Chapter 659: Chapter 32: Starry Sky Used Goods Merchant! [Seeking Subscriptions]_1

Jia Yan remembered the name of a huge transport ship from the Earth City Fleet and couldn’t help but speculate about this settlement.

Nevertheless, this matter didn’t really affect him. After being briefly lost in thought, he followed behind Daphne and entered the ’entry’.

The entrance was actually a gigantic ’gate’ opened on the glass surface that enveloped the entire asteroid. Because there is absolutely no gravity in a vacuum, it doesn’t matter even if this gate appeared to be upside down.

The gate, about seventy or eighty meters wide and long, was more than enough for Jia Yan to pass through.

After entering a long passage, Jia Yan saw something similar to an Earth ’customs’ check point. More than ten staff members, as well as five or six individuals who were about the same size as Jia Yan and his companions, were waiting there.

When they saw creatures as enormous as Jia Yan, and whose powerful looks implied their strengths, they all became serious.

"Pay your fees and tell us your plans for entering. We will consider granting you access based on the situation," said an official-looking individual without any trace of neglect. After all, the strength of the team in front of him was overwhelmingly powerful, and they didn’t underestimate it.

"We’re here to purchase some necessities. I presume your settlement has no objections," said one of the Strong Ones, who had once ’roamed’ the Starry Sky, standing next to Jia Yan. He then took out a black card and handed it to the official.

Fortunately, this creature had experience aiding them. Otherwise, the others, who lacked relevant experience, would have undoubtedly exposed the fact that they weren’t native Star creatures.

While a non-issue, it was still a nuisance.

The official paid some fees through the card with the strong one, then returned the card after swiping it through the box-like device he had. The transaction seemed to be complete.

He then turned back, looked at Jia Yan and the others, and hesitated before nodding, "Fine, I hope you behave yourselves once inside. Remember that our internal defense weapons are aimed at you at all times!"

"Understood."

With a reply from Jia Yan’s team, they moved through the other side of the gate and truly entered the ’settlement’!

"These guys, they are strong," said a Monster with at least Heavenly level strength gravely after Jia Yan and his companions passed by.

"Don’t worry, they won’t dare to make trouble. However, we should still report this to higher authorities as these creatures are a tremendous threat. A team that could be at the Heavenly Peak level, travelling in such a shabby commercial ship, clearly their main fleet hasn’t arrived." The official was also extremely solemn.

Regardless of the ’custom officers’’ feelings of fear, Jia Yan and the others managed to enter the Daville settlement.

"There’s some gravity here!" exclaimed Jia Yan as he entered, feeling his body sinking a little.

However, he didn’t embarrass himself. Apart from a few research-type Earth City inhabitants who didn’t have strong Power, the rest were able to steady themselves after a brief staggering.

This was one of the impressive aspects of the settlement—they had managed to construct a decent Gravity System. Even though this system was barely more effective than nothing, it was a Gravity System nonetheless, probably a bit weaker than that of the moon in the Solar System, but gravity was still gravity.

Those who have never lived in the Universe cannot understand the dependence and yearning for gravity. Some creatures, due to being wanted, can no longer stay on any large planets. Occasionally, they spend a lot of Money just for the experience of gravity.

However, since Jia Yan and the others had just come out of Grey-Yellow Star, they couldn’t empathize with such feelings, and thus they went ahead without any abnormalities.

"Lords, is there anything you need? I can serve you, saving your time," proposed a Monster resembling a Centipede over a meter long, skidding over from one side and its Brainwave Power resonating.

Even though Earth City didn’t have much Money, it was nonetheless a Power and its pillaged gold and silver weren’t too insignificant. Thus, they could at least afford to hire a local creature to guide them. So under Jia Yan’s direction, that familiar Strong One hired the Centipede Monster.

After exiting the gate, they were in a hall roughly two to three hundred square meters where several detection Devices stood. Led by the Monster, Jia Yan and the others advanced safely.

"Our Daville settlement has been established for over a hundred years. Moreover, the leader is the son of the once powerful Grey-Yellow Star native, Rockford. Hence, we have a high reputation in the Starry Sky," said the Centipede monster proudly, raising its head as it relayed the information while its hundreds of legs shuffled busily.

Jia Yan and the others listened while they walked. However, they wouldn’t reveal the fact that they belonged to Earth City given the recent shocking incidents there on the Grey-Yellow Star that caught the attention of fringe forces across the Starry Sky! After all, an unprotected fleet supposedly carrying looted goods from Earth City seemed like a juicy morsel to all these forces.

Apparently, the Centipede Monster had no intention of probing further. Through its explanation, they discovered that the Daville settlement had a population of nearly ten million. However, a majority of them were nomadic beings, with less than 20 percent being ordinary residents. Even so, it was undeniably an unimaginable powerhouse.
