In the Imperial Study Room, The Emperor, seeing the memorial and the stack of evidence in his hands, threw them onto the ground in anger.

"Are these investigations you conducted indeed true?" The Emperor’s authoritative voice echoed.

The Minister of Justice hesitated slightly, but only for a moment. He then knelt down solemnly and said, "Your Majesty, everything I have investigated is true, without a fraction of falsehood."

When he had received all the evidence, he too was slightly stunned, never expecting that the mastermind behind the scenes would be the imprisoned Second Prince.

The carriage had just arrived at the entrance of Anji Hall when Qingxia and Ah Mo saw Eunuch Zhu waiting.

Shao He lifted the carriage curtain and jumped down, leading Qingxia toward the waiting Eunuch Zhu.

"The Emperor’s health has worsened rapidly. He became excessively agitated today, leading to coughing up blood and fainting," Shao He briefly explained, adding that more details would be provided inside the palace.

"Faster," Pei Huaian urged, slightly nervous, no wonder he had felt uneasy earlier.

Ah Mo’s speed was swift, arriving at the palace even quicker than Eunuch Zhu.

"Ah, Doctor Shao, you’re finally here. Please examine The Emperor quickly," Eunuch Li ushered her in and pushed her towards the inner chambers.

As Shao He walked, she took out a pouch of needles. Upon reaching the bedside, she immediately pulled out a silver needle and inserted it into The Emperor’s head.

She then took out needles of various sizes and inserted them into other acupoints.

In less than the time it takes for an incense stick to burn, The Emperor slowly regained consciousness and opened his eyes to see Shao He standing before him.

"How come you’re here?" The Emperor asked weakly.

"Do you feel any better, Your Majesty?"

The Emperor struggled to sit up but was stopped by Shao He, who said, "Your Majesty, please don’t move yet; there are still needles in your body."

The Emperor slowly closed his eyes. Had his body really become so weak?

"Father, how are you feeling?" Pei Huaian walked in, saw the scene, his face paled, and he immediately asked with concern.

The Emperor did not speak but lay silently on the bed.

Pei Huaian wanted to say more, but Shao He tugged at his sleeve, signaling him to keep quiet.

Time ticked away second by second, and the entire chamber was dead silent, with no one daring to speak.

After a quarter of an hour had passed, Shao He removed the needles from The Emperor.

The Emperor, supporting his body to sit up, felt a profound weakness that made him realize he might not have much longer to live.

"Huaian, do you know the results of the Minister of Justice’s investigation?"

"I am unaware," Pei Huaian responded, looking down.

The Emperor cleared his throat and said, "It’s that scoundrel Pei Chengye. I thought he would behave himself, but he has committed such an inhuman act. It’s truly disappointing to me."

"Father, please calm your anger, don’t harm your health," Pei Huaian said anxiously.

Upon hearing this, The Emperor came to his senses and looked at him.

"I..." The Emperor had barely uttered a word when he suddenly felt an itch in his throat and couldn’t help but spit out fresh blood, his hand drooping down.

"Father!" the Crown Prince cried out in shock.

"The Emperor!" Eunuch Li and Shao He called out.

"Father, Father, please wake up!" Pei Huaian kept calling out.
