Reincarnated as Just a Human?!
Chapter 32: Aura

Chapter 32: Aura

Leon kept struggling, trying to force his body out of the entity’s stomach.

Outside, Hiroshi fought with everything he had, clashing with the entity. Kami and Ren circled, trying to find an opening, desperate to pull Leon out. They knew if this dragged on any longer, Leon would suffocate.

"We should help them," Lucas said, stepping forward.

"No, we won’t," Alexia commanded sharply.

"They have to figure it out themselves."

"Then let’s catch that Charlotte," Lucas said, shifting his focus toward him.

"We don’t even know if he’s hiding another ace," Alexia replied coldly.

"We can survive easily if something goes wrong. But we can’t guarantee those kids will."

Lucas hesitated, then stepped back, agreeing silently.

Leon clenched his fists. His vision was fading, breath growing weaker, but his will burned stronger than ever.

I’m not dying like this.

I’m not ending here.

A strange pulse of energy stirred inside him. It wasn’t mana, it wasn’t magic—it was something rawer, deeper.

Black cracks spread across the fleshy prison around him, as if the entity’s body was reacting to Leon’s awakening strength.

Outside, Hiroshi noticed it first.

"The hell is that...?"

Lucas’ eyes widened when he felt the energy leaking from inside the entity.

"A-Aura!" he blurted out.

He turned toward Alexia, confusion and shock clear on his face.

"How... How is Aura coming out of that entity?!" Lucas stuttered. "It’s impossible for an Entity to use Aura!"

Alexia’s eyes narrowed, her gaze sharpening as she focused on the battlefield.

But the next moment, her expression changed slightly—almost like disbelief.

"It’s not the Entity..." she said in a low voice.

Her hand trembled slightly.

"It’s... Leon."

---

In a stage where everything was dark, suddenly a flash of light revealed a single leaf.

It raised its hand high in the air.

"Yooo everyone! I’m your Softleaf, the one who’ll teach you the things you don’t know about."

Softleaf began walking around as a spotlight followed him, his voice echoing in the empty space.

"What is Aura?"

"Aura is similar to mana pressure—but way more powerful. It doesn’t rely on mana. It’s born from life force itself."

He grinned, throwing his arms wide.

"Powerful Aura—like the one from Akash—can destroy planets, or even Greater Entities, just by standing still!"

Softleaf twirled once and then waved brightly.

"Alright, I’ll appear again when I’m needed. Bye-bye!"

With a final wave, he faded into the darkness.

---

The entity suddenly shrieked, its body twitching violently. Hiroshi didn’t waste a second—he tightened his grip on his sword, boosting his mana.

Kami and Ren readied themselves too, feeling the pressure shift.

BOOM!

An explosion from inside the entity blasted it backward. A black figure shot out, crashing onto the ground—Leon, gasping but alive.

His body was bruised, blood dripping, but his eyes burned fiercer than ever.

"Leon!" Kami called out, rushing toward him.

Leon slowly stood up, wiping the blood off his mouth.

"I’m not done yet," he muttered, a small smirk forming.

Entity X roared, its stomach rapidly regenerating, but this time it felt slower—like something was wrong with it.

Hiroshi stepped forward beside Leon, sword raised.

"This time... we will end it," Hiroshi said.

Leon gave a nod.

Leon’s aura raged around him like a black storm, whipping the floor beneath his feet.

Hiroshi smirked, feeling the raw energy coming from Leon.

Kami stood beside them, a magic circle already forming at her fingertips.

Ren tightened his grip on his blade, sparks of mana crackling along its edge.

Entity X let out a distorted roar, stepping back for the first time.

Without hesitation, Hiroshi charged first, his blade glowing red from mana infusion. Leon followed, his aura shaping like sharp claws around his fists.

Kami launched bursts of sealing magic, restricting the entity’s movements just enough for Ren to dash in, slashing its side wide open.

The four of them moved like a single organism—attacking, covering, attacking again.

Celestine folded her arms, watching the scene with a sneer.

"Look at them... acting all heroic like this is some big moment," she said, rolling her eyes.

The rich guy beside her, polishing his expensive dagger, smirked.

"Trash always shines the brightest right before burning out," he said.

The other guy, yawning while leaning against a test tube, scoffed.

"Tch. Bunch of low-rankers getting worked up. Pathetic."

Back in the battle, Entity X tried counterattacking, but Leon blocked its claw with his bare arm—his aura forming a solid shield.

He gritted his teeth, blood dripping from his skin, but he didn’t back off.

"I’ll break you down," Leon growled.

Hiroshi, Kami, and Ren followed up, launching a combined strike—blade, magic, and fists hammering into Entity X like a storm.

