Chapter 1886: Chapter 1880: No Experience

"Haha." Qing Yuran looked at her father and felt amused. Was it really that scary?

"You’re still laughing, looks like we’re in for some fun tonight." Ye Xuan looked at his daughter’s smiling face and felt his heart melt.

"Alright, let’s go inside, we can talk more inside." Chu Molin shouted to the two standing at the door from the courtyard.

"Okay. Let’s go in." Qin Xue responded to her husband’s words.

"Brother, I need some advice." Ye Xuan sat opposite Chu Molin, holding his daughter, looking at him eagerly.

"What kind of advice?" Chu Molin shot him a glance.

"Advice on taking care of a child." Ye Xuan lowered his head to look at the little one in his arms. Never having taken care of a child before, he suddenly found out he had one and now had to sleep with her. Truth be told, he was anxious, worried he wouldn’t do a good job.

"Ask Xue Ling, she knows." Chu Molin had only taken care of the baby during the confinement period, then his mother-in-law took over, followed by Xue Ling, so he really didn’t have much experience.

"Didn’t you say you were the one who raised your child? Why do I need to ask Xue Ling?" Ye Xuan was puzzled about what Chu Molin was getting at.

"Because she was the one taking care of the child, not me." Chu Molin didn’t take the credit.

"Oh, I see. Well, I’ll ask her later. Brother, honestly, is taking care of a child difficult?" Ye Xuan asked Chu Molin, why did he feel so anxious?

"It’s only a tad more tiring than us going on missions." Chu Molin thought taking care of a child was more exhausting than going on missions. You can’t hit or scold them, they wake wanting to eat, then suddenly they’ve wet themselves, there’s hardly any downtime to just rest, definitely more exhausting than going on missions.

"Terrifying." Ye Xuan was dumbfounded, was taking care of a child really that exhausting?

"Of course, you think raising a child is fun or what. Want me to calculate the cost for you?" Qin Xue chimed in after overhearing their conversation.

"What cost?" Ye Xuan didn’t know there were calculations involved in taking care of a child.

"Try it tonight first, and I’ll explain in detail later." Qin Xue didn’t want to discourage him, best let him try it out first.

"Alright then, what should I do now?" Ye Xuan asked.

"Fetch water for her bath, then put her to bed." Chu Molin glanced at Qing Yuran, who was looking sleepy, and told Ye Xuan the next steps.

"Oh, alright. I’ll fetch water, but what should I do with the kid?" Ye Xuan stood up ready to fetch water but was unsure where to place the child he was holding.

"Hold the child with one hand and carry the bucket with the other. What will you do when you’re alone taking care of the child?" Qin Xue calmly watched Ye Xuan, who seemed a little chaotic, hoping he wasn’t getting cold feet already.

Luckily Qing Zhu had a way, this one strategy got Ye Xuan to handle it himself, so he could realize how hard it was for women.

"Alright then, I got it. Yuran, let’s go wash up with Daddy." Ye Xuan took the little one to the kitchen.

"Chu Molin, I’ll watch the baby, you better take the child to wash up too, or he’ll clumsily hurt the child." Qin Xue said to Chu Molin.

"Okay." Chu Molin agreed, not because he feared Ye Xuan wouldn’t care for the child properly, but because he saw Cong’s exhausted wife and didn’t want her to do it herself, so he agreed.

"Brother, are you washing the child too?" Ye Xuan wasn’t sure what to do when he saw Chu Molin bringing the child in.

"Wash and then rest." Chu Molin calmly scooped water for the child’s bath.
