Recognized by My Ex After Being Reborn
Chapter 335 - Chapter 335 335 Nobody asked me

Chapter 335: 335 Nobody asked me Chapter 335: 335 Nobody asked me When they arrived in Moscow, it was nine in the evening local time. Since it was the rainy season in Moscow, it was raining outside the plane.

Sun Ling had prepared well in advance following the boss’s instructions, so when they got off the plane, he immediately took a denim jacket out of the carry-on and handed it to the boss to put on.

By this time, Moscow had already entered autumn, and the average temperature was hovering around the teens. Although the television crew had prepared, once they actually landed, they genuinely felt a chilling coolness. The others had brought jackets too, but they were still in their suitcases at the time, so they could only watch helplessly as Shi Lan and her companion comfortably put on their jackets.

After getting off the plane, they first went through customs, with the crew leading the way. Just then, Sister Xiaojin suddenly said, “I need to go to the restroom, does anyone want to come with me?”

The others were already extremely tired by then and, being in a foreign land surrounded by foreigners, felt quite insecure, so they all shook their heads.

At that moment, Shi Lan handed her bag to Sun Ling and said, “I’ll go.”

“Let’s go then,” replied Sun Ling.

Sister Xiaojin walked up and put her arm around Shi Lan’s shoulder, leaving the bulk of the group waiting there.

Shi Lan, familiar with the structure of SVO airport, efficiently led Sister Xiaojin to the restroom.

Sister Xiaojin looked at Shi Lan in disbelief. After coming out of the restroom, she saw Shi Lan talking to a white girl and… was she speaking in Russian?

Sister Xiaojin walked up to Shi Lan and found her apparently explaining something to the girl. After listening, the girl thanked her, tidied up her hair, and left the restroom.

This… could this be the An Lan who had supposedly never passed level four in English?

“Was that girl Russian?” Sister Xiaojin asked.

“Yes,” Shi Lan nodded. “She’s about to go to an Asian country and was asking about the weather and UV intensity there, so I gave her some advice.”

After all, it’s not often you meet an Asian who’s so fluent in Russian.

“So… you were… speaking entirely in Russian with her just now?” Sister Xiaojin asked, looking puzzled.

“Probably… maybe?” Shi Lan nodded assent.

“Does anyone know you speak Russian?” Sister Xiaojin queried.

“No one’s ever asked me,” Shi Lan answered.

After hearing this, Sister Xiaojin couldn’t help but laugh: “Even if they asked, you wouldn’t tell the truth, because you know what the artist’s purpose is for this trip; but it’s good that you keep a low profile since it makes things more interesting. Seeing your assistant take out the jacket earlier, and how easily you found the restroom–have you been here before?”

“I guess so,” Shi Lan didn’t deny it.

Just like that, two clever people had formed a closer bond in the restroom, and Sister Xiaojin had confirmed her judgment–this An Lan was no fool to be trifled with, she probably knew more than even her own team members who were completely in the dark.

She was this fluent in Russian; what about English?

Sister Xiaojin thought with a chuckle: “Ahh, there’s a good show coming.”

The two quickly rejoined the main group and continued on with the team to collect their luggage and pass through customs. Since it was everyone’s first time in Moscow, they took quite a few wrong turns along the way.

Shi Lan stayed silent and Sister Xiaojin, enjoying the show, watched patiently, amused by how the group teased An Lan who seemed uninterested in engaging with them. How intriguing, wasn’t it?

Just after eleven at night, the crew finally connected with the hotel.

By the time everyone left the airport, they were thoroughly exhausted.

Miss had been tired for a long time now, having never experienced such hardship in her two lifetimes. She used to relish private flights, but now she was forced to squeeze into economy class, enduring severe back pain, which made her really want to hit someone!

To suppress her irritable mood, Shi Lan leaned on Sun Ling’s shoulder and fell asleep again after boarding the bus.

The bus navigated through Moscow’s streets, and by then, the heavy rain had stopped. Binbin and others became more spirited and soon curiously asked while looking out the windows, “Why are there no English signs on the roads here?”

At that moment, the hotel receptionist explained in English, “Actually, the prevalence of English here isn’t that high, so, dear guests, you’ve entered travel hell mode.”

“Ah? English isn’t useful here?”

“What should we do? Can you speak Russian?”

“I think it shouldn’t be a big problem, right?”

Binbin and his companions expressed their anxiety one by one, not paying attention to their volume. Shi Lan pressed on and the other crew members carrying equipment were woken up by their noise, inevitably feeling some negative emotions.

Others could endure it, since they were employees and the talkers were artists.

But Shi Lan couldn’t, saying, “I don’t know how useful English is, but if you don’t control your volume, I think the problem is big.”

Several employees, upon hearing this, instantly felt better and calmed down. Binbin and his group, however, stopped making noise awkwardly but unwillingly, and they held a grudge against Shi Lan for making them uncomfortable.

But, who cares?

It was too late for anyone to dwell on those details, and after they arrived at the hotel, the aversion towards Shi Lan grew more obvious.

The driver got off the bus to handle the luggage, several people helped and took away everyone’s luggage except for Shi Lan’s and Sun Ling’s.

Did the boss mind?

He minded, kept a grudge, and would make them pay later.

The production team was willing to splurge, so their accommodation in Moscow was a manor villa, each person having their own private room.

But even though it was late at night, the production team didn’t plan to let them off. All artists were called to the living room and then announced, “You need to start activities early tomorrow, so we need to divide into groups tonight. Will you decide the groups yourselves or draw lots?” the director asked.

Binbin and his companions sat on the carpet, exchanging glances with the twin brothers and the young actor. They wanted to form their own small team, so naturally, they preferred to decide the groups themselves.

But being younger, they hesitated to voice this, instead subtly looked towards Sister Xiaojin to make the decision.

Sister Xiaojin smiled while sitting on the sofa, saying, “Let’s draw lots, for fairness. One to six, numbers one and two in one group, three and four in another, and five and six in the last.”

She wanted to see how long those on the carpet could hold out.

Shi Lan’s lips also curved into a smile, seemingly looking forward to seeing the expressions of those who would end up in her group.

“Then let’s draw lots.”

The production team put papers with numbers into a box, then handed it to everyone to draw. Once everyone had taken their slips, the director announced, “Numbers one and two, raise your hands.”

Sister Xiaojin and Xu Yang from the twins raised their hands.

“Numbers three and four, raise your hands.”

The other twin, Xu Sen, and Perry raised their hands.

“The remaining numbers five and six are Binbin and An Lan.”
