"Sijie, are you guys having a meeting?" The man glanced over Song Xiaodong and Miao Xuanxuan, then smiled and greeted Li Sijie.

Li Sijie, clearly surprised to see the man, said, "Zhao Pingzhi, why did you suddenly show up here?"

Zhao Pingzhi smiled slightly and said, "I’ve known for a while that you hold meetings here and have been silently following your progress. If things had been going well for you, I wouldn’t have bothered you, but now... I already know about your situation, so I must come to help you."

Li Sijie’s face flushed red. Zhao Pingzhi was also a college classmate of hers and a former suitor. They hadn’t seen each other for quite some time, and she hadn’t expected Zhao Pingzhi to suddenly appear, let alone say such things, which touched her and made her say, "Well, thank you for that."

Zhao Pingzhi immediately patted his chest and said, "If it’s Hualong Company, then I can handle it for you. I know someone very high up in their company."

He had never given up on Li Sijie and, hearing that her husband was in trouble, he had hurried over. It was a golden opportunity to seize the moment. With Li Sijie also in difficulty, if he could solve her problem, she would readily accept him.

Li Sijie’s eyes brightened. "Do you really know their senior personnel?" Although Miao Xuanxuan and Song Xiaodong had said they would help, they didn’t explain how, so Li Sijie wasn’t convinced they could resolve the issue. But if Zhao Pingzhi knew people in Hualong Company, then the matter seemed much more manageable.

Zhao Pingzhi said proudly, "Absolutely, definitely. I can’t lie to you. I have a great relationship with that person. We’ve dined together several times, always referring to each other as brothers. Tell me the problem; I’ll call him right now."

Li Sijie recounted the situation to Zhao Pingzhi.

After hearing it, Zhao Pingzhi was also somewhat vexed. If it were just a minor conflict, it would be no issue with just one word from him, but this was about a rent of three million—it was no small matter.

Li Sijie’s eyes widened, "That can’t be?" But suspicion started to grow in her heart; it really was a bit too coincidental.

Song Xiaodong simply smiled and said, "It’s easy to judge. If he had orchestrated this, he should’ve made the call in front of you, President Li, to show his ability. But since he went outside to call, it means he’s not confident, which suggests he didn’t set this up. And, if I’m right, he’ll come back looking pretty embarrassed, saying he can’t resolve the issue."

"No way? If he can’t solve it... what do we do?" Li Sijie grew anxious.

Miao Xuanxuan was surprised by Song Xiaodong’s analytical skills. He always seemed rather frivolous, but when facing a situation, he appeared unexpectedly reliable.

"What are you staring at me for? Do you admire me that much?" Song Xiaodong winked at Miao Xuanxuan.

"Pah! Admire you, my foot!" Miao Xuanxuan rolled her eyes at Song Xiaodong and kicked his foot again before turning to Li Sijie and saying, "You don’t have to worry, President Li. Song Xiaodong will definitely be able to help you."

Miao Xuanxuan pouted and said, "I just feel like that Zhao Pingzhi is up to no good. President Li, don’t fall for his tricks."

Li Sijie nodded and replied, "Don’t worry. Though I’ve faced setbacks in love, I’m not about to throw it all away." As she spoke, Li Sijie couldn’t help but glance at Song Xiaodong, feeling inexplicably guilty.

This glance, however, was caught by Miao Xuanxuan, who suddenly found herself looking back and forth between Song Xiaodong and Li Sijie, sensing something off about the relationship between the two.

As she was about to tentatively ask, Zhao Pingzhi walked back in. Li Sijie quickly approached him, eagerly asking, "How did it go?"
