Returning to Dominate The World With My Knowledge System
Chapter 82: David’s Tumultuous Emotions

Chapter 82: Chapter 82: David’s Tumultuous Emotions

David walked into Tyler’s room and exhaled, the kind of exhale that carried a full hour of tension and suppressed emotion.

He had just returned from the villa—the old, stone-walled one Tyler had chosen as the meeting spot.

The conversation with Silvanus had gone far better than he expected. But that didn’t make it any easier to digest.

He was shocked when Tyler came to him in he morning and told him that he wants him to meet with Silvanus. He was very shocked because he knew exactly who the person he was meeting was.

Also, with what Tyler said about trying to use Silvanus as puppet president to run the country to run Gumua.

Then, he had wanted to refuse but Tyler as always was more than convincing. Tyler was able to convince and had him go to the meeting, with the goal of having Silvanus to accept his offer.

David walked into the room but Tyler didn’t say a word at first.

He was seated at his workstation, reclined slightly with a cup of cold coffee in one hand and a subtle smirk on his face.

David dropped into the sofa, arms resting on his knees.

"So... I take it you want me to brief you."

Tyler turned his chair, still holding the coffee. "No need. I already heard everything."

David blinked. "You... heard everything?"

Tyler nodded.

David frowned. "How? I didn’t take a phone with me. You didn’t bug me—at least not that I know of. So how—?"

The boy’s grin widened. "Freya."

At that moment, a calm, feminine voice filled the room.

{Good evening, Mr. David.}

David shot up from his seat. He looked around the room, expecting to see a hidden speaker or a woman standing in the shadows.

"What the hell—who said that?"

{I did. I am Freya. The assistant Tyler built.}

David turned to Tyler, eyebrows raised, confusion written all over his face.

"This is some kind of joke, right? You built... her?"

Tyler’s expression sobered and he started explaining everything to David.

"Freya is an AI. Fully autonomous and fully adaptable. I didn’t program her responses and I didn’t pre-train her on some library dump. What you’re hearing... is a mind."

David was shocked even more once again. He couldn’t believe it. Tyler had created an AI. The kid in front of him had created an AI. He couldn’t believe it.

How did it happen? How was this possible? How?!

David stared at him for a long moment, silence stretching between them like a thick curtain. Then he finally spoke.

"How... is that even possible? You’re seventeen. You’ve never studied computer engineering. You didn’t even finish high school."

Tyler shrugged. "That’s not important."

David leaned forward, clearly not satisfied. "No, it is. Because right now, I feel like I’ve been blindfolded and walked through a door I didn’t even know existed. How did you make her? How do you know how to do all this?"

Tyler paused, then offered a small smile. "Let’s just say... I know things."

David rubbed his face and shook his head slowly.

"Jesus Christ, Tyler. You created a goddamn AI and decided to keep it secret?"

"Well, It hasn’t exactly been long." Tyler said simply.

He naturally wasn’t going or tell him about the system.

The truth was the reason why he was telling David everything was because he trusts him. David has been helping him out form months, handling billions of dollars for him. It would be weird if he doesn’t trust him.

David looked at the speakers again. "And she... Freya, you’ve been monitoring everything?"

{Only what Master authorized. And only for the sake of security and strategy. I do not breach moral or ethical protocols. I am not a weapon. I am Master’s assistant.}

Tyler nodded. "Exactly. She’s not dangerous unless I tell her to be."

David slowly sat back again, letting the information settle.

"And this is the AI that let you eavesdrop on the meeting?"

"Yep."

David gave a hollow chuckle. "You say that like it’s normal."

Tyler walked over to his desk and grabbed David’s phone.

"Now that you’re in the loop, I want you connected, he said and told Freya to install the GlassChannel into David’s phone.

{Installing now.}

This was another reason why he was telling David about Freya was because he wants the two of them to work together.

Freya was extremely powerful and intelligence, but her influence was limited to the digital world. But if he partners her with David, then everything would be perfect.

David looked down at his phone as the screen flickered. A new app appeared: a black icon shaped like a glass shard with a hollow center.

"GlassChannel?" he read aloud.

"It’s how we’ll all communicate going forward. End-to-end encrypted, voice and media enabled, and 100% private."

David turned the phone in his hand, visibly impressed.

"You built this too?" he asked.

"No, she did."

David whistled quietly, looking at the teenager in front of him like he was seeing him for the first time.

"You really are something else."

Tyler smiled and sat back down. "Thanks."

For a few moments, David just sat, scrolling through the interface of the app, occasionally asking Freya a few questions to test her capabilities.

Each time, she responded instantly, clearly, and with logic sharper than most people he had ever worked with.

He leaned back and sighed again. "Alright. I’ll admit it. I’m impressed. Shocked as hell, but impressed."

"I need the two of you to work together from now on," Tyler said. "You have the people skills and political instincts. She has the information, the logistics, the data. Together, you’re unstoppable."

David looked from Tyler to the monitor and then back again.

"What exactly are we working toward?"

Tyler stood, looking out the window as the afternoon light poured into the room.

"Stability. Independence. I want to build a sanctuary in Gumua. A place where I can operate freely, without being shackled by global corporations or Western interference. I want to build something real. And I want to protect my family while doing it."

David nodded slowly. "And Silvanus?"

"He’s the doorway," Tyler said. "He doesn’t need to know everything. Just enough to make the right decision. Once he’s in power, we’ll give him full freedom. I don’t want to run Gumua—I just want it to be free."

David crossed his arms. "And what if he turns on us?"

Tyler gave a small smile. "That’s why you’re working with Freya. You’ll know the second he even thinks about it."

David sighed. "Jesus, kid. You scare me sometimes."

Tyler turned around. "What can I say?"

They spoke a little longer and chatted about casual things. Tyler told David that he wants to travel back home and he nodded.

"That’s a good idea. You’ve been away for so long. They miss you terribly."

By the time David left the room, the sun was beginning to dip. He had spent nearly two hours inside, and it felt like he had been transported into another world.

Tyler watched him go, then turned back to the screen. Freya’s logo blinked softly in the corner.

{Would you like to book you a ticket for your flight tomorrow?}

"Yes. Do that and make the necessary arrangements."

{Understood. Shall I notify your mother and brother?}

"No. I want it to be a surprise "

Tyler stood, stretched his back, and walked toward his closet. As he packed a small bag, his mind felt strangely light.

For weeks, he had been buried in so much work that he was nearly drowning in it. It was time to take a break.
