Chapter 478: Chapter 480: Heading to Nameless Village

Shao He twitched the corners of his mouth slightly at his words, but still asked, "Prince, what kind of apology would you consider sincere?"

"Take the opportunity to cook this prince a bowl too. It has to be personally cooked by you to count as sincere," Pei Hanze said earnestly.

Shao He had not expected his request to be so simple and suddenly felt a bit petty.

"Alright."

Qing Shan outside the door had been staring at the young man sitting in the distance, always feeling that something was off about him.

Qingxia came over with a grin, "Sister, why have you been staring at that young man? Don’t tell me you have some unusual thoughts about him?"

Qing Shan’s icy gaze turned towards her, "Put away your playful nature. This place is full of dangers; don’t run around everywhere, and certainly don’t trust anyone lightly."

Qingxia stuck out her tongue, "Yes, I got it, Sister."

Having said this, she ran towards the young man with a bun and stretched out her hand to give it to him.

The young man lifted his eyes slightly, looking at the person smiling at him without responding.

Qingxia grabbed his hand and placed the bun into his palm, "Eat it."

The young man looked at the white bun stuffed into his palm, then back up at the girl in front of him, and then slowly tore off a bite.

Seeing this, Qingxia’s eyes narrowed in satisfaction. She sat down next to him, resting her chin in her hands and said, "Eat slowly, careful not to choke."

The young man seemed to understand and slowed down, deliberately chewing.

Qingxia said cheerfully, "My name’s Qingxia, what’s yours?"

"..."

The young man did not reply.

Seeing this, Qingxia spoke again, "Let’s be friends!"

"..."

The young man remained silent.

Qingxia felt a bit dejected, "Are you really a simpleton? But why do I feel that you’re not?"

"..."

"Where are you from? Does your hometown have many beautiful boys like you?"

The young man still didn’t speak.

Qingxia pursed her lips, "No use talking to you."

After speaking, she got up to leave.

"Yun Hua," a faint voice came.

Qingxia turned around, a faint smile on her lips, leaned in close to him, and whispered, "You’re really good-looking, and your name is pretty too,"

Yun Hua froze, his gaze settling quietly on the person in front of him, a gentle ripple appearing in the depths of his eyes.

Seeing this, the smile on Qingxia’s face brightened, "From now on, we’re friends."

Yun Hua remained silent, merely pursing his lips and lowering his eyes to hide all emotions.

Qingxia didn’t mind his silence and bounced away cheerfully.

Once she had gone, Yun Hua’s lips curved into a subtle smile that no one noticed.

Meanwhile, Qing Shan was observing his every move from behind, pondering for a long time before finally stepping forward.

"Whether you are truly naive or pretending, I hope you do nothing you’ll regret, like getting close to Qingxia or hurting the young lady," Qing Shan said with a tone that was sharp and threatening, "If the young lady suffers the slightest grievance, I will surely kill you."

Qing Quan looked up at her, said nothing, and made no response.

Seeing him still appearing dazed, Qing Shan sighed and turned to walk in a different direction.

After Qing Shan had left, Yun Hua slowly got up, his gaze following Qing Shan’s retreating figure until she disappeared around a corner, only then retracting his gaze and stepping away.

At dawn, the bright sunshine bathed the land.

Shao He had just come out of the house when he felt gusts of cool wind hitting him. The sky was gloomy, and the clouds were thick, looking as if it was about to rain.

Pei Hanze and the others had also gotten up, and everyone began their journey after a simple breakfast in their rooms.

Luo Cheng especially drew a map for them, indicating how to get to Nameless Village and warning them of the dangerous areas around.

"Be very careful on your journey, and try to avoid going deep into the forest if you can."

Although Luo Cheng had lived in Jingzhou for many years, he had never entered the forest of Nameless Village.

Few people entered there; rumors tell of man-eating monsters, or that immortals dwell within, but whoever enters never returns.

Therefore, Luo Cheng was deeply worried about their journey, fearing for their safety.

"We’ll be extra cautious. Take good care of everything here," Shao He instructed.

Luo Cheng nodded solemnly, "I will."

Then, Qingxia and the others took some pastries and water and set off with the rest.

After half a day’s trek, they finally arrived at the front of a small hill.

"Nameless Village is just ahead," Luo Cheng said, pointing to a low thatch-roofed hut in front as they were about to crest the small hill.

Shao He and the others stopped for a rest and to regroup.

Suddenly, a strong wind blew by, forcing people to squint their eyes.

"This damned weather!" Qingxia cursed involuntarily.

"Let’s hurry on. If we delay further, we might get caught in a heavy rain," Pei Hanze urged.

"Alright!" Shao He answered and led everyone to continue on their way.

About half an hour into their walk, a bolt of lightning struck an ancient tree.

Rumble——

Several more peals of thunder followed in succession, frightening everyone into seeking cover.

"Ah..."

Suddenly, a face appeared before everyone, startling Qingxia so much that she clung to Yun Hua’s arm and screamed,
