“Xue’er is feeling unwell, so I wanted to cook up some sugar water to replenish her energy,” replied Chu Molin, not aware that Qin Xue was not unwell, but simply feeling out of sorts due to her menstruation.

Having been consuming spiritual spring water for health maintenance, Qin Xue had long since restored her body to its optimal state. She wouldn’t experience any discomfort.

“Let me do it, you can go back to your tasks. When it’s ready, I will bring it to her,” Fang Xiu offered, passing him a note. She recalled how they both had their own families and thought it wasn’t appropriate for them to have too much contact, even if Chu Molin was a nice person. If she did the task, it would avoid unnecessarily lengthy interactions between them.
