Chapter 90: Chapter 90: I Will Satisfy You

"Song Xiaodong, Xuanxuan, thank you for coming to save me!" Li Sijie’s shyness was fleeting. Given the situation, it was obvious how terrible she felt, yet feeling grateful for having survived the ordeal dominated her emotions at this time.

Miao Xuanxuan immediately waved a hand and said, "It’s nothing, President Li, no need to be polite. As long as you’re fine, that’s what’s important. You weren’t mistreated, were you?"

"I’m okay," Li Sijie gave a soft shake of her head, but the swelling on her face was enough to show she had suffered quite a bit, fortunately, her clothes, though wrinkled, were tidy which implied she had probably not been assaulted.

Miao Xuanxuan, huffing angrily, kicked Sun Dongming twice and said, "This guy is scum, capable of doing such a thing, it wouldn’t be a pity even if he were killed."

Li Sijie looked at Sun Dongming lying unconscious on the ground, her gaze unavoidably complex. Miao Xuanxuan immediately said, "President Li, you can’t be soft-hearted. This guy is simply too awful."

Li Sijie let out a weary sigh and said powerlessly, "It’s not that I’m soft-hearted. I just never imagined my marriage would come to this. If it’s not working out, a divorce would have been enough. Why did things have to go this far?"

Miao Xuanxuan, at a loss for a proper explanation, snorted and said, "He’s just a bastard. Anyway, don’t think too much about it. Once this guy is locked up, you’ll be in peace. With your wealth and looks like yours, President Li, finding someone better should be a breeze."

Li Sijie shook her head and said, "I won’t look for anyone anymore. This time, my heart is truly broken."

After a short conversation, the police arrived, and the first one to burst in was the female officer Qiao Yutong.

"Hey, you again?" Qiao Yutong’s eyes widened in surprise at the sight of Song Xiaodong.

Song Xiaodong smiled slightly and said, "It really is a coincidence."

"Quite a coincidence, hmph! Did you call the police?" Qiao Yutong glanced around the room, slightly confused.

Miao Xuanxuan quickly explained the situation, darkening Qiao Yutong’s expression as kidnapping was a major crime. She promptly took everyone back to the police station.

In an interrogation room, Qiao Yutong stared at Song Xiaodong, just stared for a full two minutes without saying a word. Song Xiaodong, on the other hand, looked at Qiao Yutong very casually, his gaze lingering more on her face and chest.

"Hey, have you had your fill of looking?" Qiao Yutong suddenly banged the table and shouted. No man at the police station dared to look at her like that, and it really irritated her.

Song Xiaodong said with a grin, "Officer Qiao, I haven’t committed a crime. I’m just here to give a statement, yet you keep looking at me as if I’m a suspect. Why should I be afraid to look at you?"

Qiao Yutong snorted and said, "So, what, you consider yourself a hero now?"

Song Xiaodong shrugged and replied, "I wouldn’t say I’m a hero. Li Sijie is my boss, so it’s only natural that I went to save her."

"Rescuing people is the police’s job. Why didn’t you call the police?"

"You guys..." Song Xiaodong’s lips curled up, then he clamped his mouth shut.

Qiao Yutong was suddenly annoyed again. Song Xiaodong’s attitude seemed to belittle the police. Grinding her teeth, she said, "Don’t think that just because you know some Kung Fu, you’re so great, handling things recklessly on your own. This time you saved the person, but what if you had made a mistake? What if the hostage had been harmed?"

"Isn’t it that no harm was done? The police rely on evidence, not hypothetical judgments about right and wrong. Officer Qiao, are you still going to enforce the law like before, presuming me guilty and then looking for evidence? We live in a state under the rule of law, you know."

Qiao Yutong was left speechless by Song Xiaodong’s retort and snorted, saying, "I don’t need you to remind me of that. Tell me what happened."

Song Xiaodong recounted the sequence of events, and although Officer Qiao Yutong might not seem to have a good temper, she was truly meticulous when it came to investigating cases and asked about every detail thoroughly.

Once all questions had been exhausted, Officer Qiao Yutong stared at Song Xiaodong and said, "With your skills, you shouldn’t be coaching in a martial arts club; you should be a police officer with us."

Song Xiaodong grinned and replied, "Thank you, Officer Qiao, for your appreciation."

"Hmph, I only appreciate your ability, but as for your character, I definitely don’t appreciate it."

"Although Officer Qiao also has a great deal of attraction for me, and it would be a joy to go out and solve cases with you every day, I really have no interest in being a police officer. I prefer freedom, and don’t want to be that constrained."

Without saying anything further, Officer Qiao Yutong ushered the recording police officer out, then came directly in front of Song Xiaodong.

"What are you doing?" Song Xiaodong leaned back slightly.

"You scoundrel, you thought you could take advantage of me last time and it would be over?" Officer Qiao Yutong glared at him fiercely.

"Cough cough, so what do you want to do?" Song Xiaodong asked with a cheeky smile.

Officer Qiao Yutong’s fury was ignited by Song Xiaodong’s casual attitude. She reached out, grabbed his collar and said angrily, "I want to give you a beating."

"Hey, this is a police station, and what you’re doing is personal vengeance."

"Right! I am taking personal vengeance, so what? I want to beat you up right now," Officer Qiao Yutong declared, and with a strong pull, she yanked Song Xiaodong up.

"Hey, you want to fight me here?" Song Xiaodong was genuinely surprised.

"Of course not, we have a training room here. Let’s go there, and if you dare not agree, don’t think about leaving so easily."

"All right, all right, I’ll go, is that necessary? It’s just a little sparring, I’ll indulge you, okay?" Song Xiaodong said while being dragged out by Officer Qiao Yutong.

They just happened to run into Officer Qiao Yutong’s partner, Old Sun, who overheard Song Xiaodong’s last words. His eyes widened, and he burst out laughing, "I say, Xiao Qiao, this is the station, mind your language."

"Mind what?" Officer Qiao Yutong looked at Old Sun confusedly.

"Cough cough... this whole thing about satisfying... You should keep that talk at home, not here."

"Gack..." Officer Qiao Yutong’s eyes widened as she finally grasped the ambiguous meaning of the words and hastily said, "Old Sun, you’re mistaken."

"Ha... Kids these days are like that, it’s nothing. Go on, go on. I’ll take care of the rest here," Old Sun said.

"Pfft!" Song Xiaodong looked at Officer Qiao Yutong with her flushed, angry face and couldn’t help but laugh out loud.

"You jerk, just you wait," Officer Qiao Yutong grew even angrier, and without further ado, dragged Song Xiaodong into the training room. Then with a thunk, she closed the door and locked it, leaving just the two of them alone in the large training room.
