Chapter 739: Chapter 22 Time Flies [Asking for Subscription]_3
"However, we’ve found that the two hundred meters level warship is still not far off."
"..."
Daphne fell silent for a while before shaking her head lightly at her obedient Auster female subordinate. "I understand, you may leave now."
The woman retreated as she was told, but at that moment, Daphne picked up her smart brain with a slight frown.
Jia Yan also had one of these smart brains, but due to his unusually large body shape, there was no suitable model for him, so he rarely used it.
She tapped on the screen, and after a few operations, she opened a piece of data.
Soon, a video record appeared on the screen. The holographic image showed that when their fleet was collecting resources, a two hundred meters level warship appeared not far off, then hid again. Their ships, which weren’t military, couldn’t detect it at all!
"How is it possible? If we had entered warp speed travel, ordinary warships shouldn’t be able to track us. But this time it didn’t attack, could it really be planning to follow us to the Solar System?"
Daphne fell into silence again.
"This warship is definitely not an ordinary one; it might even be an advanced model from one of the larger civilizations. However, regardless of whether it’s an advanced model or how it tracked us down, since it hasn’t attacked, it might not necessarily attack in the future!"
"But whether this non-aggressive attitude will remain the same when we reach Earth and they discover the star-condensed substances, and the earthlings, is uncertain."
Daphne pondered over the intentions of this warship that had been following them. She had considered whether it might be the Auster civilization or the Ru Lan civilization, but she dismissed all these possibilities.
If the Auster civilization saw them, they would definitely engage in combat. And if the Ru Lan civilization stumbled upon her, a defector, they would undoubtedly harbor no good will toward her. They would definitely attack straight away, instead of pursuing without attacking.
"Could it be...the incredibly mysterious Insect Clan?"
Upon thinking of the Insect Clan, Daphne felt chilled to the core. Even though she always knew that the Insect Clan was mysterious, it wasn’t until that day their commander appeared that she truly realized that the Insect Clan was a much more complicated species than she had thought.
After some thought, she ruled out the possibility of it being the Insect Clan.
This was because they were simply too mysterious and powerful. Even Lord Assassin could not face them and had no choice but to flee. If they wanted to do something, they wouldn’t be so surreptitious, right?
Moreover, Daphne knew that if the Insect Clan’s commander wanted to tail them quietly, they most likely wouldn’t be able to detect him. They wouldn’t be able to glimpse his ’shadow’ so often. This means that either the opponent’s operating skills were not superior, or the opponent’s concealment abilities were not enough to obscure themselves completely from their fleet. Daphne felt that neither of these possibilities would occur with the incredibly mysterious Insect Clan.
"Never mind, since they show no ill-intent, we should hurry on. After all, the two civilization exploration ships represent the peak weapons of civilizations hundreds of years ago. Its immense power, even by today’s standards, is terrifying. If things go badly, we can at least provide some assistance due to our formidable combat powers."
Upon determining this, Daphne decided to continue with her travels.
Time continued to pass, even as the undercurrents silently stormed."
Eight months went by and finally, a full year had passed since Big Mosquito had returned to Earth."
Earth, this blue planet, changed drastically in that one year.
A year ago, Earth was under the threat of the Metal Monster, with people unable to fend for themselves and even resorting to cannibalism. It was truly tragic.
But after Big Mosquito returned, the Earth underwent an earth-shattering transformation at a phenomenal rate.
Only four months had passed, and Earth’s changes were already drastic. But now...a whole year had passed. The changes on Earth were beyond earth-shattering!
If you asked any earthling a year ago, nobody would believe that their race, which was living under the threat of the Metal Monster, would undergo such a transformation in just one year.
The sky was blue.
In the ocean, a two hundred meters level yacht was cruising slowly.
The people on board appeared to be no more than fifteen or sixteen-year-old children.
They were all earthlings.
And all of the children were wearing uniforms, indicating that they were from the same school.
"Haha, I didn’t expect our first autumn trip of the school year to be this luxurious. Our half-year of hard work was worth it after all."
A student greedily took in the surrounding deep blue sea, everything to him seemed incredibly fresh.
"Tch! We’re hardly putting in effort, this is just an ordinary school’s autumn trip. Are you aware of the trip that Class 3 of Year One is having? They’re the top performers of our school in Year One. Their autumn trip is actually a trip to the Moon!"
Another student with a childish face seemed uninterested in the beautiful ocean scenery in front of him.
"How can we compare with those beasts? Most of them have already learned up to the Level 3 in half a year, they are the top students. Comparing us with them is like comparing a firefly with the bright moon, utterly impossible!"
