Reincarnated As the Enemy's Wife: Married the Rival, Bound by Revenge -
Chapter 109: At Silent Midnight, She and Him
Chapter 109: At Silent Midnight, She and Him
Yvonne stood in place with her teeth itching with anger.
<What are you talking about!
I’m a serious business student!
I’ll go to my dad’s company in the future!
I’m not a pool star following your ass for food!
You are nothing!
God!>
However, Yvonne could only say it in her mind now.
Because she was really too tired to say a word.
On the other hand.
In Hiltonan, Zachary had a hard time dealing with a series of land purchases and projects.
He glanced at the time of Frobnia, it almost the time that Yvonne took her rest. So he called her.
But no one answered.
Zachary was a little worried and called her translator lady again.
The translator lady told him all the things.
Knowing that Yvonne had stayed in cold seawater for two whole hours, his was totally heated. Then he directly slammed the door and left the office.
The crowd couldn’t understand what made their boss so mad.
"Mr. Leinster..."
"Book a flight, I’m going to Frobnia."
"But..." This was so sudden that Mr. King couldn’t react, "But that land is now..."
"It had been negotiated well. Report if anything happens."
"Okay."
It was daytime in Hiltonan, nighttime in Frobnia.
Yvonne was already asleep when Zachary called.
After the shooting, Yvonne took a hot bath and drank ginger water to drive away the cold before she fell asleep.
But even then, her brain was befogged.
It’s hard to stand.
But she couldn’t have a fever, she had the next shooting tomorrow.
Yvonne got out from the water with difficulty. She found that she really seemed to have a fever.
This was the first time she was alone in a foreign country with no one around when she was sick at midnight.
She was very lonely.
"I wish I had him with me right now..." she thought.
Yvonne had a restless sleep this time.
The hotel she stayed at in Frobnia was very nice, it’s an international five stars, but it was built for years.
Some of the old hotels just had a slightly spooky atmosphere.
Yvonne slept with a lamp light, but it went out for some reason in the second half of the night.
It started raining frequently outside then.
It was thunder.
There were loud crashes of thunder.
Yvonne woke up soon and found the curtains were spooky as well, as if someone was behind it. She immediately screamed.
The thumping noise came from the door.
Someone was knocking at the door.
Yvonne thought it was something scary and immediately screamed louder.
"Don’t be afraid, it’s me."
A clear voice was there. Yvonne thought she was hallucinating because of the high temperatures.
"Who are you?"
"It’s Finn."
<Mr. Levin?
Why is he here?>
Although she was sick, Yvonne still knew that she was a married woman, and it was not appropriate to meet a man at such midnight.
"Why you are here?"
Finding she was a little nervous, Finn laughed, "I came back to Abari to meet a friend, then I heard that you were sick. I just took a plane from there to come and see you."
With only one hour of flight time between the Abari and Frobnia, it was very convenient.
"I... I’m going to sleep!"
"It’s okay, I just want to give you some fever reducer, then I will go."
Actually, Finn couldn’t do anything to Yvonne. "You turn on the light, put on your clothes, and open the door please," probably he worried that she would be hesitate, he added, "I brought good fever-reducing medicine, you’ll be fine tomorrow if you take it. You don’t want to delay tomorrow’s work, right?"
Yvonne had indeed been hesitant.
But after hearing that, she did as she was told.
The door opened and Yvonne felt Finn’s English-fashion trench coat had been drenched by the rain, carrying the chill of the thunderstorm weather outside.
Finn, on the other hand, felt the neat style and fragrance of the house that belonged exclusively to women.
He thought it was just a thing like delivering a cold remedy simply, but his heart was beating hard when he saw that little woman with conservative cotton pajamas and pajama pants inside her black jacket.
He’d never been in the girl’s room before.
However, he looked calm though.
"Here are the medicines I brought over. it’s not convenient for you to buy prescriptions in Frobnia alone, so I got them from my personal doctor in Abari. I used to take these when I was sick while studying in there."
"Thanks a lot."
Yvonne was very grateful.
Since it was quite late, she didn’t ask anyone to get her medicine.
She just planned to make some sweat by staying in her bed. If thing didn’t get better, she could do nothing but return to work tomorrow with the fever.
"Let me make some warm water for you, none of the hotels here have heating kettles."
Yvonne knew this, people living here did not drink warm water.
Finn had obviously prepared for this. He brought a heating kettles with him.
A moment later, he got it right. Yvonne sat on the bed and took the medicine, and she actually fell asleep accidentally for the fever.
The room had been warm. Finn dangled his suit on the sofa, then started to prepare medicine for Yvonne.
This clean- cut tall man in the white shirt was slowly clearing the table with his back to her, but at that moment he heard the sound of even breathing coming from the bed behind him.
Finn turned his head over.
"Are you asleep?"
He said with a very soft voice.
She didn’t respond.
Yvonne was asleep.
Finn pulled a wry face.
This girl was usually so guarded, but now she even fell asleep while he was still there today. How uncomfortable was she supposed to be?
Finn walked over to her, took off her jacket and placed it on the chair next to the bed.
