Li Gang shrugged, "She must have a boyfriend now, and so, she’s avoiding Dongzi."

Wang Xiaoqiang shook his head, "I don’t think that’s it. Even if she got a boyfriend, Dongzi has helped her so much. She has no reason to avoid him unless something happened."

Li Gang sneered, "Pull the other one. Didn’t you see her retching just now? It’s clear she’s pregnant."

Back then, Xiaodong was involved in various dealings, grappling with both the Sun family and the Su Family, so he hadn’t contacted Li Sijie, then left for Su Family’s place, and almost two months passed without them seeing each other.

Initially, Li Sijie considered aborting the baby to avoid complications, but she always felt hesitant, especially as she had never conceived before.

As the pregnancy progressed, Li Sijie’s desire to keep the baby grew, and when she learned Xiaodong had gone out of town, she simply decided to secretly have the baby and not tell Xiaodong, planning to be a single mother.

"Hello, water delivery." A man’s voice followed.

"Ah!" Li Sijie gasped, clutching her chest and stumbling backward, utterly shocked to see Song Xiaodong there.

Song Xiaodong stepped forward to steady Li Sijie, speaking softly, "Don’t be scared, I’m not going to eat you. It’s not good for a pregnant woman to be frightened." His hand gently patted her back as he infused her with True Qi.

"You... How did you get here?" Li Sijie stammered.

"You silly woman, having a baby, why are you still hiding from me?" Song Xiaodong closed the door with his foot, then led Li Sijie to sit on the bed.

"I... I’m not pregnant, you’re thinking too much," Li Sijie said, turning her head away from Song Xiaodong’s gaze.

Song Xiaodong said, "Have you forgotten that I’m a doctor? Whether you’re pregnant or not, can’t I tell? Then I’m a pretty lousy doctor."

Li Sijie’s lips twitched as she said, "Sorry... after you left, I... I got involved with another man."

"Oh?" Song Xiaodong raised an eyebrow.

Li Sijie turned to face Song Xiaodong, saying, "That’s right, you can’t have me, and I can’t just be alone forever. Luckily, there was a man who satisfied me, so I stayed with him, and then I got pregnant."

Song Xiaodong’s expression didn’t show any displeasure as he said, "Then why are you hiding from me?"
