Rise of The Demon General -
Chapter 235. Chased by the Horde
Chapter 235: Chapter 235. Chased by the Horde
Five students and two teachers were motionless as they watched what was happening inside the cavern.
One of the Jue Apes suddenly let out a howl. It took out its manhood, which was still dripping with semen. Another Jue Ape nearby took over and inserted its erect penis into the woman’s vagina.
"Te... Teacher Gao Xi...? Help...! Help...!!"
Yong Ling and the others turned to the voice and saw a seventh woman in a darkened corner. This woman was one they knew, Wu Chun. Compared to the others, she was only half naked. Her torn clothes hung loosely from different parts of her body. She was being held by three Jue Apes. Two were pinning his arms and upper body on the ground. The third one was behind her, pounding her vigorously.
When Wu Chun called Gao Xi, one of the Jue Apes noticed the humans peeking from the entrance. It pointed at these humans and uttered a weird but loud howl. The other Jue Apes saw them too, then.
The howl broke them from their trance. Wu Di was the first to act.
"Bastard...!!" He shouted. His body shot at the nearest Jue Apes, who didn’t stop fucking even after noticing the trespassers. His fist landed hard on that Jue Ape’s head. His Ignition Fist exploded. The impact threw the beast crashing into the wall.
A nearby Jue Ape lunged at Wu Di. But before it hit Wu Di, a light flashed past its head. After the flash, the Jue Ape was still. That was because a long and slender sword had penetrated its skull. The hand that held the sword belonged to Xa Jien.
Tuang Yin also acted. Her hands were aflame. The flames formed a shape resembling an eagle as it crashed into another Jue Ape. The Jue Ape howled in pain as Tuang Yin’s eagle claw art left long, burning wounds along its body. The wounds weren’t deep because Tuang Yin was still at the Peak Strength Stage, but the fire burning those open wounds was excruciating. The Jue Ape had to let go of the woman it was raping to fight Tuang Yin.
"Gao Xi, you help Wu Chun!" Yong Ling instructed. The spear in her hand went ablaze. A tongue of fire swirled around the spear while a concentrated flame gusted from the tip of the spear. This flame formed a long lance, making the spear twice its original length.
She lunged forward and swung the flaming spear. The swing caused a torrent of fire that swept a large area. The flames didn’t burn the students who had charged ahead. They were as if alive. They swerved around the students and slashed into the Jue Apes. The flames also avoided touching the naked women. The burnt Jue Apes jumped back while shouting in agony.
Once the Jue Apes retreated, Yong Ling thrust her spear multiple times. Multiple spear energies charged toward the Jue Apes. Some Jue Apes were stabbed. The parts that were stabbed were obliterated, leaving gaping holes. These Jue Apes either died instantly or were maimed. The remaining Jue Apes ran and were spared from getting stabbed. The spear energies that missed the Jue Apes hit the wall behind and caused large holes.
Gao Xi went to save Wu Chun. He thrust his two arms forward, and two steel chains shot out from inside the long sleeves of his coat. A steel blade was at the end of the steel chains. One of the chains stabbed into the back of a Jue Ape’s head before it could react.
The other Jue Ape dodged the second chain. Gao Xi waved his hand, and the chain flew to the side. The chain caught the fleeing Jue Ape and coiled around its neck. Gao Xi pulled. The chain that curled around the neck tightened. The chain started to glisten. If one looked closely, one would see small blades appear on the surface of the chains. These small blades slid around, effectively turning the chain into a saw. Within a second, the chain saw through the Jue Ape’s neck. Its head popped out of its body.
With the two Jue Apes gone, Wu Chun could move again. She jerked up and slammed into the Jue Ape that was still riding her from behind. She then picked up a large rock and used it to smack the Jue Ape’s head. She continued slamming the rock into the Jue Ape until its head was a complete mess of broken skull, flesh, and brain. She was yelling hysterically while doing that.
