Chapter 1692: Chapter 1686 Yu Ze Disappeared
Qin Xue was speaking as she walked home, but a major incident had occurred at home.
"Grandma, Yu Ze..." Cohen was running so fast that he could barely catch his breath as he spoke.
"Cohen, where is Yu Ze?" Nangong Shulan didn’t see her eldest grandson and had no idea where he had gone.
"Someone took him away. I couldn’t catch up, so I came to call you." They had been playing near the entrance when suddenly someone appeared and carried Yu Ze away. The incident happened so abruptly that Cohen, being so small, hadn’t reacted before the person had already run far away. He tried to chase, but he was too little, so he had to come back to call for help.
"Where, which direction did they go?" Qing Zhu had just entered and immediately asked Cohen upon hearing what he said.
"Over there." Cohen had specifically kept an eye on the direction the person went, afraid that no one would be able to find them.
"Godmother, go call for help. I’m going to see if I can catch up with them." Qing Zhu, being younger and faster on her feet, offered to go after them.
"Alright, I’ll ask Yuran’s mom to look after him." Nangong Shulan never would have imagined that while pouring water for her grandson, such a thing could happen right at her doorstep. Her anxiety made her feel like an ant on a hot pan.
"Alright, Cohen, go to Great-Grandma’s house with your grandma and your two other brothers, okay? We’re going to look for Yu Ze." Qing Zhu didn’t feel safe leaving the three children alone at home.
"Alright, Aunt Qing, you have to bring Yu Ze back," Cohen cried as he begged her. He understood all too well what it meant to be taken away by someone, and he didn’t want Yu Ze to go through the same thing.
"Yes, Aunt Qing will definitely bring Yu Ze back, so you all need to stay home and be well-behaved, okay? I have to go find him now; otherwise, it’ll be even harder to find him once he’s far away." After reassuring Cohen, Qing Zhu handed the children over to Nangong Shulan and rushed off in the direction Cohen had indicated.
In this village, strangers rarely appeared. Who was the person that took the child away? And why, out of so many children, did they choose Yu Ze? Was it because they couldn’t carry more children, or was there another reason?
Qing Zhu walked briskly while pondering these questions, but she couldn’t figure out the reason. She decided it was more important to find the child first and think later.
"Mom, where are you going?" From afar, Qin Xue spotted Nangong Shulan’s hurried figure and called out to her.
"Qin Xue, you’re back. Mom is so sorry; Yu Ze was taken away by someone. I’m going to find people to help search for him." As Nangong Shulan spoke, tears began to flow.
"What? Yu Ze is missing? When did this happen?" Qin Xue hadn’t expected to hear such shocking news the moment she returned home.
"Not long ago, about ten minutes or so. Qing Zhu has gone after them. I brought the children here to your grandma and am now going to find people to help her." Their house was relatively far away, so she would need to go to the neighboring village to gather help.
"Mom, don’t panic. We’ll go find people right away. Please take the things back home and wait for news. Yingying, go home with my mom and wait for information. Everyone else, please help look for the child. Is that alright?" Qin Xue turned to those behind her and asked, sounding almost pleading.
"Sure, we’ll go find people right now. Miss Qin, you go back with Aunt and wait. We’ll definitely find the child," Cloud quickly responded to Qin Xue’s request.
In situations like this, everyone would pitch in to help, especially since it was Qin Xue’s child. Such a cute little one—they had to find him no matter what.
"No need. I’m fine. I’ll join the search. The more people we have, the better. Don’t worry about me." Nangong Beiying couldn’t bear the thought of staying home at such a critical moment, so she adamantly refused to stay behind.
