The three of them walked to a secluded spot to avoid the crowd, and Shen Yue couldn’t help but ask.

Feng Kexin chuckled lightly, "Is there any doubt? Who would claim to be someone’s cousin for no reason?"

"That makes sense, but wait!" Shen Yue scrutinized them again, "The phone number you asked for that day... you two had never been in touch before, what kind of relatives are you?"

Feng Kexin smiled, "Exactly, I didn’t even know I had a cousin before, and now I do, right?"

Shen Yue’s face show disbelief, "This seemed too phony, doesn’t it?"

Song Xiaodong smiled, "It’s not fake, just that our relationship is somewhat special, and I can’t tell you about it just yet."

Feng Kexin raised her chin proudly, "This is our secret between the two of us, really can’t tell you."

After Shen Yue left, Feng Kexin dropped the playful tone, "Cousin, I really feel like someone’s stalking me, it’s frightening."

Feng Kexin, clinging to Song Xiaodong’s arm, walked down the school’s path towards the school gate, said while walking, "You have a sixth sense too, that makes even more sense that we are cousins."

Song Xiaodong chuckled lightly, "Many people have a sixth sense, some just have a stronger one than others, that’s all."

"Is that so? You know so much. Ah, that feeling is coming back." Feng Kexin clenched Song Xiaodong’s arm tightly and leaned against him.

Song Xiaodong was surprised; he didn’t have such a sensation, which meant Feng Kexin’s sixth sense was much sharper than his own.

They advanced a few more steps when Song Xiaodong truly realized they were being followed. The pursuer was incredibly agile, clearly well-trained, blending in like a regular student about twenty meters behind them, even dressed as a student, a girl at that, which would make it extremely difficult for an average person to detect.

Song Xiaodong quickly understood why he didn’t trigger his sixth sense—because that person had no hostile intentions towards him; her target was Feng Kexin. Thus, while Kexin could sense the danger, he did not.

Song Xiaodong said, "I’ve noticed it too, but don’t be nervous, just keep going as we are. It’s probably because of the auction tag you had the other day; it must’ve caught someone’s attention."

Feng Kexin said, "You mean they’re after me because of that tag?"

Song Xiaodong nodded, "Exactly. I suspect that’s the case, but as of now, I don’t know if this person is a friend or a foe."

"What if it’s a friend?"

"If it’s a friend, then they’re here to confirm your identity before making contact. After that, we might uncover the secrets of that tag." At this point, Song Xiaodong was somewhat excited; after all, how could he not care about, or want to know more about his own origin?

Feng Kexin was clearly just as excited and asked further, "What if it’s a foe?"

"If it’s a foe... well, that’s hard to say. It all depends on how special our identity is; it might even be that once they confirm our identity, they could just kill us on the spot."

"Really?" Feng Kexin shivered.

Song Xiaodong said, "Likely. Given our unique identity, we can’t use common sense to guess the situations we face. Let’s go out first; I believe whether the person is a friend or a foe, they will make the first move."

The pair walked out of the school; Song Xiaodong didn’t take Feng Kexin to his car but continued along the road beside the school.

The school was not in a bustling urban area, and there was a relatively quiet side road nearby. They hadn’t gone far when the person following them quickened their pace, drawing closer and closer.

Yet even as the follower increased their speed, it appeared like a normal walk, it didn’t reveal that their target was Feng Kexin.

When that person neared Feng Kexin and Song Xiaodong from behind, a sharp dagger suddenly appeared in her hand. With a swift lift of her arm, she aimed directly at Feng Kexin’s neck.
