"Brilliant! Truly brilliant!"
As the battle between Jia Yan and the Scaled Creature concluded, the Four-eyed Monster walked up loudly and boldly.
He was extremely satisfied with the strength of Jia Yan, the Big Mosquito.
Though it was not a fight that had involved their fullest effort, seeing a glimpse was enough for him to feel like he had discovered a treasure.
"Your strength is immense; you can join our auxiliary forces in the Angel Camp," declared the Four-eyed Monster, quite pleased with Jinyan.
"Thank you! And I appreciate this lady for showing mercy," Jia Yan replied quietly to the Four-eyed Monster, also making sure to express his thanks to the sulky Scaled Creature standing beside him.
He was truly sincere, for the mechanisms on the creature’s scales hadn’t been employed, though Jia Yan didn’t believe their use would have caused him any harm.
"Hmph!" The Scaled Creature snorted lightly and turned its head away, refusing to respond.
The incident did not cause either party to part on bad terms; under the cordial invitation of the Four-eyed Monster, Jia Yan joined the ’auxiliary team’ of the Angel Camp and was immediately assigned as a core member of the team.
It wasn’t long before he arrived at the gathering place for the auxiliary team members.
This was also where he would be staying in the future.
"Lord, this is the residence we’ve arranged for you. It was a bit of a rush, so the conditions aren’t very good. I hope you will pardon us," said a Heavenly-level monster, leading Jia Yan to a remote area and continuously apologizing.
"It’s okay, I arrived quite suddenly. It’s not your fault," Jia Yan said lightly.
The building they faced was not very large; it might not have been considered small on Earth. But for the enormous body of the Big Mosquito, it looked rather undersized.
However, Jia Yan had endured much hardship before, so this was a minor issue to him.
The Heavenly Peak-strong creature led Jia Yan inside. His body was too large, almost unable to pass through. Fortunately, after squeezing a bit and nearly breaking the door, he managed to reluctantly enter.
"I hear there’s a new member coming later. Do you guys know what strength this guy has?"
He had just entered and hadn’t walked far when a voice carried over.
"What new member, just someone else here to scrape by. It would be okay if this guy behaves, but if he doesn’t, we can give him a taste of his own medicine. You know, our auxiliaries train in combat every day."
A few voices spoke up from inside. Hearing this made the Heavenly Peak monster leading Jia Yan break out in a cold sweat.
He looked at Jia Yan, but unfortunately, he couldn’t discern any change in emotion on the Big Mosquito’s impassive face.
He quickly raised his voice and called out at this moment!
"You few, come here and meet the new Lord!"
"Lord? Could it be that he’s the new member? Let’s go out, if this guy misbehaves, we’ll give him something to chew on," a haughty voice said, unafraid of being heard by those outside.
Footsteps then started to travel from within, heading towards the front door.
And another voice strangely rose.
"The manager said it’s ’Lord’; don’t be rash."
"The manager is respectful to everyone, isn’t he? So why bother so much about it? It couldn’t possibly be a Starry Sky Level being," the previous haughty voice continued arrogantly.
Click!
As the inner door opened and several figures appeared in front of Jia Yan’s enormous body...
"Uh... this this this."
A monster that looked like a monkey, standing two meters tall, could be discerned from his words as the one previously talking about handling the ’new member.’
But as soon as the door opened and he caught sight of the terrifying body of the Big Mosquito, his eyes widened suddenly.
The other Heavenly-level Strong creatures were also shocked at that moment, staring at Jia Yan’s terrifying form.
Being large was one thing since some species were also large, but not necessarily strong.
But the dreadful aura emanating from Giant Mosquito told these Heavenly-level monsters that he was not just any Heavenly-level being, but a genuine Starry Sky Level Expert!
The monkey-like creature was extremely frightened. He looked around, and aside from the manager, there was only this formidable Starry Sky Level presence. So, was the supposed new member this presence of the Starry Sky Level?!
He felt he was in trouble!
"Alright, Tu Fan, you offended a Lord of Star Level. You will now go do five thousand sets of offensive training. If you don’t finish in three days, add another three days. If still incomplete, I have the right to kick you out of the auxiliary team. Understand?" The manager coldly commanded while making continuous gestures to the monkey monster.
"Yes! I’ll start now, thank you, Lord, for your understanding!" The monkey monster, as if granted amnesty, quickly nodded, fearful that Jia Yan might say something else, and hurriedly headed toward a certain area to the rear.
This guy knew that the manager was covertly helping him out.
Without a word, the monkey monster, who appeared to be a king amongst the auxiliaries, was taken down.
However, Jia Yan was not the least bit concerned, just like these monsters depicted, the gap between Starry Sky Level and Heavenly Level was too vast. For Jia Yan, it was merely akin to dealing with an ant-like existence.
