"Any more resistances down here?" The burly man asked. He threw the man in his hand to the floor.

When the man hit the floor, Li Shi and Amon identified him as Captain Xu Shi. He was not unconscious. He was already dead.

"No resistance. Ain’t that right, good tutor?" The old man asked.

"You know me?" Li Shi asked back.

"I know the team that is sent here. Now, your space ring," the old man demanded.

Li Shi saw no point in resisting. She took off her ring and threw it at the old man. She asked, "Why do all three elders of the Yellow Voice come here? This is just a simple ruin."

"Nothing you need to worry about," the old man replied and turned to Amon. "Yours also, good student."

Amon complied.

The old man checked both their rings. After that, he said, "Strip."

"What?!" Li Shi uttered.

"Strip! Don’t make me repeat it! How can I know you didn’t hide another space ring somewhere under those clothes?"

Li Shi was hesitant. Amon did not. There was no point in resisting if there was no chance of escape. Better to feign compliance and wait for an opportunity. Amon undressed completely, including the self-adjusting chainmail.

"That black ring," The old man pointed at Amon’s necklace. Amon took off the necklace and gave it to the old man. The old man inspected the black ring and frowned. He gave Amon a questioning stare.

"It is just a normal ring made of special material. A memento from my grandfather," Amon answered.

The old man nodded without saying anything. He turned to Li Shi, who had not yet undressed, with raised eyebrows.

Li Shi understood that she had no choice. She unwillingly took off her dress.

"So slow!" The middle-aged woman from behind uttered impatiently. A twister rose where Li Shi was standing. The wind from the twister shredded Li Shi’s dress, revealing her naked body.

"You...!" Li Shi was angry by the treatment.

"Something you want to say, little girl?" The middle-aged woman challenged. "Not that your body is that great anyway."

Li Shi felt extremely insulted by the indignation, but there was nothing she could do.

"Here," The old man in front of them threw two yellow clothes. "Wear those!"

Amon’s clothes and armor, which were on the ground, were sucked up into the old man’s hand. They then entered the old man’s space ring, including Amon’s black space ring.

’Damn it!’ Amon thought, but he kept a cool face.

Not long after, more people came to the hall. The other five students were brought here as well, bound. They all wore yellow clothes, the same as Li Shi and Amon. Li Shi came to them and asked if they were hurt. They were not. Amon thought this was good. This meant these rebels had no intention of harming them. At least, not yet.

The three elders started ordering their people to search the ruins. It was clear that the garrison outside had been wiped out. Li Shi and all the students were told to stay on one side. They were watched by six people. One was a Mystic stage cultivator. It was unnecessary. The three elders were still in the room with them. They had no chance to flee.

"Who are they?" Lei Gun whispered.

"They are the Yellow Voice rebels," Li Shi replied.

"What are they doing here?" Lei Gun asked again.

"Obviously, they are searching for something," Zong Kui said.

"That is strange. There is nothing here. We have searched almost every corner," Jie Mei said.

"It is indeed strange," Li Shi said. "Those three elders didn’t normally act together. For them to do so means this operation is very important."

"Do you know those three, tutor Li Shi?" Lei Gun asked.

"They are the three leaders of the Yellow Voice," Li Shi answered. "Yellow Voice is a collection of different clans. Mostly clans who are unsatisfied with our kingdom. The most prominent of those clans are the three clans, the Pan clan, Ni clan, and Luan clan. Those three are leaders of those respective clans. The oldest of the three is Pan Lohuan. He is supposed to be strongest, at peak Spirit stage. The burly man is Luan Xuan. The woman is Ni Lulu. Those two should be at the intermediate Spirit stage."

"Spirit stage... Three of them, some more. No wonder the soldiers are so easily routed," Zong Kui remarked.

They stayed there for an entire day. Many people came and went, giving reports to the three elders. From the three’s faces, it was apparent that they were not happy. As for Amon and the others, they stayed obedient the whole time.

Amon was watching the three elders the entire time. He couldn’t hear the three from where he was but could see their mouths. The three were speaking with their faces slightly facing the captives, and Amon could read lips.

"They still haven’t found it?" Luan Xuan asked.

"Hundreds of our members are scouring this place. We have covered every corner, but nothing has been found yet," Ni Lulu answered.

"Then have them search again! It should be here!" Luan Xuan demanded.

"Can it be your information is false?" Ni Lulu asked.

"The ancient text from the ruin where I found the recipe clearly states that this place is where the thing is stored. It should be here!"

"Maybe it has decayed and been destroyed by time."

"This is not some common household artifacts we are talking about."

"It is a certainty that the thing was once here," Pan Lohuan finally spoke. "There is a mural in the room behind that opening. That thing was carved in that mural."

"But it’s not in there?" Luan Xuan asked.

Ni Lulu gave the man an annoyed expression. She thought it was a very stupid question. They wouldn’t be still searching for the thing if it was in there, would they?

Pan Lohuan just replied flatly, "No, it’s not in there."

The three were silent for a few minutes before Pan Lohuan spoke again, "Ask everyone to search again another time. By tomorrow morning, we must leave. The kingdom will send another squad if they don’t hear from the one stationed here. We need to be gone by then."