In a short while, all the Jue Apes inside the cavern were dead. The women were non-responsive. The ones who were not unconscious just stared with blank eyes. Wu Di and the other students didn’t know what to do with these women. Wu Chun finally calmed herself down. She took a spare dress from her space ring and wore it.
Sounds of inhuman hollering resounded throughout the cave. Whatever was making the sounds sounded a lot. They also sounded nearby.
Yong Ling ran to the tunnel outside the cavern. She looked in the direction the sounds were coming from. She popped a pill into her mouth. It was another Cat-eye pill but a high-tier one. This pill let her see further in the dark. Her eyes bulged from the sight.
"Grab the women! We must flee this cave, now...!!" She shouted.
Everyone heard the urgency in her voice. They didn’t waste time asking what she saw. Wu Di took out two blankets. He wrapped those blankets over two women and carried the two on his shoulders. Tuang Yin did the same. She carried one woman. Wei Cao, Lin Fung, and Xa Jien also carry one each, but they didn’t bother to cover the women with anything.
"Let’s go!" Gao Xi told Wu Chun.
"Go! I will hold the rear," Yong Ling told them when they came out. "Gao Xi, you take care of the front. Bring the students out!"
Gao Xi was not happy getting repeatedly commanded by Yong Ling. But considering the situation, he didn’t argue. He ran in the direction where they came from. They left markings to tell them how to leave this cave. They were now following these markings.
As they ran, they heard the sound of flame blazing from behind. They looked back and saw Yong Ling running backward. Her white spear danced around her. Tongues of flame spread following her swinging. These flames burned the tunnel and lighted up everything.
Due to the flames, everyone saw what was chasing them. It was a horde of Jue Apes. They couldn’t tell how many were there, but they filled up almost the entire tunnel. The floor, walls, and ceiling were filled with these abominable creatures. Yong Ling’s fire slowed but didn’t stop them.
The sight made the students run faster.

While the group on the other side of the underground network ran as fast as possible to flee the cave, Amon was running deeper in. He didn’t run too fast. He also intentionally made loud stepping sounds. He wanted Xian Mei to follow him. He had to take care of these seniors today. Otherwise, they would be more careful next time. He believed the seniors also wanted to finish this today. They wouldn’t want him to exit this cave and tell Yong Ling about their intention.
He came onto a large cavern with a running stream. He stayed low once he entered. This was because he sensed several presences inside there, non-human ones. He crawled to one corner and waited. With his Concealed Ghost Body and the veiling oil covering his body, whatever beasts were here wouldn’t detect him. Furthermore, the veiling oil he used today wasn’t the low-tier oil that Gao Xi gave, but the mid-tier one that he bought. It was even more effective for hiding his scent.
Not long after, he saw Xian Mei come in. She looked around the place and seemed to be at a loss.
Xian Mei was indeed rather confused. She wondered if she was still on Amon’s tail. She could no longer hear Amon’s footsteps. Could she have lost him? Or probably, that sneaky freshman prepared more traps for her here and was hiding nearby?
She believed it was the latter. She was still wondering how the kid placed so many traps inside this place. She was with him every day. He was never out of her sight. She couldn’t wrap her head around this. One thought occurred to her then. Could he have brought help? He had someone else plant these traps?
But that was also unlikely. They came here riding the great eagle. Unless Amon secretly possessed another great eagle, it would be impossible for his helpers to arrive here so fast.
She decided not to stress about these questions. Right now, the important thing was to take out the freshman. She jumped onto the tallest boulder to get a better view of her surroundings.
"Hm...?" After looking around, she noticed movements in one corner. Someone was there. Someone who seemed to be laying low.
She didn’t waste time. She was not going to give Amon the chance to get away again. She used her movements art and dashed in that direction. Her fast-running speed, added with a few jumps, let her arrive before the moving shadow in just a few seconds.
When she was about to swing her saber, she stopped. She had a good look at the moving shadow then. It was a Jue Ape. It was crouching while munching on a partially consumed human leg.
