Aria’s side. Originally, Aria did not really want to come, but Sean convinced her that it was important to attend some social events from time to time to stay connected with society. Additionally, though she was pregnant, she should not focus all her attention on the child.
Aria, always obedient, agreed to come to the gathering.
Sean was sincere in his advice. Being pregnant wasn’t a grave illness, and staying indoors due to pregnancy would only invite sickness.
After greeting Aria’s sisters, Sean felt a gaze fixated on him.
Unlike the adoring, even possessive looks from the girls earlier, this gaze clearly carried a tinge of malice.
Sean looked up and saw that it was indeed Pang Du.
Pang Du had not expected Sean to notice him so quickly and a flash of panic crossed his eyes before he quickly nodded with a smile at Sean, a form of greeting, then turned away and started whispering to Tahali.
Although Tahali claimed to her sisters that she was still testing Pang Du, based on tonight’s events, it was clear she already considered him her official boyfriend.
"Who is that man?" Pang Du whispered to Tahali, "Is the woman beside him his wife?"
"The man is Sean Knight, and the woman is my sister Aria, Crown Prince Abdullah’s sister," Tahali naively introduced them, "They married this year, and it’s said she’s carrying twins, how wonderful!"
As Tahali spoke, her eyes sparkled with envy.
Pang Du thought it was a pity—if he had met Aria earlier and become the brother-in-law to the Crown Prince, he would have had many more conveniences in this Kingdom—
Though being Tahali’s husband wasn’t a bad position, it was still inferior to being the Crown Prince’s brother-in-law, the future King’s brother-in-law.
And, in his view, Aria was even more alluring than Tahali.
"Is that Sean Knight Chinese? How did he meet Aria? Don’t Chinese people usually lack faith?" Pang Du asked with feigned surprise.
Tahali shook her head and said,
"I don’t know the specifics, but Abdullah trusts Sean a lot. Sean has even been managing an oil field in the South of the Kingdom, and he himself is a billionaire. He treats Aria very well."
