Jia Yan nodded, then proceeded to walk past the crowd...

Behind this batch of monsters was the small village where Jia’s family lived.

In fact, the strong individual who had been guarding the village had been ordered by Jia Yan to leave after the Huaxia Metal Monster was eliminated because Jia Yan only had five able-bodied subordinates. Any strength at his disposal was precious when faced with the vastness of the entire Earth.

Fortunately, the village did not suffer any harm due to the departure of its guardian.

The village seemed to undergo a huge transformation with the arrival of the Giant Mosquito.

With news of their victory, the village was in a state of euphoria. Candles, ordinarily too precious to light, were now burning. The sunset would soon be upon them, and when darkness fell, the sight would likely be beautiful.

The villagers, in their excitement, spontaneously organized a celebration.

Though the village only housed close to a hundred or two various, the commotion was significant.

They laughed, cried and danced.

In the ten years’ time, too many had died at the hands of the metal monsters, with hardly a soul without a friend or loved one among the deceased. Even among the living, many were disabled or injured.

Now that the metal monsters had completely disappeared from the Earth’s surface, how could they not be elated and marvelled?

A multitude of emotions combined formed a complex sensation hence some would laugh, then suddenly start sobbing, while others would cry then eventually break into laughter.

Almost as if they had gone mad!

The sun setting in the west washed over them it its warm glow. The Giant Mosquito, bathing in the brilliant sunlight, appeared as a vast golden statue, dazzling to behold.

A little girl sat at the edge of the crowd, holding in her chubby hand a battered little bowl.

The bowl contained some diluted substance that didn’t look particularly appetizing. Still, the little girl savored each bite as though it were a treasure.

Suddenly, her large eyes looking upon the jubilant crowd lifted towards the sky.

"Choo choo!" The adorable little girl pointed into the sky and began to yelp.

Upon hearing the little girl’s sweet voice, Jia Yan’s mood gradually lifted from the gravity of impending battle, bringing with it a sense of joy.

Indeed, without his days of tireless work, Earth could not have been safe so quickly. Perhaps, if not for him, both he and his newfound ’baby niece’ would have remained in danger.

With that cute childish voice, the strenuous efforts of the last few days felt well worth it.

"Mr. Giant Mosquito is here."

Voices echoed from the ground below as the people looked upon the Big Mosquito overhead their faces a mix of joy and respect.

Jia Yan flew gently over the village before gradually descending.

That massive body, possibly larger than the village itself, was a sight of terrifying awe.

However, not many villagers were afraid, their dominant sentiment was reverence.

This Giant Mosquito, which by now was dearly loved and immeasurably appreciated by everyone on Earth, really had managed to fulfill its promise and quickly eliminate the metal monsters after arriving in their village.

In just five days!

In such a short time, it had turned the tide on Earth. The number of people this Giant Mosquito had saved was unimaginable to the few dozen survivors in this small village. Their paltry population in the hundreds was negligible compared to the billions who existed.

But even after rescuing so many humans, the Giant Mosquito returned to this small village. A testament, indeed, to its deep connection with this place!

Even this connection, to every villager, was a secret. Possibly, only the Giant Mosquito knew the reason for its care for this village, or more precisely the leader and Jia’s family!

But the truth did not matter anymore.

With such a formidable creature, capable of effortlessly saving Earth, on their side, wouldn’t it guarantee a bright future for their village?!

This was the favor of the Giant Mosquito! On Earth, having the favor of the Giant Mosquito implied unimaginable opportunities!

They were uncertain about what the rest of Earth would look like in the future, but the residents of this village knew that establishing a good relationship with Jia’s family, who were held in high regard by the Giant Mosquito, would only enhance their lives.

"Lord Giant Mosquito!"

All the villagers, including their two leaders, rushed forward to greet him. After all, their victory was closely tied to this powerful creature before them.

"From now on, you may simply call me Assassin," spoke Jia Yan after a moment’s silence.

After all, to refer to him as ’Giant Mosquito’ wasn’t quite appropriate for Earth’s people. Having weighed his options, Jia Yan decided against using his original name and chose to stick to ’Assassin,’ a name given to him by the Battle Pet enthusiasts from the Grey-Yellow Star.

"Yes, Lord Assassin!"

The man with glasses reflected on this name, sensing some story behind it. However, he was unable to investigate further, for someone of this magnitude could not be easily comprehended by mere Earth people.

"Construction teams will be arriving here shortly. This small mountain village will soon become the center of a colossal city. I acted on my own volition, I hope you won’t mind," said Jia Yan casually.
