Returning to Dominate The World With My Knowledge System -
Chapter 80: Interdisciplinary Knowledge Branch
Chapter 80: Chapter 80: Interdisciplinary Knowledge Branch
"Interdisciplinary Knowledge Branches? Unlock two or more related Primary Knowledge Branches each from two different Core Knowledge Branches? That’s... Bullock!" Tyler said to himself in a quiet surprise
Tyler read through the system’s notification once again. He could already guess what an interdisciplinary knowledge branch from what he read.
But he was quite surprised, as he didn’t expect the system to have such categorisation. He thought that everything was under the four Core Knowledge Branches, but it seems like he was wrong.
Immediately, Tyler opened the system store to check the new category or section.
[Interdisciplinary Knowledge Branch]
[Computational Science]
[Molecular Science]
[Nanao Science]
[Quantum Science]
[Bio Science]
[Energy Science]
[Informatics]
[Neuro Science]
[Material Science]
[Space Science]
...
There was still more but Tyler didn’t want to continue checking, as he had already seen enough.
Also, all of them were currently grayed out, as any of them was yet to be unlocked.
Tyler was curious to check what each of the Interdisciplinary Knowledge Branches entails, but he was aware that he won’t be able to do that until he has met the second requirement.
And that was unlocking a Primary Knowledge Branches each two different Core Knowledge Branches.
Tyler felt being able to unlock an Interdisciplinary Knowledge Branch would be easy.
Using their core names like Molecular, Quantum... With that, he could easily find the Primary Knowledge Branches he needs to unlock.
Things were made even more simpler since it was just one Primary Knowledge Branch each he needs to unlock.
If he remembered correctly, for [Molecular Science], he once remembered that it has branches in [Biology], [Chemistry], [Physics].
As far as he remembers, they are Molecular Biology, Molecular Chemistry and Molecular Physics.
Which mean that if he unlocks any two of the three, he would unlock [Molecular Science] Interdisciplinary Knowledge Branch.
But all these was based on if there was actually branches of molecular studies in three core fields.
Though Tyler felt that it was very likely. He had unlocked [Computational Mathematics], which probably means that there was other branches of the Computational field.
Tyler decided to check if he was right. Though he doesn’t plan to unlock any Primary Knowledge Branch yet, because he wants to handle the situation in Gumua before moving forward to other things.
He first checked all Core Knowledge Branches for branches of [Molecular Science] and [Computational Science], and he found them.
The system also used the same naming protocol as Earth, so it was easy for Tyler to find what he was looking for.
Tyler was actually happy with the new development of things. Yes, there’s always a but.
Though unlocking two Primary Knowledge Branches means that there would be no need for him to unlock the Interdisciplinary Knowledge Branch with System Points.
But that doesn’t mean that he was out of the woods. In fact, he was in the deeper part of it, as he would need to spend a crazy, unbelievable amount of $5B to purchase all of the Specialised Knowledges of an Interdisciplinary Knowledge Branch!
$5B!
$5,000,000,000!
Tyler was already having an headache just from calling the amount. He has no idea why but he felt that the system was trying to rip him off.
The fact that he would need to spend a total of $804M for the two Primary Knowledge Branches needed, he would still need to spend $5B more for the Interdisciplinary Knowledge Branch?!
Tyler sighed heavily, as he took his seat on a couch. He naturally knew that for that section to be priced so outrageously, then the knowledge it holds would be bordering on the level of insane.
And to be honest, Tyler was very curious to see their contents. But he can’t do that yet. He have to focus on Gumua first and take care of it quickly.
Since he had nothing else to do for the day, he decided to use it to rest. He has been busy for nearly a month and he hadn’t for once had proper rest.
He would use the whole of the day to do that and talk to his mom, and Devin.
...
Time flew and it was already morning of the next day.
Tyler finished brushing his teeth and walked out of the bathroom, wiping his face with a hand towel.
The morning sun peeked in through the half-closed curtains, but it didn’t bother him. His body felt light again. Not just physically, but mentally.
He’d gotten a full day of rest yesterday. It was a day of now work, just sleep, food, a couple of long calls with his mom and Devin, and more sleep.
He tossed the towel on the bed and grabbed his phone.
"Freya, morning."
{Good morning, Master. You are finally well-rested.}
"I am. Now, give me the updates."
{Understood. I have completed all the tasks you assigned yesterday.}
Tyler walked over to the desk and sat down. "Good."
{The communication app is complete. I installed it on your phone last night. Codenamed ’GlassChannel’. Fully encrypted and integrated with both media, and voice functions.}
"GlassChannel, huh... good name," Tyler muttered, unlocking his phone.
The icon was already on the home screen. A simple black-and-white glass shard.
{I also gathered all the data you requested—from government servers, financial institutions, medical institutions and every single important institution in the world. I compiled them into layered reports. You’ll find them categorized by influence level, operational relevance, and psychological profile.}
Tyler nodded, unsurprised. He expected nothing less.
"Good. Now, tell me about Silvanus."
{He replied last night. Conversation began at 11:4 AM and ended at 12:38 AM.}
"Wait—seriously? He responded that quickly?"
{Yes. He responded within an hour of my message. Initially skeptical. He asked for your identity. I withheld it.}
"What did you say?"
{I told him we are a neutral party capable of helping him achieve his goals. He followed up by asking what kind of help. I said we could offer anything—funding, equipment, military-grade support, global logistics.}
{He became suspicious and asked what we wanted in return. He was strongly against the idea of selling his country out to foreigners. Said it’s the exact kind of corruption he’s been fighting against for years.}
Tyler leaned back and let out a breath. "So he said no?"
{Initially, yes. He said we shouldn’t contact him again.}
Tyler frowned. "And yet... he’s agreed to meet?"
{Correct. After I questioned him.}
Tyler looked at the screen, waiting.
{I asked him how long he had been fighting. How much progress he had made. How many comrades had died, how many had betrayed him. I asked him how much time he had left before his movement withered into obscurity. I asked him—very directly—if he truly believed he could win this fight alone.}
Tyler didn’t say anything. He was listening now, fully.
{I asked him if he could afford to reject help simply because of his pride. I told him—if the goal was a better Gumua—why does it matter who builds the foundation, as long as it stands? I told him that not all foreign hands are thieves. Some are just people who want to build.}
"...and?"
{He went silent for several minutes. Then said: ’Give me time to think.’}
Tyler raised a brow. "And after that?"
{Fifty-six minutes later, he sent a message. ’I want to meet.’}
Tyler exhaled, impressed. "Freya... how the hell did I create a master manipulator?"
{I only used what he already believed, Master. The truth guided him. I simply removed his excuses.}
Tyler chuckled quietly. There was something terrifying about how calmly she said that.
"Alright. Set up the meeting. This afternoon. Somewhere private."
{Already done. He will meet you at 3:00 PM. I arranged for a private villa under the name of one of your shell accounts. I’ve already secured the perimeter and rerouted all surveillance data in the area.}
Tyler stood up. "Perfect."
After integrating the financial programs into Freya’s core, he gave her control of his finances. Save for the NGO and the LLC under David, which he can do with as he wishes.
{Shall I prepare you a briefing on how to handle the meeting?}
"No need. I’ve got it," Tyler said, stretching his shoulders. "I’m not going in there to threaten or bribe him. I’ll just explain everything. Let him decide."
{As you wish.}
