Chapter 277 - 276: Inhuman Appetite

Chapter 277: Chapter 276: Inhuman Appetite

Eat!

When Ichise Hui was summoned and entered the private room, Principal Mars was indulging in a feast.

"Get a bigger bowl!"

Principal Mars had no decorum of a food industry magnate; in each hand, he grasped a large pork leg, his fingers glistening with oil.

One bite to the left, another to the right, his youthful, delicate baby face puffed up, meatballs rolling inside his mouth.

Meanwhile, Chiyoda Aichi and Dubian Yuuki were sitting in front of the tea table. Although they were already full, they couldn’t resist the temptation of delicious food, struggling to swallow with a mixture of happiness and pain on their faces, leaving Ichise Hui to silently mourn for them.

Sometimes the world is just that difficult. Encountering a rare feast but not having the stomach of a competitive eater to indulge freely.

Principal Mars and the two professional women were the exact opposites.

His appetite was clearly awakened. Watching him chew and swallow food aggressively, his demeanor turned increasingly non-humanlike.

Ichise Hui brought over a much larger bowl, the rice piled up like a mountain.

"Delicious!"

Mumbling unclearly, Principal Mars didn’t use the spoon prepared by Ichise Hui. Instead, like a wild beast attacking its prey, he aimed directly at the peak of the rice mountain, biting off mouthfuls, soon covering half his twisted face with white rice grains.

The atmosphere in the room grew increasingly bizarre.

Chiyoda Aichi and Dubian Yuuki stopped eating, quietly retreating from the tea table, and eventually, they simply moved to the door.

"Rice—"

Lifting the empty bowl, Principal Mars scanned the room with eyes full of desire.

Ichise Hui’s body trembled. She tensed up, feeling as if a zoo lion had its eyes fixed on her, instinctively sensing danger, her arms even breaking out in goosebumps.

"The rice is gone."

Ichise Hui looked towards the electric rice cooker in the room.

With one hand, Principal Mars directly grabbed a piping hot Crucian Carp, a freshwater fish full of tiny bones, and stuffed a big chunk into his mouth. Continuing with the momentum of consuming roast chicken and suckling pig, he chewed and swallowed the fish meat, leaving only three large fishbones on the plate, swallowing all the tiny bones—terrifying!

Ichise Hui, carrying the second pot of rice and sweating profusely, returned. Seeing him come back, the already frightened Chiyoda Aichi and Dubian Yuuki immediately cast a pleading glance.

"Let’s step outside—" Ichise Hui gestured toward the door, silently conveying the message through lip-reading.

Outside the room, the three glanced back at the Super Chef completely engrossed in his binge eating, exchanging looks, feeling chills down their spines.

"How can someone eat so much!" Chiyoda Aichi murmured softly, filled with disbelief.

"Second pot of rice!"

Dubian Yuuki turned back, her cherry-like lips also forming into an O-shape.

"Plus, one chicken, one suckling pig, three fish, almost all eaten by him alone!"

"Not too nonhuman, I suppose." Ichise Hui doubted her own statement, "Many competitive eaters have stomachs 3 to 4 times larger than normal before they even start eating. Far Moon also offered a similar analysis class, Professor Miyazaki Takuo said those competitive eaters’ blood sugar rises slowly while eating, so they don’t feel full and can keep eating..."

"Our magazine also interviewed a well-known competitive eater girl," Dubian Yuuki tried to calm down, explaining with a stiff smile. "A normal person’s blood sugar hits about 30, and they feel full and stop eating, but that girl’s blood sugar can rise to 75 without feeling full!"

"They also analyzed that competitive eaters’ ’brown fat cells’ differ from ordinary people, allowing them to eat large amounts of food and digest it quickly."

"But none of this is the point!"

Dubian Yuuki took a deep breath, "We conducted an experiment on-site, and after eating, the competitive eater girl’s stomach was 66 times larger than before eating!"

Ichise Hui and Dubian Yuuki racked their brains for scientific data to justify Principal Mars’ ferocious binge-eating behavior as still within the range of normal humans.

Ten minutes later.

The tense atmosphere in Room 1 had somewhat dissipated.

Principal Mars had consumed all the edible food, his expression easing, his eyes regaining a trace of rationality, and he began looking for tissues to clean the oil from his hands and the food remnants on his face and body.

"Seven more dishes..."

Then, Principal Mars looked up towards Ichise Hui at the door, smiled and said, "Almost halfway there. I’m starting to be satisfied with the food here."

He then stretched out two fingers.

"Now my stomach is twenty percent full!"

"Twenty percent?"

Pupils shrank, and Ichise Hui lost her voice.

Chiyoda Aichi and Dubian Yuuki looked at each other in horror. What the hell!

"Whatever percentage full my stomach feels is exactly how full it is. It wouldn’t lie to me, and as a guest, there’s no need for me to deceive you either," Mars said as he put down his napkin. "Moreover, over the next two hours, my stomach will digest the food, which means in two hours, it will be completely empty..."

"I don’t need to be fully satiated, but it’s most reasonable to be seventy to eighty percent full."

"I hope your restaurant can satisfy me to seventy or eighty percent fullness!"

Mars gazed deeply at Ichise Hui.

"Please wait a moment, the third course is coming right up!"

Ichise Hui, masking the shock in her eyes, turned and hurried off.

Chiyoda Aichi and Dubian Yuuki wouldn’t dare enter Private Room 1 and be in the same room with that monster. They quickly followed Ichise Hui.

"Student Ichise, may we take a look in the kitchen?" Chiyoda Aichi ventured a request.

"Let me ask Chef Xia first!"

Having the two ladies wait outside, after a moment, Ichise Hui emerged carrying four tiers of steamers with heat-resistant gloves; two tiers filled with "Rising Dragon Dumplings" and two with "Flame Dragon Roll Fish Fin Sausage."

"Go ahead, Chef Xia agrees, but don’t wander around."

Ichise Hui didn’t have time to say more and left hurriedly with those words.

When the two professional women entered the kitchen, they found it buzzing with activity.

The fourth round’s three dishes, "Magical Mapo Tofu," "Shuangjiang Magical Mapo Tofu," and "Great Magic Panda Tofu," were being prepared.

Two woks sat on the stove, and Xia Yu was skillfully operating one with each hand, working in unison.

The ingredients were all ready.

Whatever Xia Yu needed, he just spoke up.

"Kobayakawa, minced garlic and soybean ground meat!"

"Eriina, bring me a big ladle of beef broth—"

The rhythm was completely under Xia Yu’s control, with the two young women bustling about assisting.

This scene, seen by Chiyoda Aichi and Dubian Yuuki, couldn’t help but impress them. The kitchen was the young chef’s battleground; he was the commander, and the assistants and other helpers were the soldiers at his command.

"Wow!"

Chiyoda Aichi was the first to spot a wooden mold sitting on the kitchen counter.

Wisps of steam escaped from the tiny crevices.

"What’s this? Is it also a dish?" The two whispered in the corner, not daring to interrupt Xia Yu’s cooking flow.

Moments later, a sweat-drenched Ichise Hui returned.

Bang!

The emptied four-tiered steamer was placed on the counter, and with difficulty, Ichise Hui announced, "He... he’s finished all the food again, not a drop left!"

The kitchen fell silent for a bit.

Kobayakawa Ryodan and Tiqie Helinai both stopped and watched the young man operating at the stove, waiting for his next command.

"Just a moment, the tofu is almost ready!"

"Is the other pot of rice also done? Bring it along too!"

His voice betrayed no hint of fatigue.

With his back to them, Xia Yu’s eyes clearly displayed readiness for another challenge.

The Demon of Food, huh?