Then, gentlemanly, he helped take her back into the bed. From start to finish, he did nothing else to her.
But just as he got up to leave, the girl’s warm little hand suddenly clasped his wrist.
"Don’t go..."
"Zachary."
"..."
HIs face slowly clouded.
So she was dreaming of Zachary Leinster?
He looked at the delicate little face in the bed. Her brow was furrowing, as if she had a bad time in the dream.
Yvonne was actually very, very afraid of the sea.
Her past life had left her with a kind of fear of the sea. It was engraved into her bones and genes.
That fear had weakened a bit the last time she had fallen overboard after her rebirth, but it seemed to have been deepened again after those two hours of soaking in the sea today, when she had nearly collapsed several times.
"I’m scared...
"No, don’t die please... Zachary... Dad... Mom... Don’t leave me alone... I was wrong... I’ll try my best..."
Finn frowned when he heard these.
Die?
"Does she mean the last time Zachary risked his life to save her at the estuary of Times River?"
She even mentioned her Mom and Dad... He remembered that Frank Taylor was sent into the resuscitation room once, but what happened to Mrs. Taylor?
Just as Finn couldn’t follow her words, Yvonne continued.
"I won’t let anyone hurt you in this life... or hurt me... I am strong enough now..."
Her forehead was getting hotter and hotter.
Finn withdrew his hand, then his eyes gradually softened.
Well, this young princess, who seemed to who feared no one, had such a vulnerable side.
The fear of thunder, the want of company when she was sick, and such pain in her heart.
He couldn’t help his desire of protecting her because of these.
...
Zachary came by plane the whole night long.
He actually could sleep in first class, but on a plane, it was uncomfortable as well.
He hadn’t slept the whole way, worrying about Yvonne. He’d been up all night when he arrived in Frobnia.
After arriving at the airport, he directly came to the Cascara Island where Yvonne was.
It was already the next morning when Zachary arrived at the hotel.
The island was very quiet in the morning. Outside the window, there was the glass-like sea.
The man opened the door to Yvonne’s room directly, and the scene in front of him completely made his eyes blaze with anger.
Her girl was lying on the bed, with her black hair hanging loose over.
Clothes, quilts, all covered her tightly.
The curtains were left open, and there was bright light inside the room.
Man’s trench coat was on the couch.
Finn sat on the couch next to the bed with his eyes closed, being well groomed.
Hearing the sound, he opened his eyes.
His mouth tightened into a straight line.
"You come out with me."
After saying that, the tall man in black left the room with a poker face.
Yvonne was still sleeping. She was exhausted from her work, so he didn’t want to fight someone in front of her.
Finn stood up from the couch. He hadn’t slept well either, looking tired.
However, he quickly perked up though, straightening the folds on his shirt before hanging his trench coat on his arm and following Zachary out.
The door was closed by Zachary, and he said condescendingly.
"Mr. Levin, you are really well -bred. You staying overnight in a married woman’s room, is this your Gentleman etiquette?"
"You misunderstood, Mr. Leinster. It thundered in Cascara Island last night and Miss Taylor was afraid, that’s why I stayed here."
Zachary’s face totally darkened.
Did she tell him to stay?
No way, Yvonne wouldn’t do it.
Thinking of this, Zachary sneered.
"Really?"
He fought back, "Even if my wife was afraid of thunder, she couldn’t have left a strange man in her room.
"I’m afraid that you wanted to take advantage of her when she was sick, didn’t you? Had you flattered yourself?"
This time, it was Finn’s turn to have a darkened face.
He and Yvonne were the only ones who knew about last night’s situation.
Yvonne hadn’t even been very willing to let him in at first, let alone let him stay.
He thought that Zachary would be furious for seeing such a scene this morning anyway.
But surprisingly, not only did he not lose his mind, he was intelligent enough to analyze everything.
He was not confused by him at all.
"As you are here, Mr. Leinster, I’ll go back to Abari then."
"Wait."
Zachary gave him a cold smile. He seemed to carelessly twist the wedding ring on his finger, but in fact, he was scheming, hiding the darkness side inside him.
"Staying in another person’s room without the master’s permission is, to put it mildly, corrupting your reputation; if I put it seriously, you had broken the bottom line of the law,
"I’ll take my wife for a full body checkup later, and if there’s any damage," Zachary said, turning around as if he were a powerful monarch in the dark night, "you must know the consequence, Mr. Levin."
Finn felt the sense of oppression, but he was still calm and his face didn’t even change a bit.
"It’s just a few cold pills, if you are worried about it, you can take her to hospital."
"However," Finn said with smile, "Miss Taylor hates to be suspected or oppressed the most, so when she wakes up, it’s better for you to treat her as usual."
After saying that, Finn walked away in a calm manner.
Zachary clenched his fist with anger, and his fist veins was bulging one after another.
Inside the room.
Yvonne heard something, then she woke up slowly.
The sun was blinding. She frowned as she saw a man in the doorway, and thought there must be something dazzled her.
"Why you are here?"
Was she hallucinating?
Or was it a dream?
