Reborn As Cursed Alpha's Mate
Chapter 254: Meal On Moon

Chapter 254: Meal On Moon

"I am here, mom. I know you tried your best. It all worked out," Cassandra reassured her mother as both of them separated.

Aylin held her daughter’s shoulder and blinked away the tears gathering in her mesmerising eyes.

"You look so strong, so beautiful." Unable to hold herself back, she kissed her daughter’s forehead and let her eternal love seep into her.

Cassandra smiled. "I am. Riemc and Sahli lifted the curses."

"We have been working around it for a while. I couldn’t interfere, or it would have gotten worse, but we found the loophole and took the initiative. We needed to wait for you to be reborn first," Aylin revealed, her heart fluttering to see her daughter free of that damnation.

"You strengthened me and my mate. Helped us find our true selves," Cassandra answered with a pleasant reassuring smile for her mother. Siroos silently watched from the side, letting the mother and daughter have this moment.

At Cassandra mention of her mate Aylin turned her attention to Siroos, the greatest and mightiest of her creations.

A motherly warmth spread through her, seeing him appear so strong and confident but have a gentle smile. He stood protectively beside her daughter and she knew there couldn’t be a better partner for her.

"Kael!" She called out the beastly Alpha who exuded raw power and authority. Everything she had blessed him with.

"Goddess Aylin!" Siroos spoke reverently, his eyes dipping in the respect of the goddess while his heart brimmed with love she showered with just her presence and words.

"You are everything a male should be in this world. Needless to say, I am proud of you."

She stepped towards him and held his giant muscular shoulders. The raw, overwhelming power hummed under his skin, and she could sense how strong he had become since Riemc had changed his status from human to a god.

The internal strength an individual held always counted towards how the person would be as a god.

"Thank you! For allowing me to prove myself. I won’t disappoint." He could sense the serenity this woman held, she watched him with pride buried deep in her glittering orbs. Siroos understood where Cassandra had gotten her calmness from.

"Both of you will bring balance to your world. I can concur with that, and I will always be there to assist. I am proud of how both of you crossed every obstacle and emerged victorious." The pride in her words brightened their smiles.

"Come, let’s have something to eat; you must be starving." She turned, and her life-like gown moved like a second skin over her body.

Cassandra and Siroos followed her as Aylin led them towards another door. Her long beautiful hair flowed behind her with a mind of their own.

The door opened off its free will as they approached, leading them down a corridor with white walls, silvery veins shaped like flowering vines ran through them.

"Your castle is the most beautiful one I have seen in my life. Fitting one for a goddess," Siroos complimented as he squeezed his mate’s hand.

Aylin smiled.

"I built it with the help of my lunar creations. Both of you are welcome to stay here but I know you have duties to your pack. But visit me, whenever you can."

"We will, Mom."

They entered another colossal room with a large dining table in the centre covered with all kinds of dishes.

The table seemed to have been constructed from the same moon rock which had been used for the palace. It shimmered like still water.

"Come, let’s eat." Aylin spread her hand forward.

They approached the table and observed the different assortment of dishes.

The table was adorned with celestial delicacies, presented with precision and beauty. Baskets of silver apples, glowing grapes, and translucent peaches rested in crystal bowls.

Platters of star-shaped pastries, moonlight-infused custards, and breads with different shapes and sizes which Siroos had never seen before were displayed.

Different kinds of tender meats.

Chalices filled with shimmering lunar nectar and sparkling stardust elixirs were carefully arranged.

Silver candelabras lined the length of the table, each holding a single candle that burnt with a soft, silver flame.

It was a grand feast arranged just for the two of them. The same fairy-like creatures in white costumes stood near the table to serve them.

"Please! Have a seat," Aylin offered while settling in her chair of white marble with cloud like seating. One of the servers had pulled back the chair for her.

They did the same for Siroos and Cassandra, letting them comfortably nestle into their chairs and began to serve them a variety of food, the kind that only existed in stories.

Cassandra picked up the silver cutlery and cut into the star-shaped bread that had been served. She placed a small part into her mouth, and it instantly melted like snow, but the taste was exquisite.

Siroos, on the other hand, was unsure of where to begin. He wished to eat all at once and taste every delicacy that had been served.

He started with the silver pudding and Cassandra had to stifle a laugh seeing her mate starting with sweet.

Aylin was savouring the wine from the silver chalice. Taking a sip, she began to speak again; she wished to tell them everything in detail.

"Your father’s curse didn’t let me see you most of the time or talk to you in person with clearer words. I would get snippets and blurred images but could feel your sorrow-filled heart. That’s why I had to make such a prophecy, but Siroos and Faris are sharp. They figured it out in no time." She praised tilting her head slightly towards Siroos who was stuffing his mouth with the pudding.

He quickly gulped it down and picked up the napkin to wipe his face, his cheeks tinged light pink as he spoke.

"We were a bit stumped upon the part of Aiko but Faris figured it out. Now all left to do is exact revenge on those who have wronged me and my mate."

A subtle smile and glint of mischief could be seen on Aylin’s face.

"You mean my ex-husband and Kalthian. Well, I can’t wait to see those smug smiles wiped off their faces. Riemc and I have ensured they can’t curse you again. It was my mistake the first time around, I had never believed he would curse his own child, but I was wrong."

Aylin’s apologetic eyes dipped towards Cassandra on her left.

Her daughter quickly reached out and clasped her mother’s soft hand in hers and gave it a gentle squeeze.

"None of it is your fault and I am stronger than before, much stronger. Siroos and I can take them now. We have a plan."

Aylin didn’t doubt her daughter for even a split second. She believed in her.

"If you defeat him I believe with all of my heart that you can. Put the condition that he will retire as the god of thunder and that mantle will pass to someone else, someone worthy and not biased and conceited."

"Can’t my mate take his position?" Siroos questioned, now diving into some tenderly cooked meat.

Cassandra simply shook her head.

"I don’t want to but if I win I will steal his thunder and award it to someone worthy and I have the very person in mind," she shrewdly answered.

Cassandra had no plans of staying in Axiom, she was going to live in Dusartine along with her mate and impart love for all.

"You will choose well, I believe in you, Asara." Aylin’s heart swam in satisfaction finally seeing her daughter so happy and content. The love she couldn’t have, her daughter was able to receive and retain it. She couldn’t be prouder.

"But that Kalthian. Once I rid the world of him, his power will be mine. My dragon will love it," Siroos announced with an evil glint in his eyes.

Aylin approved.

"He is one of the mightiest creations of me. I love how the two of you get along so well."

"Would you like to meet him? He can speak now. Gildaryn blessed him with speech," Siroos chuckled, making Aylin nod in approval.

"I would love to. After the meal, let’s go outside. I have something for you." Aylin turned to her daughter. Cassandra felt a thrill rush through her.

"Can’t wait."

After they had concluded their meal, Aylin led them outside the castle, towards the back gardens where silverish white trees rustled in the gentle breeze. Their bark seemed to have been constructed from silver streaks.

Under one of such trees was a creature resting on its big puffy paws and seemed sound asleep.

Cassandra’s hand rushed to her mouth as she cast her eyes on the creature and shrieked in excitement.

"Fanir!!!" She rushed towards him with tears dropping in her eyes. It had been so long since she had seen him.

Fanir opened his gorgeous yellow eyes and focused them on Cassandra. Stumbling to his paws he instantly stood up and let out a howl of excitement, flapping its long white wings in the air.

Siroos and Aylin watched with broad smiles on their faces for this union to take place.
