"Mei," Sasha said in a serious tone, her eyes focused on the girl in front of her. "I've been trying to contact you for the last few days. Stop ignoring me!"

Maruti—Mei—glared at her coldly. "What? Do you want something from me?"

Sasha didn’t back down. She folded her arms and said, “Why? Can’t I talk to my sister?”

She then glanced at Kailith and Arlecchino, who were standing beside Maruti. Sasha had never talked to Kailith before, but she knew about Arlecchino and knew that she definitely got most of her screw loose.

“You better choose your friends wisely,” Sasha said while walking away. “Or you’ll get your screw loose too.”

She didn’t look back after saying those words, leaving an awkward silence behind her.

Kailith and Arlecchino looked at each other, confused. Kailith raised an eyebrow. Arlecchino just tilted her head like she didn't understand what just happened.

Maruti blinked, then slowly understood what Sasha meant. A small chuckle escaped her lips. “So even she knows that Kailith and Arlecchino got down screw loose? Is this the power of an elder sibling?” she whispered, slightly impressed.

The outdoor training started soon after. The first activity was shooting practice.

Everyone stood in a long line in front of the targets. They were told to conjure their element—whether it was fire, water, earth, wind, or something else—and hit the targets as accurately as possible.

Some students created small fireballs, others formed water spheres or sharp rocks, and launched them forward. The instructors walked around, observing and giving tips.

After the shooting session, it was time for weapon training. The students who had chosen similar weapons were put into groups.

There were groups for sword users, spearmen, gauntlet fighters, and even heavy broadsword wielders. Each group had one or two instructors who taught them some basic moves, how to hold the weapon properly, and some footwork.

Once that was done, they were told to have a light spar with each other to test what they had learned.

Maruti had joined the bec de corbin group. She moved with elegance and force, quickly overpowering her partners one after another. She didn’t even get a scratch on her body—her form and strength were far above the others.

Meanwhile, Arlecchino joined the saber group. Despite her odd behavior and silent movements, she was calm and focused during the match. Her attacks were clean, her movements sharp, and she easily defeated her opponents.

No one even guessed that she wasn’t from Class A. She looked completely natural there.

Meanwhile Kailith didn't joined any team and just watched maruti's performance.

After the sparring ended, there were some casual activities like throwing training balls, doing rope jumps, and a few magical reaction drills.

Finally, the instructors told everyone to run thirty laps around the academy grounds.

At first, Maruti ran with full energy, her legs moving quickly and her breathing calm. But after doing a few laps, her speed slowed down. Her thoughts started to wander.

“This is so boring,” she thought. “We just shot some fireballs, fought weak goblins that were already enslaved, did a few light sparrings, and now we’re running in circles.”

She sighed, but then smirked and nodded to herself.

“Well, I guess this is normal. Eve though all are elites, Most of them are still Rank D… . This kind of training is perfect for them.”

She raised her chin proudly, a confident smile on her face. “But I’m different. A Rank B level student in just a few months., Heh...Heh… Not everyone can be as talented as me!”

She rubbed her nose with her finger, completely proud of herself, before speeding up again.

After the laps ended, the teacher cleared his throat and announced, "You'll get a thirty-minute break. Since you've already done sparring with each other, it's time to fight with others. You can choose to fight with or without weapons,  mana, or even one versus many. It's up to you!"

Maruti's eyes sparkled with excitement. "Now that's something good! I'll start by beating up my sister first!" She relished the thought of escaping her elder sibling aura

Just as she was about to move, Kailith and Arlecchino approached her from both sides, their arms wrapping around her lightly. "Don't you find this boring? Let's skip classes!" Kailith whispered, her voice seductive as she hugged Maruti from the right.

Arlecchino chimed in from the left, his voice filled with mischief. "Yeah, let's do the same thing as last time. It was amazing! Haha, After regaining memories, Alice was so embarrassed that she fainted after  that night!"

Maruti tried to push them away, her voice firm. "Don't do such intimate actions. Others will definitely get the idea about us!"

But Kailith and Arlecchino acted as if nothing had happened, their bodies pressed close to hers. They leaned in, their breaths hot against her ears as they whispered sultrily, "Please, Mei~!"

Kailith's voice was especially enticing, her charm palpable. Maruti's face flushed a deep red, not from Kailith or Arlecchino, but from the word "Mei." It was too embarrassing to hear.

She shoved them away and took a few steps back, her voice raised. "Stop using that name! I don't even know what that name means!"

In truth, Maruti knew exactly what "Mei" meant. In tribal customs, especially among the Lothal tribe, there was a small festival where they made a particular doll and worshipped it. On that day, women were allowed to eat delicious food first. The doll's name was "Mei-tei," which generally meant "Cow-girl" or "Fertile woman."

The reason for the worship was that their cows would give more milk, and women would give birth to many children, ensuring the tribe's growth and preventing fears of low population. That's why every time Maruti heard "Mei," it felt like someone was calling her a "Cowgirl" or a "Fertile woman good for bearing children."

Meanwhile, Kailith and Arlecchino, unaware of the true meaning of "Mei," thought Maruti was just hiding her "chunibyo" side. They looked at her with hopeful eyes.

"C'mon, Mei, we'll definitely be more gentle this time," Arlecchino coaxed.

Maruti's lips twitched with anger, but she contained it and sighed. There was no point in arguing with them. She thought for a few seconds, a smirk playing on her lips. "How about we duel? Every time I lose, we'll do a round of sex. And if I win, that will either cancel out my loss or we won't do it for the number of particular days I win!"

