Chapter 130: Aura Display
Chapter 130: Aura Display
Adrian had never swam in his life, neither in his past nor his current one. The water was a foreign world to him, its pull and flow unfamiliar.
Yet, as he plunged into the river, he didn’t face any challenges staying afloat.
At first, he flailed, his arms slicing through the water awkwardly, his legs kicking too hard. The current tugged at him, and for a moment, panic flickered in his chest.
But his body adapted quickly and he found a rhythm, letting the water carry him as he learned to move with it. Soon, he allowed himself to stay in it for a while, floating on his back, the warm water cradling him like a gentle hand.
He had already taken off his clothes and occasionally, he let himself sink deeper into the water, feeling it close over his head, cool and heavy.
The sensation was strange but calming, a rare moment of peace in his relentless pursuit of progress.
After enjoying the warm water for a while, he retrieved some bath items from his [Inventory], including a bar of soap to get a quick wash.
He had made the soap himself, a blend of beast fat and plant extracts he’d refined in the Factory.
It was better than what others had access to and it had a good fragrance unlike most of the bars the world used.
Adrian understood he was contaminating the water, but he didn’t mind.
He planned on purifying it later, maybe even improving it for usage. For now, though, he let himself enjoy the moment, scrubbing away weeks of grime and sweat.
He stayed there, floating and washing, until he decided. "I’ve stayed enough, I should get going."
He retrieved some clothes from his [Inventory] and, with a wry smile, he wore them despite being inside the water.
There was no ground to step onto; the river stretched wide between the walls, and he didn’t plan on climbing to solid ground naked.
The fabric clung to his wet skin, heavy and uncomfortable, but he shrugged it off. He’d deal with it.
After Adrian was done, he swam to the other side with strong, steady strokes, his body cutting through the water effortlessly now.
Reaching the edge, he used a grappling hook from his [Inventory] and with a flick of his wrist, he fired it upward, the hook catching on a rocky outcrop.
He pulled himself up, his arms flexing with ease, and in moments, his feet touched solid ground above.
The moment he was steady, he returned to the Factory to change his wet clothes for new ones before he summoned his Rover next, the vehicle materializing in a flash of light.
Climbing inside and returning to the real world, Adrian settled into the cockpit said, "I can’t thank this Factory upgrade enough."

Adrian drove for a little less than an hour, the Rover’s wheels kicking up clouds of dust as he crossed the desert.
Small towns dotted the landscape, their low buildings huddled together under the harsh sun.
People stopped and stared as he passed, their eyes wide with shock at the sight of the moving metal beast.
Children pointed, and adults whispered but it didn’t make a stop, keeping his focus on the road ahead until he crossed into Varyn’s territory, the land growing greener and the air less dry.
Eventually, he reached the Capital City, its towering walls and bustling streets a stark contrast to the where he’d left behind.
He drove through the city, weaving past carts and pedestrians, until he parked before the Association’s buildings.
Stepping out, he made the Rover disappear into thin air, storing it in his [Inventory] with a thought.
The action drew gasps from the crowd around him. As Adrian stepped forward, it was obvious he attracted stares from all around.
Both hungry and greedy eyes locked onto him from the Adventurers nearby, their gazes sharp with curiosity and something darker.
The moment he made the Rover vanish, he noticed that many of the malicious stares eased, the crowd’s boldness faltering.
But some were stupid enough to keep it up, their eyes glinting with ill intent. Worse, Adrian could sense killing intent from a few, their thoughts swirling with greed and violence.
Adrian had originally planned to walk inside to meet with the Director without delay, but he changed his mind.
"I’ll make a small point," he said under his breath.
At that moment, those who looked at him with malicious intentions felt their wills collapse.
They fell to the ground, clutching their chests as if an invisible weight pressed down on them.
It didn’t stop there, the air around them seemed to vanish, leaving them gasping for breath, their faces pale with panic.
They tried to summon their magic, but it fizzled under the mental strain Adrian’s aura inflicted. His presence was a storm, unseen but undeniable, crushing their resolve.
Panic flashed in the eyes of everyone unaffected, but they didn’t dare move.
They knew the source of the attack... a boy no taller than 170 cm, with white hair and a face that looked too calm from what he was doing.
Yet his presence made their instincts scream to run, their hearts pounding in their chests. They stood frozen, too scared to take a step.
After Adrian had enough, he eased his aura, the pressure lifting like a storm passing.
The fallen Adventurers scrambled to their feet, still trembling, and without a word, he continued his stride toward the Association building.
Internally, he thought, ’I’m grateful an opportunity to test this came.’
He always wanted to know the extent of his strong will, and while what he did might seem like abusing his power, he didn’t care in the slightest. ’Let them learn.’
As Adrian walked in and approached the receptionist calmly, the atmosphere of the Association building was anything but calm.
Silence reigned outside as the affected Adventurers got up from the ground, still shivering in fear.
They didn’t linger, hurrying away to save themselves the embarrassment. Meanwhile, the unaffected stood in stunned silence, their minds reeling.
One of them muttered, voice trembling, "He... made Damien..." The words hung in the air, unfinished but heavy with meaning.
The narrative of what had just happened was almost too absurd to grasp. Damien was no ordinary Adventurer. He was an 8-Stroke warrior and a 7-Star Mage, one of the most experienced and strongest in the Kingdom.
He wasn’t loved, his cruel nature earning him more enemies than allies, but his power was undeniable.
Yet, a kid’s aura had brought him to his knees, powerless. One question burned in every mind:
"Just who is this boy?"

Adrian was currently with the Director, led to his office after the receptionist recognized him immediately.
He sat before the Director’s polished wooden table, the room filled with shelves of books.
"We almost thought you’d never be back," the Director spoke loudly. "We’ve tried all we could to find you, but to no avail."
Adrian nodded slowly. "Yes, I’ve been busy," he said, his tone calm but carrying an edge of focus, as if his mind was already elsewhere.
The Director smiled. "I’m glad you’re back, at least. That’s all that matters. I’ve... no, the whole Kingdom has been dying to use more of your products. They’ve become the norm now. Even the Academy is clamoring for more."
Adrian nodded again, his expression unreadable. "How are the reports of the explosions?" he asked, his voice steady but pointed.
The Director’s shoulders slumped, a defeated sigh escaping him. He knew exactly what Adrian was asking about.
"We’ve given up," he admitted, "but others haven’t. More customers come back daily, claiming their product malfunctioned. But we followed your directions to identify the cause, and we realized they tried to tamper with it. So we didn’t give them anything back."
He shook his head, a wry smile tugging at his lips. "You shouldn’t worry about it. People will keep trying, but soon they’ll give up."
Adrian had gotten plenty of notifications from [Superpublish] on their failed attempts to reverse-engineer his tech. He wasn’t surprised.
"Good, good," he said, his tone dismissive. "Well, I didn’t come here to chat."
He leaned forward, his eyes sharp. "I have more products for you. They’re quite a good number."
The Director glanced around, his brow furrowing as he saw no crates or bags. But he didn’t question it, trusting Adrian . "How many are we talking about?" he asked.
Adrian handed him a paper with the list, then leaned back in his chair, arms crossed over his shirt.
The Director’s eyes scanned the page, and his face shifted... First surprise, then awe, then something close to disbelief.

"100 Mark 2 Communicators"
"300 Mark 1 Communicators"
