Chapter 1792: Chapter 1786 Barbecue
"So, what’s your take, Qin Gang?" Qin Xue looked over at Qin Gang.
"Let’s do it." Qin Gang wanted to give it a shot. Though life at their place was better than some others, it didn’t compare to Qin Xue’s household, and with a new member joining their family soon, the future pressures were bound to increase.
Qin Gang thought that if he didn’t find a way to change things now, life would get tougher for his family later; by then, it might be too late to seize this opportunity with Qin Xue’s shop. So after hearing his mother’s response and Qin Xue’s question, he decided to go for it.
"Alright, I get it. You all eat bean sprouts, right?" Qin Xue asked Qin Gang and his group.
"We do, but I’ve heard they’re tricky to make, which is why they’re a bit pricey." Aunt Qin Gang had tried them once and thought they were delicious, but she hesitated to buy them after hearing the price.
"I’ll teach you how to grow bean sprouts to sell. Do you have the confidence to manage it?" Qin Xue asked Qin Gang’s mother and son.
"Honestly, not much confidence." Not only was Qin Gang lacking confidence, but Aunt Qin Gang was even less certain.
"Actually, you don’t need to be too worried or concerned. It’s quite easy, as long as you control the temperature and humidity just right." Nangong Beiying chimed in.
"Exactly, Yingying, explain the process to them. Lele, bring your notebook and pen over." Qin Xue took a look at the skewers in her hand and decided to let Nangong Beiying teach them.
"Aren’t you worried I’ll teach it wrong?" Nangong Beiying glared at Qin Xue. There goes her laziness again—she just said one thing, and suddenly, it’s her job!
"No, if you can’t do it well, then I’d be even worse at it." Originally, Qin Gang and Aunt Qin Gang felt a bit uneasy hearing Nangong Beiying, but Qin Xue’s words reassured them.
Thinking this young lady might be even more capable than Qin Xue, their confidence grew stronger. Human psychology can be so peculiar.
"Sis, I’ve got it. What should I do?" Qin Jiale handed the paper and pen to Qin Xue.
"Why give them to me? Just write down what Ying says. Especially listen carefully to the parts about humidity and temperature, remember them well." Qin Xue didn’t even look up as she replied to her sister.
"Okay, I’ll jot it down." Qin Jiale resigned herself to sitting on a nearby chair, placing her notebook, and starting to record what Nangong Beiying said.
But the more she noted, the more Qin Jiale realized how truly impressive they were; they even knew this. After listening to Nangong Beiying, Qin Jiale found growing bean sprouts wasn’t difficult, only no one had taught them before. Without guidance, it was hard to grasp the key details, and those were the most crucial parts.
"Did you understand it? If there’s anything unclear, please speak up; otherwise, by the afternoon, we’ll be leaving, and you won’t have anyone to answer your questions." Nangong Beiying said unreservedly.
"Yeah, Yingying’s right, that’s how it is." Qin Xue handed the freshly grilled skewer to her sister, then took the notebook from her hand to look over it. Not bad, the key points were noted down. It turns out her sister is quite a good note-taker.
Meanwhile, Chu Molin was with a few kids, eating the skewers at the side, occasionally glancing over at Qin Xue’s group. Seeing them busy talking and noting, he didn’t pay much attention but instead focused on helping the children with their food.
"Brother, this tastes better than what we had before." Yu Chen spoke while his cheeks were stuffed.
"Finish what’s in your mouth first before talking." Chu Molin frowned at his youngest son, worried about choking.
"Uh-huh." Yu Chen caught a glimpse of his father and saw he was frowning coldly at him, quickly nodding in compliance. His father’s anger was scary; best not to provoke him.
