Chapter 1056: 565

Three days later, Crown Prince Abdullah sent an envoy, inviting Sean Knight to Capital City for a meeting, and also requested Aria Wilson to return with him.

Sean was somewhat puzzled, however, since they were the landlords, he thought since they asked him to come, he might as well go.

Making money on someone else’s domain, it does not shame one to bow one’s head when it is timely to do so.

"My brother... my brother..." Aria suddenly became nervous.

"Don’t worry, I’ve got this." Seeing Aria, who was usually passionate and unrestrained in the bedroom, suddenly become nervous, Sean smiled, wrapped his arm around her waist, and said, "I’ll talk to your brother."

If one has acted, one must take responsibility.

Sean left Elijah Hastings in charge of the camp, and Douglas Cooper was tasked with patrolling, while he, along with Lincoln Harrington and four security personnel, took two off-road vehicles and headed for the Capital City.

Upon arriving at the King’s Palace, Aria went in first, and Sean was brought to the reception room.

"The Crown Prince is currently meeting with an ambassador from another country, he will be here later," said the Servant tending to Sean, "Please, guest, wait a moment."

Sean nodded.

About 10 minutes later, Abdullah arrived at the reception room.

"Mr. Knight, I am very pleased to see you again!" Abdullah greeted with a smile, attempting to be composed, yet it was clear that he had prepared for this meeting.

"I am pleased as well," Sean rose to shake hands with Abdullah, saying, "Thank you for your support to us."

"No, no, no, it is I who should be thanking you!" Abdullah waved his hands, "If it were not for you, I would not even have known someone was bold enough to do that, nor would I have understood how some people see our sovereign country as so weak..."

Sean did not continue the topic; after all, wasn’t that obvious? In the eyes of certain superpowers, those smaller nations were just there to be bullied whenever they felt like it, weren’t they?

But such thoughts were not to be openly expressed.

"Mr. Knight, due to this incident, I have sent people to attend your country’s Air Show happening this time, we hope to establish close military cooperation with your country’s leaders..." Abdullah continued.

Sean smiled.

It was like having a senior paving the way for them! After all, 3.5 billion was not spent in vain that year!

"I have asked you here because I want to inquire about the desert characteristic industry you mentioned last time." Abdullah went on, "After our last discussion, I had people research a great deal of documents. I found that in your country, indeed, there are contents about Desert transformation, those places have truly been turned into oases, it’s a miracle!

Moreover, I also heard that your country has cultivated rice in desert saline-alkali soil and beside the sea, can I introduce these technologies here?"

Sean shook his head and said,

"I can ask about the desert greening for you. As for the cultivation of rice in saline land and ’sea rice’, I am not sure, I can inquire for you, but I cannot guarantee success."

"That’s already very kind of you!" Abdullah spoke with a smile, "Oh, may I ask you to take charge of this matter? To hold a specific position in our country just to handle this..."

"I cannot." Sean flatly refused, joking, he wasn’t even holding any position domestically, he was just thinking about living freely, to go wherever his fancy took him, how could he possibly be tied down here?

Seeing Sean’s refusal, Abdullah looked somewhat disappointed.

Sean, smiling, said,

"I have oil fields here, so I will definitely come often. I will find for you experts in controlling desertification, and you can listen to their advice. If you indeed find it feasible, then you can hire a workforce to undertake the project."

In this country, the national welfare is exceptionally high, and it is rather unlikely for ordinary people to take on such a task. Besides, the country had money; two of the world’s top thirty largest oil fields were controlled by the Kingdom’s royal family, so they had plenty of money.

"Furthermore, regarding the rice, I can ask for you, but I cannot promise the outcome," Sean continued, "It also depends on your sincerity."

"We do have sincerity!" Abdullah immediately understood, "We may not understand the technology, but we have plenty of sincerity, really a lot!"

That would do, Sean thought, smiling.

"There’s another matter," Abdullah hesitated.

"Just say whatever it is," Sean said generously, thinking Abdullah was referring to some difficulty the Kingdom was facing, so he said generously, "If I can help, I will do my best."

"It’s about my sister Aria and you..." Abdullah began, but stopped mid-sentence, just looking at Sean.

Startled, Sean then gave a wry smile, not expecting Abdullah to suddenly change the topic in the middle of the conversation.

But on second thought, it made sense; to the Arab royal family, this was indeed the "serious matter," wasn’t it?

"We are together," Sean said earnestly, nodding, "I like her and she likes me, we are together."

"So... As I know, Mr. Knight, you have had several girlfriends," Abdullah’s expression became grave, "What are your thoughts on matters of the heart?"

"I am a scumbag," Sean suddenly declared, "I have liked all those girls. This, I believe, has something in common with the laws of your country, doesn’t it?"

Abdullah was taken aback.

Indeed, the laws of their country, or rather their doctrine, allowed a man to take four wives.