Kailith and Arlecchino exchanged glances and then smiled, their eyes gleaming with anticipation. "Deal!" they said in unison.

Meanwhile, in the quiet underground chasm, the soft glow of dim lanterns flickered against the cold stone walls. Esdeath had just finished taking the pictures she needed. With calm and graceful steps, she returned to where Lortell was waiting. Selene walked beside her, her expression proud and content. She looked completely satisfied, especially after being kissed on the forehead by Esdeath and praised for doing a her answer.

"You are done?" Lortell asked, her red eyes calmly resting on Esdeath.

Esdeath gave a small nod in reply.

There was a brief silence. Then, in a soft and thoughtful voice, Lortell said, “I’m thinking of resigning from this position too… so I can spend more time with you. Monitoring this whole trafficking business takes too much of my time.”

She paused, her gaze lowering slightly as if weighing the decision in her heart.

“So, if you want to set them free, I can make it happen,” she continued, her voice gentle. “Once I’m no longer the controller, I won’t be responsible for where those slaves go.”

She looked into Esdeath’s eyes as if searching for her reaction.

But Esdeath only smiled—no, smirked—shaking her head slightly with a knowing look.

“No,” she said, her tone calm yet full of meaning. “But I do have another request in mind.”

Before Lortell could say anything else, Esdeath stepped closer and spoke clearly, “For the time you’re still the controller, make every slave under your control refine these: Guts Essence Stone, Enthusiasm Essence Stone, and Surging Moral Essence Stone.”

Esdeath named all low ranking essence stone that can enhance and strengthen one's spirit.

Lortell blinked, eyebrows rising as she realized what Esdeath meant. “Ohh… yeah, those will be great for your growth,” she said, a small smile appearing. “But don’t go overboard. Using too many of them at once can put a heavy burden on your mind and spirit.”

Esdeath gave a gentle nod, her black hair lightly swaying, “I’m aware.”

At the same time in the academy, the sky had already started turning orange as evening approached. Most of the students had finished their sparring matches and gone back to their rooms, homes, or wherever they had work to do. The training field, which was once loud and filled with shouts and clashing sounds, was now quiet... except for one corner, where a fierce battle was still going on.

Maruti was breathing heavily, sweat dripping from her forehead, but her eyes were focused and sharp. She was dodging fast punches and powerful kicks coming from both Kailith and Arlecchino at the same time.

The duel was without any mana or weapons. Maruti already knew she didn’t stand a chance if they used those. Kailith was too powerful. She could easily defeat several Rank B awakeneds on her own. And weapons were useless too—Maruti still remembered how her previous fight with Kailith ended. Her bec de corbin had bent like a toy on impact. She had to request a new one from the academy after that.

BAM!

Maruti's and Kailith’s fists clashed mid-air, the sound echoing through the empty field. At the same time, Arlecchino slid in like a shadow, trying to grab Maruti’s waist to throw her off balance.

But Maruti was quick.

Without missing a beat, she twisted her body and brought her leg high up in the air for a clean axe kick aimed at Arlecchino’s head.

Arlecchino, however, stepped back gracefully. With a fluid twist of her body, she spun and delivered a backflip kick.

Whoosh!

The kick cut through the air, but Maruti managed to sidestep just in time.

BAM!

The kick smashed into the ground instead, and the impact created cracks on the stone tiles. Arlecchino wasn’t using mana, and she was holding back too... yet the ground still cracked. That was her raw strength.

Maruti barely had time to feel proud of dodging that when—

KWAACK!

A strong punch landed on her ribs, knocking the air out of her lungs and sending spit flying from her mouth.

It was Kailith’s punch.

Maruti winced, holding her side, but she didn’t back down. “Fighting one against two... is really insane! Specially against these horny women!”, she cursed in her mind, teeth gritted, eyes burning.

She turned to attack Kailith back. But Kailith was already getting into position, planning to take her down seriously this time.

And then… Kailith paused.

Her eyes landed on Maruti’s white shirt. Because of the heavy sweating, the shirt had become see-through. Her black bra with thin laces could be seen clearly. Her face and arms were wet, and her whole tanned body seemed to glisten under the fading sunlight.

Kailith froze for a moment. Her cheeks turned pink.

She stared—just for a split second—but it was more than enough for Maruti.

BAM!

A sharp kick hit Kailith’s leg, making her stumble. And before she could recover, Maruti jumped and spun in the air. Her foot crashed directly into Kailith’s face.

Kailith flew back and landed with a thud.

Arlecchino blinked in surprise and leaned forward slightly to help, but Maruti didn’t waste a second. She bent low, lunged forward, and wrapped her arms around Arlecchino’s waist tightly.

In one smooth move, she flipped backward.

BAM!

Arlecchino’s head hit the ground, and both of them collapsed.

Maruti lay on her back, chest rising and falling fast, panting hard, her eyes full of pride and disbelief.

“I-I won!” she giggled, still out of breath.

Kailith stood up slowly, brushing dirt off her uniform, and walked over calmly.

Maruti looked up at her and asked, “What’s the score now?”

Kailith’s expression didn’t change. She looked calm and unbothered, like someone playing a game they knew they’d win from the start.

“29-2,” she said plainly. “Now you won one. So it’s 29-3.”

“Fuck!” Maruti shouted, kicking the ground in frustration. But then she smirked and jumped to her feet, eyes shining with energy again. “One more time! Just one more!”

They fought again.

And again.

After a while, the score was 30-3.

Thus maruti didn't tried to gamble again and accepted her loss.
