Just as he was about to shoot...
Boom!!!-------------
In the sky, a violent explosion of energy raged forth. The prey in front of him was startled and immediately fled.
Tang Eltangz also clenched his fist in irritation.
He turned to look at the sky, wondering what had interrupted his hunting.
But soon, he was rendered speechless, his face frozen in terror, his mouth agape wide enough to fit a fist.
It was a colossal monster!
This monster was plummeting violently towards the ground.
However, this was not what surprised Tang Eltangz the most. After all, the presence of such powerful creatures was nothing unusual on Tianlong Star. What surprised him was that the creature seemed extremely familiar!
He looked at ’Little Mosquito’ beside him, quietly sipping from the tree trunk, then back at the behemoth in the sky, and suddenly cried out!
"Little Mosquito! Look, is that a monster in your family tree? Ancestor is here!"
He cried out in excitement, as though he had seen the most interesting thing.
But the scene that unfolded next left this native of Kudi Tan tribe utterly dumbstruck.
The giant creature seemed on the verge of collapse.
During his fall, he used his own strength to mitigate the speed of his descent. The flames caused by the air friction disappeared instantly.
You could see that this monster had elongated mouthparts and was wearing an armor that, despite its decades-long battle scars, seemed even more impressive.
With a body over thirty meters long, if it were to fully stretch out its terrifyingly long limbs, it could cover an area of 100 meters. It was undoubtedly a formidable monster!
However, this monster was in poor condition.
The concerned expression barely formed on Tang Eltangz’s face before his suspicion was confirmed!
"How dare you violate my airspace!"
A voice suddenly resounded, echoing throughout the vast forest.
Tang Eltangz felt a tight knot in the pits of his stomach, and he quickly lowered his stance.
He knew that this voice belonged to the true ruler of the forest, the supreme being and the most powerful creature here.
If discovered, he, a weak Kudi Tan tribesman, would be doomed. This lord would not care if he had come out on a covenant mission.
But that entity obviously had no intention of dealing with him, a mere ant. At this instant, a figure dwarfing the sky monster emerged forcefully from the forest!
The monster in the sky didn’t have a chance to react. It was hit hard by this figure as it arrived.
Boom!!!-------------
An impact wave arrived, not even granting Tang Eltangz the opportunity to react. He was thrown more than ten meters by the blast wave from the battle taking place hundreds of meters up in the sky.
He crashed into a tree and almost passed out!
The monster adorned in heavy armor too had no means to retaliate. After a single attack, it was sent flying far away!
Boom, boom, boom, boom!!!-------------
The ground nearby vibrated as the monster fell, causing countless trees to be destroyed.
It was as if the earth itself was shaking!
The rising dust cloud left Tang Eltangz coughing.
"Humph! Whoever dares to invade my territory and airspace will be treated the same way. All creatures here should mind themselves!"
Leaving behind these words, the giant creature who arrived last didn’t stick around. As it disappeared with a rustling sound into the distance with superhuman speed, it seemed like it could cover several hundred kilometers in an instant.
Meanwhile, Tang Eltangz took quite a while to recover from his coughing fit!
As the sound of the creature wore off, he finally heaved a sigh of relief.
"What a bully! Try bullying the space mercenaries in Open City! Being the king in your own turf doesn’t make you a hero!"
Green with bitterness, Tang Eltangz thought that even though they, the Kudi Tan tribe, didn’t have many beings of such power, he was certain that they could call out a few if need be. If not for the small number of his people here, they wouldn’t have been in such a dire predicament.
"That monster must be dead now. Who knows where it came from, being so doomed to run into this executioner."
After some thought, Tang Eltangz got on his mount, ’Little Mosquito’, and slowly flew towards the area where the large flying monster fell.
"I need to check if that poor thing is edible. If it is, we can feed our camp for quite some time."
Such was his thought.
But he would not for the life of him have thought that the monster attacked by the Forest Lord could still be alive.
In the smoky area, a large body sat motionless on the recessed ground. Appearance-wise, it was dead.
The monster’s wings were quite large, taking up more than half of its body, and the wing muscles were incredibly developed.
The armor was tremendously solid. Even after such a powerful attack, it didn’t seem to have been damaged much.
But all these efforts were in vain.
"Lord, he had reached the Heavenly Peak power! Killing this powerful beast was all too easy for him."
Tang Eltangz stood in front of the dead beast, trying to see which part could be edible.
"I can’t decide this on my own. Maybe I should discuss it with the custodian and see if I could loan a transport vehicle to move this beast back to the camp. I can’t possibly carry it by myself!"
Upon having this thought, Tan Eltangz quickly went back to the camp.
"Application? You guys even want the beast’s corpse? Well, it doesn’t matter if we give it to you, but you are sure it is dead, right? If it’s still alive and you bring it back, be careful the lord might claim your lives!"
