Song Xiaoru couldn’t possibly come up with a solution right away. After some thought, she finally sighed and said, "It’s just as well Qingqing isn’t here, let’s go see Su’er at noon. I haven’t seen her for quite a few days either."

Song Xiaodong promptly agreed, then dialed Lin Su’er’s phone number.

"Hello... Ah, Brother Dongzi!" Lin Su’er must have worked a night shift yesterday, her first response was a bit groggy, but as soon as she saw Song Xiaodong’s number, she excitedly cried out.

"Were you sleeping?" Song Xiaodong asked with an involuntary tender smile on his face.

Fifteen minutes later, Song Xiaodong and Song Xiaoru were already standing at Lin Su’er’s doorstep.

Song Xiaodong knocked on the door, and Lin Su’er’s voice came from inside: "Who is it?" She was still very cautious and didn’t open the door right away.

Song Xiaoru smiled faintly and said, "Don’t you welcome me?"

"Welcome... of course, welcome." Lin Su’er frantically fetched slippers for Song Xiaoru to wear.

Song Xiaoru and Song Xiaodong changed their shoes and walked in. Seeing Lin Su’er so anxious and uneasy, Song Xiaoru softly laughed and said, "Su’er, your pajamas are really pretty."

"Ah..." Lin Su’er instinctively shielded her chest with both hands, her face flushed with embarrassment. She had specifically purchased this set of pajamas, which belonged to the quite sexy, semi-transparent kind, that outlined the contour of the body and left little to the imagination. It was the kind of outfit that could easily cause a man to have a nosebleed.

Lin Su’er wasn’t the type of girl who was very open, but after being with Song Xiaodong, she knew that she couldn’t always be with him, so she treasured every chance to be together. She wanted to make the most out of these limited opportunities, which is why she had researched and decided to buy such a pair of blush-inducing pajamas.

Having heard that Song Xiaodong was coming today, she had bravely put them on, hoping to give him a surprise, but she hadn’t expected Song Xiaoru to come as well. The fact that she noticed her pajamas made her feel both embarrassed and flustered.

She stole a glance at Song Xiaodong, wanting to get some sort of sign from him.

"Su’er, don’t be scared. Dongzi already told me about you and him," Song Xiaoru said at this moment.

"Ah..." Lin Su’er’s face turned pale, and she stuttered, "Sister Xiaoru, I’m sorry, I’m so sorry, it’s all my fault, it was me who took the initiative, it’s not Brother Dongzi’s fault."

Song Xiaoru’s heart ached, and she took Lin Su’er’s hand, leading her to sit on the couch and said, "Su’er, you silly girl, is it worth it doing what you’re doing? Dongzi is quite the playboy, to rely on him for your happiness in life... it’s really not very reliable."

Lin Su’er was still confused about Song Xiaoru’s intentions, but at least Song Xiaoru’s attitude made her relax a little. She bit her lip, looked up at Song Xiaoru, and said softly, "Sister Xiaoru, it really is voluntary on my part."

"Look how scared you are, Dongzi, tell her something, or else Su’er will keep thinking I’m here to lay blame."

Song Xiaodong cleared his throat and said, "Su’er, don’t be afraid. My sister knows about us; she’s just here to see you. If she were really here to lay blame, it would be Qingqing who came, not my sister."

Lin Su’er finally breathed a sigh of relief but still felt quite embarrassed. She said softly, "Sister Xiaoru, if... if you have to blame someone, blame me, really, don’t blame Brother Dongzi, it was I who seduced him."

Song Xiaoru gave a wry smile and said, "You silly girl, you’re always protecting him. What’s so good about this boy?"

Lin Su’er bit her lip and bravely whispered, "Sister Xiaoru, Brother Dongzi really is an amazing man, I really like him so much. I know it’s wrong, and it’s unfair to Sister Qingqing, but I can’t control myself. Even if all I can be is Brother Dongzi’s mistress for life, even if he only thinks of me occasionally, if he considers me his, I’ll be content. Song Xiaoru sighed softly and said, "You really are too naive. Living like this, you’ll suffer for the rest of your life."

Lin Su’er quickly responded, "Not at all, not at all, truly, right now I’m feeling indescribably happy. Just thinking that I’m Brother Dongzi’s woman, I don’t care about anything else."

Song Xiaoru’s mouth twitched, and she said, "I’m beginning to suspect that Dongzi has given you some sort of love potion, for you to be so foolish."

Lin Su’er turned to look at Song Xiaodong, bit her lip, and said nothing.

Song Xiaoru patted the back of Lin Su’er’s hand and said, "Since you’ve made up your mind, I won’t say much. If you choose to follow Dongzi, then he must take responsibility. But given the circumstances, Dongzi can’t take care of you in every way. How about this: if you ever need anything, you come straight to me. I’ll help you communicate, and this way, Qingqing won’t find out, and Dongzi can still look after you. What do you think?"

Lin Su’er’s eyes widened in surprise, looking at Song Xiaoru. Does this mean that Song Xiaoru was acknowledging her position and even offering to help her?
