"Little Lin, it’s your shift?" The bearded man frowned, "Xiao Yao should really not have let his wife do all the work."

"Not at all, it’s something I want to do. Everyone has already helped our family so much, I can’t keep burdening everyone," the woman awkwardly shook her head and laughed.

Her mature face still seemed to carry some traces of girlhood, and her soft, apple-shaped face made her look considerably younger. She looked like a girl in her twenties.

Eleven years had passed since her brother’s death. Over these years, not just their home, but the entire world, had changed a lot. Whenever she thought of her brother, Jia Yan, Jia Lin felt sadness in her heart...

If her brother was still alive, would their home be better off?

Despite not believing her brother could have made a big difference, Jia Lin still entertained such thoughts.
