99. Shino’s Anime Filler (OVA ), Episode 4: Mission: Protect the Waterfall Village! Part 4 (Ino)

“Welcome home, Ino-chan! So, what did you bring me?” Shino says excitedly as if expecting a birthday present.

“Well,” I hedge, “You said not to steal their Hero Water, so it’s not that big a haul.”

Shino shrugs, “It divides the lifespan of the user by the amount it multiplies one’s chakra. That’s not something I want my girls using.”

Oh… yeah, that’s a serious downside. Even if we’re willing to die for the cause, Shino is the kind of person who might not think victory is worth the price.

“There’s the Water Whip and Watercutting Sword jutsus,” Kin offers while tapping her Sharingan eye. That’s right, she must’ve copied everything the enemy used!

“Interesting,” Shino allows, “But we don’t have a Water Release specialist.”

I remind her, “Didn’t you say that a Kekkei Genkai gives the wielder affinities for the component Nature Releases? That’d make training them easier.”

Kin’s shoulders slump as she admits, “But Ice Release is plain better! And the jutsus don’t exactly translate between natures…”

She’d know best considering she now has the most experience training Ice Release among us. I’m disappointed not to have netted us a cool technique like a 'Frost Blade' or something. Maybe we can modify the technique with some trial and error eventually.

“We caught you another bitch!” Karin proclaims while presenting a hog-tied Hisame to change the subject.

“That doesn’t look consensual…” Shino winces, the gagged woman showing understandable fear in her eyes.

“Um, she’ll come around eventually?” Karin hazards.

Turning to Imomushi, Shino instructs, “Put her up in a nice room with the other POWs. We’ll see if we can’t sweet talk her into working with us at some point.”

“Of course, Young Mistress Shino-sama.”

That’s it then. The others all look fairly underwhelmed as Kin-Kitty, Karin, Fubuki, and I stand there awkwardly awaiting Shino’s assessment. She gave me this mission and we succeeded! So, why does it feel like a letdown?

“But what about Shibuki-kun?” Shino asks, showing more interest in a male than I’ve seen from her before.

“The Village head? Oh, he’s super into Naruto-kun!” Fubuki replies, effervescent with energy, “So cute!”

“That’s perfect! Then we can consider this a resounding success, great job, Ino-chan, Karin-chan, Kin-Kitty, Fubuki-chan! You all did fantastic.”

“But, Shino-chan, Takigakure was already a Konoha ally…”

“Ah, but we didn’t have any personal ties with their leadership. A problem you all solved today by clearing the hidden mission!”

My eye twitches. “Shino-chan, you’re saying that seducing Shibuki-kun was the main objective?”

“Well, yeah, but I can’t out and tell my Harem wives to set a honey trap! We’re lucky he’s gay. Otherwise, this might’ve been an impossible task.”

Veins pulse in my fist as I clench it. “Hey, bug slut! Next time you send me on a wild goose chase, fucking warn a bitch!!!”