For the first time, Entity X staggered, a deep crack forming on its monstrous body.

Leon’s aura flared again, darker and sharper.

Entity X stumbled backward, letting out a shriek that shook the air.

Hiroshi didn’t give it a second—he spun his sword, slashing across its chest with a violent burst of mana.

Ren followed up, slicing through its thigh, dropping the creature to one knee.

Kami unleashed a chain of mana bolts, each one exploding against Entity X’s body, forcing it down even further.

Leon dashed forward, aura swirling madly around him, and drove a punch straight into the cracked core now faintly visible through Entity X’s flesh.

The floor shook.

Entity X coughed out black fluid, its body spasming uncontrollably.

They stood there, breathing hard, surrounding it from all sides.

Hiroshi twirled his sword, pointing the tip at the twitching mass.

"It’s over," he said coldly.

Ren wiped blood from his cheek, smirking.

Kami prepared a sealing spell to lock the entity for good.

Leon’s fists tightened, aura sharpening like blades around him.

Charlotte, now irritated by his puppet’s defeat, growled,

"You kids acting all mighty... I’ll show you your worth, motherfuckers."

He pulled out a button from his coat — but before he could even blink, Lucas appeared in front of him.

With a swift move, he destroyed the button and trapped him.

Charlotte looked terrified.

"No-no-no..."

He lowered his head, face darkening — then suddenly, he started laughing.

"Kuakuakuakua!"

"What are you laughing at?" Alexia asked, slowly walking toward him.

"You kids don’t know the true power of science."

"Kuakuakuakua!"

Charlotte started acting mad, his voice rising.

"Fine, fine! Then I’ll show you the real power!!

THE SUPREMACY OF SCIENCE!!

Entity X suddenly leapt high into the air and landed right on top of Charlotte.

Lucas backed off quickly, forming energy in his hands, ready to blast the entity.

Entity X grabbed Charlotte,

"KUAKUAKUA!!"

Then devoured him — chewing him like a beast.

AHHHHHHHHH!! IT HURTS, DON’T CHEW ME!!

"I DON’T WANT TO DIE!! LADY DOCTOR, SAVE ME!!"

Charlotte’s screams echoed through the air, desperation in his voice as his body contorted in agony.

His skin ripped open, muscles torn apart as bones cracked under pressure. Blood gushed from the wounds, spilling like water, soaking the ground. His body spasmed violently, the air thick with the stench of raw flesh and blood. Each Bite only worsened the destruction, his body breaking apart. Then Entity X grabbed Charlotte’s head, ripped it off without hesitation, and chewed it brutally—crunching the skull like dry bones, blood splattering across the floor.

The entity’s eyes widened — turning a glowing, sickly green from hollow.

Then it started attacking the giant test tube at the center.

"What the hell is he doing?!" Hiroshi’s grip tightened on his sword.

"He’s up to something... something big," Leon said, eyes widening.

"I will come back! I will come back! I will come back!"

Entity X started repeating, its voice twisted and broken, echoing through the laboratory.

Kami, watching the scene, froze—her eyes widening in horror.

Hiroshi quickly moved, trying to shield her view, but before he could, she bent over and started vomiting.

Even Hiroshi felt his stomach twist, but he forced himself to stay composed.

Leon and Ren stood still. Shocked by Charlotte’s sudden switch from mad laughter to gut-wrenching screams, but strangely... the gore didn’t shake them. It was as if they’d already witnessed horrors like this before.

Alexia stayed calm on the surface, but her clenched fists gave away her discomfort—this wasn’t something she was used to.

Lucas, on the other hand, was frozen stiff, unable to even lift a finger. His face pale, eyes wide in disbelief.

As the grotesque scene unfolded, a single thought echoed in everyone’s mind:

Who was that ’lady doctor’ Charlotte was screaming about?

Was it someone from his past? Someone even worse than him...?

The ground trembled as Entity X, now completely mutated, roared in agony and rage.

Its body was swelling, veins bulging, the green light in its eyes flickering violently.

Leon gritted his teeth. "It’s losing control."

Ren narrowed his eyes. "No... it’s evolving."

A thick, putrid mist began pouring out of the entity’s body, spreading through the room. The broken test tubes around it started melting just by touching the mist.

Hiroshi quickly covered his nose with his arm. "Don’t breathe it in!"

Kami wiped her mouth, steadying herself. She summoned a barrier of pure mana around the squad, blocking the mist for now.

Meanwhile, Lucas and Alexia moved higher up on the broken platform.

"Tch. Idiots. They triggered its real form," Alexia clicked her tongue, but her voice carried a trace of unease.

Lucas shook his head, arms crossed. "They’re either gonna kill it... or all die trying."
